O.P. Probably best way to go. Always got an air fryer to fall back on. From my experience a really old and much used switch can have the toggle switch itself pop right out. lol

Tonight I was cooking fries in the air fryer I came into the Kitchen after hearing my smoke alarm In the kitchen go off and the fryer was smoking. I pulled out the pan only to see flame's coming from the underside. I had to pull my fridge out just to get to the plug to unplug it. Then grabbed it by the handle proceeding to try to get it out of my house through the front door while hot plastic is dripping on my legs and feet. Never knowing there was a recall on this model and millions of others until tonight. I'm glad it happened to me and not my kids cause It would have probably burnt down my kitchen because they wouldn't have been able to pull the fridge out to unplug it. I don't think I can trust the Cosori brand anymore. The Walmart delivery driver brought me the display air fryer .. when I asked how he was even able to do that he claims an associate told him to take this one.. THEN says he cannot leave the rest of my groceries bc he needs to return everything at once. I keep seeing people rave about air fryers and I’m trying to figure out if it’s something I’d actually use or if it’ll just take up space on the counter. I live alone and cook maybe 3-4 times a week. I didn’t expect to be impressed by air fryers, but after using one consistently, I get why people hype them. The first thing that made me obsess was how well they replace the oven for small stuff. You can basically take oven instructions, drop the temperature a bit, shorten the time, and it just works. Second thing: reheating food. Leftover pizza, fries, even random takeout gets a second life. The fires and pizza don't become soggy. Third, store-bought doughs. Croissants, cinnamon rolls, frozen pastries. Toss them in and they bake evenly and surprisingly fast. Fourth, meal prep proteins. Chicken thighs, tofu, even salmon. You get good texture and for batch cooking, it’s surprisingly consistent. I didn’t think I’d use it this much, but it’s become part of my routine. I’ve seen a ton of different air fryers online, from Amazon to Alibaba, but honestly the concept matters more than the brand. Curious how others use theirs for meal prep specifically. Planning to get an air fryer so that I stop being lazy (do not have much energy left to cook after working whole day) and stop ordering food and start making at home. I will be cooking for one person only so small size air fryers would work for me. Would be cooking only vegetarian. Also are air fryers really that useful? As I have heard that they are best either for reheating or good for foods that can be fried in zero or less oil. So I finally did it. I’m 39 and just bought my first air fryer because everyone kept saying “it’s the future of cooking.” Decided to do a little Air fryer vs deep fryer comparison using the same batch of fries and chicken strips. The result? The deep fryer still wins on that crispy grease hug texture, but the air fryer version wasn’t bad at all—lighter, less oil smell, and weirdly more “weekday-friendly.” Thing is… I didn’t expect how fast it’d cook. I am confused, both are good. 5k is in my budget, 8k i will go with EMI, but since its a one time investment give me the best option. I am the only one who will make diet. I finally bit the bullet and bought an air fryer. Genuinely one of the best things I have ever added to the kitchen. I have been so happy with it that I started wondering why I didn’t get one years ago. Then a friend came over yesterday, looked at it, and said it looked like “a manic little face staring at you with crazy eyes and a smug grin.” And now I can’t unsee it. I went for a glass of water a few minutes ago and this thing was just staring at me. I almost didn't take the photo. I’ve got two kids running around all day, so when I picked an air fryer I just went for what made my life easier. First thing is size… don’t go too small, trust me, peaple always regret that. You want one that can fit enough food so you’re not cooking in batches. Second thing is cleaning if the basket is hard to wash, you’re gonna hate it after the second use. I have an air fryer that I use almost every day. It works great but with each washing, the teflon on the inside of the fryer seems to degrade more and more, and I worry that I am ingesting teflon and chemicals from the air fryer. Looking for a recommendation for a high quality air fryer that can be used daily, won’t degrade when washed and ideally will last for at least a couple of years. Quality is more important than price.
