TIL that a double-barreled question is when you can only agree or disagree once despite multiple premises, meaning that someone can claim you agreed to a controversial idea just because they paired it with other ideas that are not socially acceptable to disagree with.

Scribbr review: is it worth the money?
Hey y'all, so I'm in my final boss era with my master's thesis and the pressure is real. My uni uses Turnitin, and I'm trying to make sure my paper is squeaky clean before I submit. I keep getting ads for Scribbr, and their whole vibe, proofreading plus a plagiarism checker that they say is powered by Turnitin, is kinda calling to me. But let's be real, the price is giving me pause. I'm on a student budget, and I need to know if it's a good investment or just a glorified Grammarly. I've heard their citation generator is a lifesaver, but I'm more stressed about the big stuff. So, for anyone who's used Scribbr for something major like a thesis, what's the tea? Is it actually legit and accurate? Did it catch stuff that would've gotten you flagged by Turnitin? Low-key need to know if it's worth the coin. submitted by /u/RefrigeratorDue175 to r/productreview [link] [comments]

Got a 0/60 because "Grammarly is a form of AI." How do I even fight this?
I just got my feedback on Canvas and I’m honestly at a loss. I received a 0/60 on a major assignment because the "AI detector" flagged my work. The professor’s feedback (attached) literally says: "Even the use of Grammarly or software's is a form of AI. Copying from another website without paraphrasing correctly is considered another form of AI/plagiarism." I didn’t copy-paste anything, and I only used Grammarly for basic spell-check and punctuation. Since when is using a standard grammar checker considered a violation of academic integrity? If "software" isn’t allowed, are we supposed to write on a typewriter? Has anyone successfully appealed a grade where the professor explicitly bans Grammarly after the fact? I have my Google Docs version history to show my writing process, but I’m worried because they seem convinced that any "software" assistance equals cheating. Any advice on how to handle this with the Dean or department head would be appreciated. submitted by /u/ResourceAdept6933 to r/CheckTurnitin [link] [comments]

Which is the best AI humanizer to bypass Turnitin? Scribbr vs StudyAgent
I’ve been using Scribbr’s humanizer for months. It works, but every time I ran something through it, I still had to jump in and edit big chunks of text so it didn’t sound too formal or squeaky clean (which adds to AI score a bit). Once I started nagging my bestie about it, she told me I should try StudyAgent. So I tested both on the same AI-generated essay to see which one is more reliable for lowering Turnitin’s AI score and better to use day-to-day. Here’s what I can share based on my tests. Feature Comparison Feature StudyAgent Humanizer Scribbr Humanizer Cost Has free mode (up to 500 credits per day) $2.50 per month (has free mode that’s too limited to try on an essay) Output tone Academic but still natural Very formal, editor-like Turnitin AI score Asterisk (passable text) 24% (not bad, but needs manual editing to pass) Ease of use Fast, intuitive, many features in one tab Polished UI, but tab switching needed to access other tools Workflow tools Humanizer + writer + plagiarism & AI checker (and more) Humanizer + writer + plagiarism & AI checker (and more) Scribbr’s Pros & Cons Pros: - ✅ Looks professional and feels reliable - ✅ Outputs are tidy and grammatically correct - ✅ Stable and predictable, I noticed no delays or site errors Cons: - ❌ The free mode is so limited you can’t test an average-length essay - ❌ Requires manual work to get the text passable on Turnitin - ❌ Takes longer to get something that sounds like me StudyAgent’s Pros & Cons Pros: - ✅ The best AI humanizer for free mode I’ve tried so far - ✅ Outputs sound more human and still academically appropriate - ✅ Turnitin scores drop more consistently - ✅ Zero friction: paste → humanize → done - ✅ Everything in one text editor (humanizer, originality checker, AI writer) Cons: - ❌ Less polished UI, subject to improvement in the future - ❌ Free mode has credit limits, but you can still humanize 1 average paper a day StudyAgent ended up being the best free AI humanizer for me because now I pass Turnitin almost effortlessly. Have you tried any of these humanizers? What do you think? submitted by /u/Fun-Eye-4358 to r/StudyAgent [link] [comments]

My HP Victus 15 lags with many research tabs opened (as well as Scribbr)
Title, specifically if I have more than 10 tabs opened. I have 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and it consumes approx 87% of the RAM. I typically only have Spotify on and then another window for synonym checking. It doesn't ever lag on games but does crash when I do some research for uni where I have to open many tabs. Question is, it is time to add another 16GB of RAM? Or would that be an overkill, and there are other alternatives? I have already disabled other background taks with task manager. Clearing popular Misinformations about Gender Stuff (Please do not get mad)
Hello, ıts me again. I did explained my take on Gender Debate. That one was my take. And not really a objective statement, mostly. I saw a lot of missinformations in the comment section from both sides. So ı was like "Yeah, ı need to clear them up". WELCOME TO MY TED TALK I want to make things clear. This review is Apolotical. Nofthing against both side. Just want to clear up the popular misinformations. My launguage sometimes can be a bit rude. Since ı write this multiple times. So ı apologize. If you disagree, just ignore my post or KİNDLY send a comment. I will try to answer it when ı can. Homobhobic or Accusatory bad faith comments will not be answered. I will not tolarate Strawmanning and Ad hominems. And lastly... Remember, Toby Does Not Care Toby Fox doesn't care about these issues. If he's going to make a character trans, he'll make them explicitly trans. Like Dress Lion. If a character is non-binary, he makes it quite clear. Like Monster Kid. He is very open about these kinds of issues. No one is forcing him to not say anything. If he really cared about this issue like fandom, he would make a DİRECT STATEMENT. We would not be here to begin with. I want you guys to know this fact. He is not playing 4D chess here. This has nofthing to do with beign subtle. He just skips these kinds of answers. He went full of Death Of The Author mode. If you still think he is gonna confirm anything via Deltarune, than ı am really sorry. This is the finale nail in the coffin. 4:50:51 https://youtu.be/FS903HbnfWg?si=0ONacTgxNO3FXzXk Toby did not said Frisk and Chara are Self-İnserts I checked his twitter account. I checked other medias. And ı never found at any point where he said this. This one is really a lie. Tweets are Not Canon Toby made it clear that in November 2016. Tweets are not canon. If you think they are canon, due to do lore drops of Flowey and Gaster, than ı am sorry. But ıts called "Non-canon marketting". Where non-canon story gives canon-lore, but the event itself never happend in universe. Transformers DOTM trailer. If you watched DOTM than you know exactly what ı am talking about. https://youtu.be/IUPmNX6CzBw?si=8rByXnDsoxINqjn5 Guide Book is not canon The creator of Guidebook said the book is not canon. https://www.reddit.com/r/Undertale/comments/13a1h5u/the_player_was_not_confirmed_by_legends_of/ What Happens in Deltarune Stays in Deltarune Deltarune is completly independent from Undertale. This inculudes its lore. Many things in Deltarune are not canon to Undertale. (Like Player) Asriel beign at the same age with characters like Catty and Burger Pants does not make any sense. Especially ıf you beleive the story affects Undertale. Since he is canonically hundred/hundreds year older than them. Additions like Suzy to Undertale are just a "Wink" moment for players. Even Toby himself said its just a aesthetic choice. 41:35 https://www.youtube.com/live/rksOYId-cNA?si=iGD4kXGdtr1jvUKc Toby did not correct Anyone He did not correct Kris'es Pronouns https://youtu.be/Ul0wlHgLahU?si=MpOWdY7hY7VduSqB Do not get the wrong idea, Kris is Non-Binary (read my take on gender debate). I am trying to refer This spesific argument. It is actuall Gaslighting. This arguments a red flag. The way people frame this is like both side did not reffered Kris with pronouns until that point. And Toby subtly fixed Father' misgenderisation. Fathers and Toby literally referring Kris as "They/Them" at the start of the SAME CLİP. "They are very Thirsty" Toby is just goofing around. He even said "This is Punishment". As a joke of Kris still staying in the hospital room. Here another example. Fathers reffered Kris as "They/Them" here. Way before the said moment. 43:40 https://www.youtube.com/live/rksOYId-cNA?si=ebVLlpxOCHor0uC6 He did not correct Chara's Pronouns https://youtu.be/T4TTnRW65ww?si=pNCM3L5JIkIebJI9 He just makes a joke about them naming Chara "Togore" instead of Chara. Fathers did not even acknowledge what he said. And contiuned their conversation. This is right after that clip. Here 1:49:50 https://youtu.be/FS903HbnfWg?si=zMmkbv0b-CMvXejp Also Fathers did changed name back to Chara later, ıf you are wondering. Just wanted to mentoined it. 1:57:20 What Toby said is just in general 1:07:25-1:08:04 https://youtu.be/FS903HbnfWg?si=RMMXUa5AiRRUdGv2 Toby says, due to TTS, he mispronounced a lot of things. And Fathers apologize for their own misunderstanding. This is "Toby cares about Pronouns" argument. First, one of the fathers was apolagizing Before Toby said anything about TTS. He just continued his own conversation after Toby finished. 1:06:10 Second, people ignoring the first half completly in order to "See? He cares" point. This is the whole conversation. 1:07:05 If him mispronouncing Napstablook or Papyrus was the main reason, he would make that part clear. Steam Page Exist I want to give Embry from "İts not me, ıts my basement" game as example. A fellow RPG protogonist, whom confirmed to be Non-Binary. https://arcadekitten.itch.io/its-not-me-its-my-basement Some fans did confused their gender identy (Somehow because of Undertale). But the İtch.io page subtly cleared that part by saying Embry is Non-binary. Why Toby did not do the exact same thing ıf he really cared that much? " Welcome to UNDERTALE. In this RPG, you control a human who falls underground into the world of monsters. Now you must find your way out... or stay trapped forever." Toby could just do the exact same thing. He could just say "Non-Binary kid" instead of "Human". "UNDERTALE! The RPG game where you don't have to destroy anyone" This is the currnet one. He does not even trying... They/Them lost all of its meaning Frisk and Chara is in a very diffrent position than Kris, Napstablook and Monster Kid. If you dont know, ambiguity argument is not limited with Frisk's gender. Its also inculudes their skin tone, personality and ethnicty. They are not literally yellow or silent type in universe. And for Chara? Same as Frisk. Entire plot point revolves around us thinking Chara and Frisk are the same person. Game activelly tries its best to make us beleive both are the same person. I get into more detail in my take gender debate, just read Frisk and Chara's sections. submitted by /u/KAYRANINKANALI11000 to r/Undertale [link] [comments]

Didn't Use ChatGPT but ran it through Scribbr and it says 64% chance of of AI
I wrote a story years ago - before chat gpt was even a thing. I used chatgpt to check my punctuation but did not use it for writing. Just out of curiosity I ran it through the free version of Scribbr and it came back 64% chance of using AI - first, does this really matter when trying to publish a book and second, does the change of punctuation (no word changes) suddenly mark it as AI? submitted by /u/Dependent_Click_2054 to r/selfpublishing [link] [comments]

Scribbr Plagiatscan BA

Ich bin für jeden Hinweis dankbar! submitted by /u/Far_Needleworker8372 to r/Studium [link] [comments]

SCRIBBR:THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER: JUST AWFUL!!!!
I am extremely dissatisfied with this company. I paid $479.15 for editing of my completed project with a 24-hour turnaround. The edits I received were completely incorrect and unusable. The work that is unreliable, unprofessional, and ultimately worthless. This service is an absolute disgrace, as is the customer service. To add insult to injury, I was asked to send them a highlighted copy of my 32-page paper, pointing out their mistakes—mistakes I paid nearly $500 to have corrected. Seriously?! This has been a horrible experience from start to finish, and I strongly advise others to avoid this service unless you are looking for low-quality work and endless frustration. Save yourself the time, money, and aggravation—RUN AWAY. Date of experience: July 05, 2025 submitted by /u/Negative-Split8309 to r/academia [link] [comments]

Kwaliteit scriptie controle scribbr.
YSK: Just because the text you are reading has em dashes doesn't mean it is AI
Why YSK: Many good writers use dashes of various lengths to convey information about what you are reading. This meaning may have been lost to you--or perhaps never learned--and so it deserves mentioning again or for the first time, as the case may be. Some applications will autocorrect two dashes to an em dash, such as Word, and other times you may just see hyphens or even just a dash, but the important thing to understand is that just because you see a grammatical character you aren't used to doesn't automatically mean AI is at work. Here are two useful links to check out. The first two are a fast summary of the en and em dashes and the second is an article that further discusses the point I'm making. https://www.scribbr.com/language-rules/dashes/ https://www.merriam-webster.com/grammar/em-dash-en-dash-how-to-use https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-features/chatgpt-hypen-em-dash-ai-writing-1235314945/ submitted by /u/RPMiller2k to r/YouShouldKnow [link] [comments]

Bypass Scribbr AI Detection: Top 10 Ways to Remove AI Detection
Scribbr can catch a lot, but you can still sneak past. Here’s how: Switch Up Common Phrases: Instead of using the same old phrases, try mixing them up. Like, instead of “in conclusion,” say “to wrap it up” or “to finish off.” Don’t Overdo Paragraphs: AI loves tripping over neat, tidy paragraphs. Break them up, make it look like you’re writing casually, like in a rush. Simplify Your Words: Skip the big words. AI struggles with overly complex phrasing. Stick to the basics to sound more human. Use Local or Personal Touches: Drop in something specific to where you’re from, or a personal example. AI won’t pick up on these details. You can also try using tools like AIHumanizer to help make your content fit the tone better. Change Your Transitions: Instead of always using “therefore,” try something less predictable like “so,” “because of that,” or “you know.” Throw in Fragments: People don’t always write in full, perfect sentences. Add a short thought or sentence fragment now and then to break up the flow. Don’t List Everything: Don't overdo the bullet points, AI gets flagged by them too much. Write it out in a more natural, flowing way. Mix Up Your Sentence Starters: If every sentence starts the same way, it’s too obvious. Switch it up: begin with a question, an idea, or an opinion. Be a Little Off: Humans don’t always follow perfect logic. Add a bit of vagueness in grammar, not enough to confuse, but enough to seem less robotic. Use the Right Tools: After writing, tools like BypassGPT, HIX Bypass, Humbot AI, and Rewritify AI can smooth things out and help you slip past detection. With these, your text should sound way more natural and get by Scribbr’s AI detector. submitted by /u/FreakingOblin007 to r/AIWritingHub [link] [comments]

Received a zero because my essay was flagged as AI-Generated.
I am frustrated because I am almost 100% certain that my professor didn't even read my essay. Just ran it through Scribbr's AI-Detector and gave me a zero because it detected that my work was 39-100% AI-Generated. I have sent her my share link for my Google Docs showing all the small changes I made to the document, minute by minute. It also shows the considerable amount of time I spent working on this essay. I am waiting on her response, but I'm uncertain that this will change her decision because she does not allow ANY detection of AI. She even posted an announcement saying that people with AI-Detected work will be "reported to the school office, which could affect our enrollment in our college". I started on my Final Self-Analysis essay, and decided to run my first paragraph through multiple AI-Detectors. Guess what? It is showing my work as 100% AI-Generated again. This is incredibly frustrating and discouraging, as I feel like I have to edit my OWN work to make it not detectable by these AI-Generators. Are professors allowed to do this? Has anyone contacted the school office regarding this matter, and what was the outcome? UPDATE: My professor has regraded my essay according to the rubric. She told me she didn't understand why it was showing up as 100% chance AI-assisted if I did not use AI. My only guess is that it's because that specific paragraph was a summary about a movie. I submitted my final essay, which still showed up to 33% AI-assisted, despite having written everything myself. It was initially higher, so I rephrased some of my sentences to lower it. I thought it was stupid to keep having to rephrase my sentences until it reached 0% AI-detection, so I decided to email her about it to see if it was within the acceptable range. She told me there were essays with 0% AI-detection, so she did not understand why my essay showed any AI-assistance if I did not use them. I don't understand either; however, I can't read their essays to compare their writing style to mine. Regardless, she graded my final essay according to the rubric. I understand there is a prevalence of AI-assisted writing, but I think it's unfair to give students a zero based on AI-Detection alone. They should consider other submitted work or actually read the essay to piece together the information themselves. submitted by /u/Tokkishin to r/CollegeRant [link] [comments]

Das hat mich jetzt echt verunsichert. submitted by /u/GrieferGamer to r/Studium [link] [comments]

Use of AI
I submitted an essay a week ago and when I checked my grades I found out I got a 0 on it. I had absolutely no idea why as I followed the prompt correctly and even looked at the rubric provided. My professor left a comment and said some of my paper was generated by an AI. I have never used AI in my life, I don’t even know how to use it for an essay. I don’t know what to do and I’m upset because I worked hard on it and I got a 0 for something I didn’t even do. submitted by /u/Murky-Bank-9259 to r/college [link] [comments]
