Feel like I'm losing it trying to feed this dog (long post, seeking advice)
I've had my girl since she was 9 weeks old and it's been a struggle to get her to eat for 4 years. From day one it has been hard to get her to eat, even the food she had been eating before I adopted her. The not eating wouldn't really be that big of a deal but she is also underweight. I had no idea huskies were so picky before I got one, then when I did my research I didn't feel comforted because she is totally missing the mark for breed standard weight AND she is skinny skinny. She looks like a sight hound wearing a husky costume. Some context in a list: -she is 100% pure bred Siberian Husky (and yes I know pure bred does not mean well bred) -her father is also small, weighing only about 45lbs -however her mother weighs in the 55lbs area -breeder informed me father was also very picky as a puppy but we are well passed puppy years -she used to seem to have bilious vomiting syndrome but it has cleared up recently -you can feel her spine and clearly see her pelvis My girl weighs about 30lbs. She's also not a wholly coated dog, she has very short fur which shows her figure more, I'm aware even some dogs that are bigger than her are still svelt under the fur, but she seems way too small. Her energy level is pretty low but that came with age, she used to be way more demanding and got two to three walks per day, now she's fine with one walk, some scent games, several trips out into the yard, and some dedicated training time. When we aren't doing those things she mostly naps. I take her on hikes pretty often and she doesn't get overly tired after, ten miles barely affects her energy level. So here's what I've tried to get her to eat not in consecutive order: -purina pro plan large breed puppy food (fed as an adult on rec from the vet to try and increase her calories).I could give her two cups of this out of an airtight container and she would peck at it for two to three days before it was gone -open farm raw mix, ancient grains formulas, rotated flavors. She kind of liked this for two months and then began to leave her food untouched -eukenuba large breed puppy food. Wouldn't even eat it -fresh pet dog food, the roll versions you can slice to portion. Roasted flavors. Wouldn't eat it unless I warmed it up and then wouldn't eat it without cottage cheese -purina beneful blends, always bought the variety box of beef, chicken, and lamb. Rotated flavor every single day. She would eat this the most consistently however she would never eat the recommended amount for her goal weight or even her current weight. She would sometimes eat two in one day and that was a miracle, mostly she would eat only one in one day. She needed it to be warmed up and in the end she needed some kind of addon like shredded cheese or yogurt or she wouldn't eat it -steves real food freeze dried raw duck. Wouldn't eat it as food, would eat it as treats -steves real food raw beef wouldn't eat it at all. Didn't want it if it was thawed on the fridge, didn't want it if I put it in the microwave low to defrost, didn't want it if I fried it on a pan (I know I know dudes but I was desperate for her to eat anything) What she is currently sort of eating but still will turn away from: -vital essentials frozen raw. She gets the recommended amount of beef for her weight as well as half a patty of vitals duck split between two meals every day. She is also getting some green juju veggie blends added into her food, and bone broth to warm it and make it smell nice. I've started adding in honey I'm home liver powder to try and increase the kcal amount in her food if she ends up not eating as much. She also gets a pre and probiotic chew every morning that she loves a lot and sometimes she gets some goats milk and fruit in her pupsicle. The good: -her poop is fantastic, it's consistent and firm without being too hard, she doesn't struggle to relieve herself and doesn't show discomfort -skin and coat are doing very well -teeth are very clean, I do also brush them Bad: -she is still not gaining weight and some days she won't eat one of her two meals. Giving her all of her food in the morning or evening doesn't work for her because she will still turn her nose up at an entire meal of she isn't I to it that day -im losing my mind trying to find more mix ins and toppers and things that she will actually enjoy eating. I gave this girl pita chips on her dinner the other day just so she would eat it -she always always always wants to eat human food but not dog food I don't know y'all. I'm looking for advice, I'm looking for tips, I'm looking for someone who knows some rare husky wasting disease I've never heard of. Has anyone tried those goop tubes you can get at petco that they give to dogs after surgery that need to gain weight? Should I try making satin balls for her to eat? Should I just give her oatmeal?? I have taken her to the vet so many times. Some pill for apetite stimulation didn't work. They have checked her levels for me multiple times because I'm so sad she looks emaciated to me and I worry she isn't getting proper nutrition. I have tried feeding her kibble as treats while training and she just spits it out. Also I appreciate people have opinions on wether or not raw food is or is not safe for dogs but please do not make the discussion about that. I have professional kitchen experience and know how to handle food and when it has to be taken up and how long it can be thawed and raw in my fridge. I trust the brands I have tried, this isn't what this post is about. Thank you in advance. Also included pictures of her submitted by /u/vulshanna to r/husky [link] [comments]

For my friend's elderly toothless cat that was prescribed a horrendous 70$ montly renal support diet (blended all of this into a paste after taking the pic)
Note, cat has chronic UTIs but has not developed CKD. She has been eating wet food but we realized it would actually be cheaper (and probably healthier) to make it from scratch than to pay for a urinary/renal support prescription canned food that contains mostly rice flour :-/ NOT PICTURED: pure cranberry juice for urinary support + 10 fish oil capsules (dissolved into the broth made from the chicken bones) + 6 eggs ~64oz — Chicken thigh meat + skin ~48oz — Chicken breast meat ~48oz — Chicken thigh bone broth ~16oz — Cranberry juice + beef gelatin ~16oz — Chicken hearts ~ 8oz — Beef sirloin steak (freezer burnt) ~ 8oz — Chicken gizzard ~ 6oz — Salmon skin ~ 4oz — Cooked chicken fat & connective tissue (from broth) ~ 2oz — Pork kidney & liver (mostly kidney) Added unsalted seaweed for iodine + calcium powder to substitute bones. Total came out to ~13lbs of food, for only about 50$ considering I had a lot of organ meats already on hand for feeding reptiles and as toppers for my own cat's canned diet. Don't have a scale right now, so I used deli containers and eyeballing to measure. Added relatively low amounts of secreting organs because a renal support diet should have low phosphorus. I used predominantly kidney instead of liver due to its lower phosphorus concentration. submitted by /u/eldritchpussymaggots to r/rawpetfood [link] [comments]

I went through a weight loss phase and have bought some questionable items. Chickpea pasta was ok, but chickpea rice was just too much of a fake food for me. Zoodles are fine, but the frozen ones are going mushy way before defrosting. Topping puppy's food with beef liver powder, worried about Vitamin A overdose
Hi! I have a 7 month old American Eskimo puppy named Snowball. She's a bit particular with her food, and something I've been doing to encourage her to eat is taking freeze dried beef liver treats, smashing it into a powder, and topping some of it onto her food. She loves it a lot and eats most of her breakfast, lunch, and dinner this way! I also only add enough to lightly coat/dust the kibble. She still eats the non "seasoned" kibble, but it seems like she's a bit disinterested in it too. My concern is that if I do this with every meal she might overdose on vitamin A. I'm considering just topping her dinner with the beef liver powder instead of all 3 of her meals. Any input is appreciated! submitted by /u/ObscuredByCIouds to r/AskVet [link] [comments]

went wednesday afternoon around 3pm, walked right in, spent 2 hours just.. full of joy got the chicken liver mee krob. the presentation more festive than a birthday cake. crispy rice noodles piled high with this rich chicken liver mousse, herbs everywhere, served with warm roti. i've never seen anything like it the stuffed cabbage tom khaa was wild - i'm was born in Eastern Europe so cabbage rolls are familiar territory — but this! turkey and mushroom stuffed, soaking in limey coconut milk with galangal and basil.. felt like home but make it thai 🙃 🇹🇭 coconut sundae to finish - palm sugar whipped cream, candied peanuts, coconut gelato.. the burnt caramel flavor is still with me the whole vibe is unpretentious michelin-level food in a cozy diner setting.. service was top-notch, everyone was chatty at the bar, ended up sharing my dessert with strangers because the energy was just that good walked out feeling sparkly.. that golden glow the restaurant has definitely transferred ✨ submitted by /u/master_and_jaguar to r/FoodNYC [link] [comments]

Is consuming beef liver powder pills for iron harmful?
I've been feeling really unmotivated and I think it might be from lack of iron (or just depression, but I'm screwed if it's that). I brought it up to my mom and she said to take some liver powder capsules we already have. I don't trust her because she also made us drink raw milk a few years ago before I was aware of the risks. She refuses to buy any over-the-counter iron pills and I'm desperate for some kind of solution. Are there more risks than benefits with this? It's farm raised beef, freeze-dried and powdered to be specific. submitted by /u/Training_Hornet_4521 to r/Advice [link] [comments]

Does Ancestral Supplements Grass Fed Beef Liver Review Reveal True Health Benefits?
Nutrient-Packed Liver Supplement Experience A few months ago, I started incorporating the Ancestral Supplements B01MSBZYQW into my daily routine to address my energy levels and overall wellness. Given its grass-fed beef liver formulation, it felt like a step toward a more holistic and nutrient-dense approach to health. These capsules certainly have a strong reputation, and as someone who values natural supplements, they intrigued me. Having used this product routinely, here’s my perspective. A Thoughtfully Designed Capsule The capsules themselves are relatively small, making them easy to swallow, even for someone like me who sometimes struggles with larger pills. The manufacturer clearly prioritized quality—each capsule is filled with freeze-dried beef liver powder sourced from grass-fed cows in New Zealand and Australia. Knowing the origin of the ingredients was appealing because it highlighted the product’s commitment to superior quality. The packaging, a compact and durable bottle, sits neatly on my shelf without taking up much space, and as a bonus, the design has a clean and professional look. Check Ancestral Supplements B01MSBZYQW price on Amazon. Energized and Renewed Taking these capsules daily has made noticeable differences. The claim to promote energy production and metabolic health is something I can attest to. After regularly using this supplement, I’ve experienced an improvement in my energy levels. As someone with an active lifestyle, energy dips mid-afternoon used to be my reality; however, I’ve observed fewer moments of fatigue since introducing the capsules to my diet. These are not magic pills, though. They’re part of an overall balanced diet and healthy choices, and they seem to do their part well. Ingredients That Pack a Punch This liver supplement comes loaded with vitamins and minerals, including highly bioavailable Vitamin A, B12, CoQ10, and Heme Iron, along with Hyaluronic Acid and Choline. I noticed remarkable benefits for my skin, which looked noticeably smoother and more hydrated after a couple of weeks. Immune support is another touted benefit, and while it’s hard to quantitatively measure that, I did manage to fend off a seasonal cold that tore through my office. Whether it was the capsules or dumb luck, who knows—but I’m not complaining. Benefits Capsules are easy to swallow and not overwhelmingly large. Supports a noticeable increase in energy and metabolism. Packed with vitamins like B12 and A, plus essential trace minerals. Freeze-drying helps preserve the integrity of nutrients. Potential Downsides The beefy aftertaste when burping might bother some individuals. A premium product means it’s not the cheapest option out there. For vegans, the product is obviously not an option. Users Who’ll Appreciate This Supplement If you’re someone who values incorporating organ meats into your diet but struggles with taste or preparation, this supplement really shines. It’s perfect for active adults aiming for improved energy regulation, immune health, and metabolic support—everything a modern lifestyle depletes from our diet. On the flip side, those with specific dietary restrictions or sensitivities may find it less suitable. Market Rivals In this space, there’s no shortage of competitors. For example, Perfect Desiccated Liver and Nordic Naturals Omega-3 supplements are both strong contenders, albeit with some differences. While Perfect Desiccated Liver also focuses on providing nutrient-rich liver content, its price point and taste don’t quite match this product’s clean delivery. Omega-3 capsules, on the other hand, cater heavily to heart and brain health but don’t pack the varied nutrients that beef liver capsules boast. What sets this product apart for me are the diverse nutrients and honest sourcing practices. Affordable Quality While I won’t dive into the specific price point, it’s clear this isn’t a budget supplement—it’s a quality-driven one. Between the sourcing from grass-fed cows and the freeze-drying process, you’re paying for a premium experience here. That said, compared to alternatives, its value shines through given the diverse range of nutrients packed into each little capsule. It certainly seemed worth the investment for its sheer potential to tackle energy slumps and skin health in a natural way. Homemade beef liver powder — would you buy this?
Hey everyone, I just made my own beef liver powder at home, and I’m honestly surprised how well it turned out. 100 Grams have about 70g of Protein. It’s just 100% beef liver, no fillers, no capsules, no weird smell. I have been taking 2 teaspoons (10g) every morning That gives me: Way over 100% of my Vitamin A, B12, Copper, B2,.... A good chunk of iron, zinc, CoQ10, and other rare nutrients High-quality protein It stores super well and doesn’t taste bad — I mix it into a smoothie or take it with water. 100g have about 70g of Protein. I’m thinking about offering this as a product — something clean, simple, and effective. Would you use this? Would you prefer it in powder form or capsules? How much would you pay for ~100g / 200g? Any feedback welcome 🙏 Thanks everyone. submitted by /u/Sea_Draw438 to r/NootropicsForum [link] [comments]

Spent 30k+ On Lasers/Skincare - Here are My Hacks and Takeaways
Hi guys! *For title it should be Lasers/Skincare/Beauty Hacks *I have tan skin so lasers are a bit complicated due to risk of hyperpigmentation I.e. IPL not mentioned DISCLAIMER: PLEASE double check this with the science, before/afters, own skin and goals, and research articles. I'm not a dermatologist but a majority of my friend circle are physicians and we all do this anyhow before trying anything. I don't have time to cite articles etc and this is just MY experience SO I thought after spending so much money and buying all the overhyped products I should share what worked for me to reduce my skincare regimen and allow me to be makeup free for work. So I've been deep into skincare for a long time and I wanted to officially share it as a lot of my friends asked me to. We don't gatekeep here and I thought Reddit would be the best place. My background: I'm into digital portraits and it requires an understanding of good ratios of the face. I'm also into deep diving into skincare hacks like all of us. Here's what I think works off the top of my head. Procedures Ultraclear + Coring: forget ponytail facelifts, lip lifts, belphs, skinpinch, brow lifts, etc until you try this first. A good tech can get you the results you want. Ask to core where you want max lift. Make sure they pass with all the levels. It's painful so use your own numbing cream (I think some Russian brands are stronger available online), numb for a long time, and opt for the laughing gas or whatever. Make sure to have them use eye shields for your eyes. Have them core in the direction of the lift you want. Ask for a map of how they did it. You'll want 2-3 over a year to get the full lift you want. Nothing supersedes this procedure. For healing: 10% vinegar soaks + ointment + Benev exosomes + Alastin skin nectar. Hydroquinone to prevent spots from forming. Moxi Level 3: It works REALLY well but it's a baby compared to Ultraclear. Make sure to try level 3 for maximum lift. You can do a series of 3 if you're not ready for Ultraclear. Fontana 4D: It also works REALLY well and can contour your cheeks skin the buccal fat removal. Moxi Level3/Fontana 4D def made me hot again after 20lb weight loss causing signs of aging before my wedding. Again do a series of 3 for max results. Ultraclear did the most though, I would do all 3 until I die or go broke. BBL Laser: It works and makes you look like you have foundation on (and gets rid of under eye darkness) but because of techs fears of hyperpigmentation (a real fear) it's hard to find someone to do it. PRF/EZGEL: My under eyes looked better but also the swelling stretched out the skin so it also looks worse? Not worth it. PRF or PRP is useless, the gel is the only thing worth trying. Laser Hair Removal: Make sure they are using the newest machine that is practically painless, find a center that does a full body membership it's cheaper, you'll need 8-12 sessions. The painless one is worth it just get it done all over at Morpheus: painful and melts fat stay away. I did it 3 times, it got rid of my beautiful under eye fat pads, it slimmed my buccal fat, and it got rid of some acne though. It's not worth it due to pain and fat melting and lack of skin tightness effects it so claims. Katalyst EMS Suit >> Emsculpt: They cost the same and both work but you can keep Katalyst for life. Just use settings on abs/butt and get up to level 400, you can thank me later! I had Emsculpt 5X on butt and AB's, it works temporary, now we own. 2 Katalyst suits and they make sure fit whenever we want and honestly just as fast. Emsella: Amazing for sex drive and preventing or helping with prolapse issues! Also works for urinary issues post kids :). Do 6 sessions for prevention and amazing sex. Coolsculpt: Bullshit. Can burn skin btw. HIFU: Melts fat. But it works:) so use in the right areas. J Plasma: feels like lightening bolts attacking skin and limited outcome, stay away. PDO Threads: Forget it, painful, invasive, temporary. Omnilux Redlight Mask: Get the MENS version. It works. Jovs: it breaks apparently l but I'm gonna try it and update yall later. Also curious about Amiro devices given what they say they do/tech they use. ZIIP Halo + Silver Gel >Nuface: It works better than all the other main home microcurrent devices I've tried (nuface, medicube, 2 others on amazon) get the silver serum as daily easy skincare. Forget the other ones. Things on my list: Sofwave, Emface (per reviews sounds useless?), Syllifirm, Profound, comment and lmk I'll try it if it sounds safe and effective. Injections: Botox: Prevent wrinkles (but tbh this is BS until you have a baby line forming), get rid of wrinkles, shrinks muscle. What I've liked: TMJ/Jaw Slimming (30-50U per side), TRAP TOX (amazing and makes your neck longer), LIP FLIP, NOSE TIP, BROW LIFT (only do the tail of the brow not the whole brow) and PLATYSMA (prevents face sagging and actually works, prob the most underrated and important area for Botox!). Filler: Deep Lasers ("lift" = volume) >> Sculptra (natural body makes volume) >> Slow Down on Fillers >> Injector >> Price/Injectable. Fly to the right person LA, Miami, or New York. Make sure the area they inject, they do often. Treat multiple areas BUT WITH 1/3 THE ACTUAL DOSE you want and go again twice. This prevents the botched look. Dissolve overfilled lips, it hurts, but it's worth it. ALA/Glutathione/Vit C: Shrinks pores and evens out skin tone. Make sure to add ALA for max pore shrinking. It also helps regulate sugar. You can also opt for liposomal. Go to a reputable IV center and make sure to have labs to get ALA. Peels/SkinCare: 30%+ Glycolic Acid On Body - Fast way to clear scars and evens out skin tone. Start low and increase slowly to prevent a burn. TCA Peel - Amazing for anti-aging tbh. But go to a spa and have them do it (face or full body) because it's more serious. Musely Spot Cream - Amazing stuff if you're lazy like me and don't like to do 100 things. Combines all the stuff you want for face skincare. Apostrophe Triple Cream for Rosacea - Top 3 ingredients that work for rosacea in 1 bottle. Also look into low dose naltrexone. Also moxi or ultraclear helps. Benev Exosomes + Microneedling: Use for scars and face/body with a home microneedling pen (max the number of needles Dr Pen is good). Calecium Exosomes + Microneedling: A godsend for hair growth. Retinol Gel .1% + Stack With Hydration: get it prescribed. Level up to max %, look up how to layer with coconut oil/moisturizers/Benev to prevent the ugly phase (breakouts, dry skin). Don't need if have Musely spot cream or alternate days. Clindamycin/Benzyl Peroxide Compound Cream: Get it prescribed and store it fridge now. It's the only thing that reliably clears up my acne overnight (I've tried dozens of acne products over 16 years). Alastin Skin Nectar: My main moisturizer post laser. * Wanted to add for Daily I use Prakti Maha mask because it works like under eye filler almost when you stack it on and gets rid of my acne without extra stuff about 60-70% of the time. I combine with Clarins double serum or snail stuff just depends. Also considering plated exosomes. Ourself Lip Plumping: If you don't want lip filler or just want to maximize lip size try this brand it's from the makers of one of the actual fillers and it works. Minoxidil>Grandelash>Latisse: Latisse darks eyelids /under eyes and lose eye fat so stay away!! It's so hard to get that fat back!! Use castor oil for eyelash durability and oral minoxidil for eyelash growth. Pills: Oral Minoxidil: Max your eyelashes and hair volume Low Dose Accutane: Freeze eggs before doing this. Derm will prescribe for chronic acne especially if on back etc. It will also help reduce size of tip of nose if issues with rosacea or thick skin. Gets rid of acne but horrible side effects even at a low dose. Spirinolactone: NOT FOR ME - will give me headache, dehydration, makes me dumb because I'm so dehydrated, worse breakout for months, also just not worth taking this pill. It may work for others? Eyes: Lumify (duh) Hair: Nanoplastia > Keratin Straightening > KBond20 > Olaplex > Dyson Teeth: SMILE Whitening (in office dental procedure) INSANE will get you white instantly Request for double frequency teeth cleanings Purple Toothpaste = Safe Alternative to Home Teeth Whitening that works better Boka Nanohhydroxy Toothpaste (so you don't loose enamel) Toothbrush with Water Flosser Combined (another lazy girl hack) Therabreath (contains xylitol known to prevent cavities) Mind Hacks: TDCS headband :) works for insomnia, works for mood I'll copy past all my comments into above later I use Elemind headband + Calm Sleep Powder for sleep after having sleep issues - (don't want to take meds, Benadryl is very bad for long term health and linked to increased dementia risk) Multivitamin: Make sure it has 5 methylfolate not "folic" acid. Try pure encapsulations or if you want to eat food-source multi try TEND prenatal bar chocolate flavor. Vit D: Try to get level to 60-90 it's suppose to help with a lot of things including depression!! Alzheimer prevention! Even used by oncologists to decrese cancer risk!! I take 50k unit every week and recheck my level after a month to make sure it's atleast 80. I used to have depression. Astaxanthin: 2000x more potent antioxidant than Vit C. It can give you an orangish glow if you overuse or if you're aiming for that! I used to use Vit c and other antioxidants. Omega 3/DHA (fish derived not algae!): Take it or eat fish it's good for you. DHA 1000mg I've been using for 10 years and it makes me smarter and remember more for exams etc. Silica Drops + Collagen 10G Daily w Hylaronic Acid + 100G Protein Daily > Nutrafol > Biotin/Hair Nail Vitamins: yes the standard female nutrafol works, I prefer Minodixil it's faster and better for me and less big pills lol. 1G Water A Day - Eat good food, drink water. Take collagen, eat protein 100G daily, fat 50G daily. Otherwise this is useless. ADD POTASSIUM (prime powder packets) to SLIM FACE SWELLING. Add gua sha or lymph suction drainage also to help. Sauna/Ice Water on Face also works. Low Fat is a FAD - Hit 50G fat a day - obv is you need to optimize weight lower calories and cut inflammatory food like most non vegetable carbs. You can take a food allergy test also and optimize. For example no tomato skins, no onions for us. Exercise (weights good for bones: BUT for brain benefits it's only with aerobic workouts!): increased bdnf and prevents depression also improved blood flow from skin - look into the research and thank me later - you need to burn 1200cal a week to hit this Dairy Does Cause Breakouts - cut it out and see if there's a change for acne Colustrum: ARMRA works better than others but they all work. It's good for gut health aka good for skin. Seed Probiotic: the best strains here. Rosacea/Autoimmune Skin Stuff: Look into low dose naltrexone and astaxanthin. Autoimmune issues cause the face to look puffy! PCOS/Hunger Cravings: Inositol 6G powder or gummy inositol/myoinositol Vitamin: Tend Prenatal Bar (hate daily pills) Gummy CoQ10 200mg Tru Niagen NAD+ (gives me energy) OM matcha mushroom powder (this flavor specifically has a blend that makes me happy/laughing next day, I use when stressed) Silica Drops (makes my hair shiny, nails stronger within weeks) Zinc Picolinate 30mg (if sick or acne) Fisetin (or Qualia monthly) gets rid of dead cells I just feel good when I take it Vital Protein Collagen/Hylaronic Acid Dessicated Beef Liver or Shilajit (micronutrients) Multivitamin: Pure Encapsulations ONE I don't take pills daily except multivitamin or depending on my aim. But these are what work for me and what I've read that makes sense and I've tried without side effects and some benefit x Inpsitol is a miracle that everyone should know about it'll legit make you less anxious too Deodorant: Chlorella Liquid (removes body odor) > Native > Certaindri. want to try the weekly devices out there that actually stop sweating but weighing risks. Native covers me all day smelling good and I used to sweat through EVERYTHING. Nails: basic - sally hansen hard as nails clear (drop 3-4 magenta drops of any brand in for a natural pink nail look) - silica drops make nails tough af - only do RUSSIAN manicures they are magic thank me later SUN: the sun is your enemy for skincare, it's time to be aware of this all the time! Legally UV tint the max of your front car window (there's a way to uv protect without darkening so it's legal). Always wear long sleeves or a hat. Cover face with hand when walking and unprotected. I use supergoop clear sun stick because I'm lazy and it's a stick and doesn't have white caste. I'm sure there's better ones but this is the best clear stick I found. The powder makeup ones are BS and don't actually protect you. A HAT + Long Sleeves >> Weight Loss: I have a chubby face if my BMI is above 19 genetically. Find the BMI you need for optimizing your face. I drink all my water before eating. I drink black decaf with monk fruit (stevia is not as safe, Splenda is bad news) instead of lattes. I put all my food on a salad instead of rice. I don't eat grain carbs because it makes me bloated. I eat spinach daily because it has highest potassium (reduces face bloating). I try to have have less than 1.5G salt daily. I also make sure there is IODINE in my salt for my thyroid (pink salt is causing iodine deficiencies and thus thyroid issues!). No dairy because it gives me acne (try cashew milk 25 cal). I hit 100G protein via NATURAL NO POWDER sources. Then I sleep by getting my fat intake (50g) and veggies cooked with seasoning I like or whatever I want to eat (kind of a baby Intermittant fast but more lax). If I'm craving sweets I eat frozen fruit and add fake honey (monk fruit sweetened avail sprouts). If you made it this far, the most important thing is to be at a healthy weight, eat right, drink water, no alcohol (I've heard from friends: Passion flower extract "anxiety" > IV NAD (addiction)), no smoking(I've heard from friends: Chantix > Wellbutrin> Nicotine Patch > Tapering Nicotine Vape ), no all nighters (if insomnia look above TDCS headband elemind > Calm Sleep Powder > Sublingual Melatonin). This is all I could think of but I've tried a lot feel free to DM me. I've also deep dived into fertility and dementia stuff for friends/family! If you want reccs DM! You can fact check me but I research this stuff just like we all do so you'll find out or realize this is likely the consensus. submitted by /u/Mindmaster04129 to r/30PlusSkinCare [link] [comments]

Beef liver capsules
Dear seekers: I was born and raised as Hindu but I am trying to incorporate Theravada buddhism into my life. An unrelated by relevant point; I am trying to explore and optimize my health and nutrition. I have recently discovered that beef liver powder in loose or capsule form can provide much needed micronutrients and minerals that we may not get from our daily food and drinks. Would consumption of the beef liver material be against the five precepts ? My thinking is that the modern meat industry is focused on muscle meat and organ meats are often treated as waste products. So the consumption of this food matter does not amount to breaking the five precepts. I look forward to your opinions on this point. submitted by /u/FeelingSalamander442 to r/Buddhism [link] [comments]

Beef liver Powder + UV light sticky trap for Phorid Fly
Hello, I wanted to share some of my results in getting rid of a minor phorid fly infestation that started last week. While I haven’t completely eliminated them yet, I’ve seen significant improvement after clearing out the drains with a combination of boiling water and bleach every other night (I used Drano only on the first night). Here are my results: Manual Spraying - I noticed a bunch around my foyer and kitchen one morning and managed to kill about 60-100 within the first 2 hours. Bug Zapper - This worked well for the first 2 nights (catching around 30 flies in total), but after that, the flies seemed to learn to avoid it. Vinegar Trap - This wasn’t very effective, catching only about 10 flies over 2 nights. Beef Liver Powder/Dish Soap Trap - I’m not entirely sure about the effectiveness since it was difficult to count, but it didn’t seem very successful to me. By this time, I had already killed 80-90% of the flies in the house. Interestingly, the flies seemed very attracted to the beef liver powder, but they actively avoided the food traps. UV Light Trap - I set up 4 of these on the third night. One didn’t catch any flies, and the others combined caught an average of 1-3 flies per night. Beef Liver Powder + UV Light Trap - just sprinkle some powder in the center of the sticky. I just started using this combination and within an hour, I already caught 3 new flies. Tips on Beef Liver Powder; Tip for Beef Liver Powder: You can buy the cheapest dried beef liver at any pet store and grind it into powder form. I’m still trying to clear out the remaining flies, but they seem to be too smart to fall for the traps and tools I’ve used so far. While they don’t bother me during meals anymore, I still occasionally see one or two every day. I’m planning to maintain my house with zero food or water sources for a week, hoping this will starve/dehydrate them to death. Any more suggestions on how to completely eliminate them? submitted by /u/PIG_GIRL to r/pestcontrol [link] [comments]

Beef liver?
I lightly cooked each side of a 0.25lb piece, chopped it up as finely as I could, and mixed it in with 2 pounds of 73/27 ground meat. Even after all of that, I couldn’t stomach more than a few bites…my wife recommended 1/2tsp of onion powder, which kind of fixed it and allowed for a few bites, but onion powder isn’t exactly carnivore. How do you guys, if at all, incorporate this other worldly organ meat in a carnivore way? Im just here for the nutrients! Also would like to ask, does anyone else get full VERY quickly when eating liver? submitted by /u/VoidOfOblivi0n to r/zerocarb [link] [comments]

Beef liver pills
I tried everything I could to add Liver in my diet and I just don’t like it. I purchased beef liver pills but am wondering if I can take out powder out of the pills and drizzle it on top of meals because I dont want to eat the capsules. Would taking it out of the pills make the supplement useless? submitted by /u/Glass_Thought_2909 to r/carnivore [link] [comments]
