RE:How bad is the current Hyundai/Kia Infotainment system?
Daughter has a new Kona and she uses CarPlay. She's never commented on the info system, but she'd probably just be baffled, in a "it is what it is" kind of way, by the question if I asked her. She has said the Hyundai BlueLink? app stopped working - but I think they updated / changed it and she'd far too busy to log in again.

Why is My Hyundai app and bluelink bad
I opened the app this morning to turn on the heating in my Hi5 and the app had changed, I thought maybe an update during the night, it had a few nice buttons, max cold and max heat which I thought was perfect, as usual while trying to send the heat command I am messages back saying connection issues and eventually they go through, the car hasn't moved since last night and I was getting notifications about the doors being unlocked within minutes of me walking away from the car so it can't be a network problem. When I refreshed in app everything went back to the original screen with 'Set to Highest' and 'Smart Climate', why would it just change. Another today issue, I plugged into a level 2 charger and after a while it must have reached the desired 80% charge and I received a notification saying it was completed, I go into the app and it's still showing 34% and 3hrs20 to complete, if I refresh the page it shows 80% for a split second then changes back to 34%, the range though has changed to what I would expect from 80%. Why is it so hard to for them to have a consistent app or is it just me being picky. submitted by /u/Dazwar to r/Ioniq5 [link] [comments]

Multiple cars in Hyundai bluelink app
Hey friends! Got 2 Ioniq 9s lately. I know it's a 5's club but I figured there's more action on this sub. Does anyone with 2 or more cars tell me how to get a certain vehicle to open first in the app? It's soo annoying having to load the vehicle you're not using, then switching every single time. If not, is there a work around? Should I just split them into two different accounts? Thanks in advance submitted by /u/D1toD2 to r/Ioniq5 [link] [comments]

MyHyundai App Vs Bluelink
Anyone else annoyed by the new MyHyundai app? I was super happy with Bluelink. It opened fast scanned my face and the climate control could be on in super short time. MyHyundai is laggy, takes ages to load and have to press and hold for aaaaages for climate control to start. Climate control is pretty much the only reason I use the app so would love for it not to be a PITA to use 🙂 submitted by /u/kobestarr to r/KonaEV [link] [comments]

Bluewink — an alternative app to myHyundai and Bluelink
After some demand on another thread, I have created a simplified alternative to the somewhat slow and bloated official Hyundai apps. This is a very early alpha release of the app, I have vibe-coded it over the past couple of days and it has had minimal testing, but the basic features do work for me. Big shout out to another redditor u/andyfase who built an iOS scriptable app which I (and Claude) based a lot of this code on. The app requires your Hyundai login details to work, but I do not send or store this data anywhere apart from your own device, which I can't access. It is sent to Hyundai directly for authentication purposes and never seen by me. The app is open-sourced here too https://github.com/JFerretti/egmp-alternate-app. For now this is Android only, as I don't want to pay the $100/y to release it on the apple app store, but if there is more demand and/or people want to support the cost, then I can release the app for iOS also, as it has been built to be cross-platform. iOS users should be able to use the scriptable app as an alternative. I have only tested this app with Hyundai EU accounts, because this is what I have, so please, if anyone wants to test other regions, let me know if it works or if there are any issues. In time I will create some other accounts to test with also, but for now I haven't. There is, unfortunately, quite a complex process to authenticate with EU accounts because Hyundai introduced captcha to their login, which broke a lot of third-party apps. To get this, follow the process in this repo: https://github.com/RustyDust/bluelink_refresh_token. If you don't know how, then I am sure AI can help you. The app is not yet fully released on the play store as it is undergoing review. I can provide access to people to a closed test version, just DM me your email address (the one you use for googe play) and I will add you to the list. Update: Test version on play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bluewink.app. If you can't access then DM me your email submitted by /u/jferldn to r/Ioniq5 [link] [comments]

Why doesn’t Hyundai have walk-away auto lock? I got it working with BlueLink + Apple Shortcuts
It bugs me that Hyundai doesn’t include walk-away auto lock when the tech is clearly there. I used BlueLink + Apple Shortcuts with https://bluelink.andyfase.com (full credit to the creator) and built on top of it to make it work on my Tucson as the one in the link only works for EVs My setup is simple: when my phone disconnects from the car’s Wi-Fi (wireless CarPlay), it triggers an automation to lock the car. (It usually stays connected until I walk about ~10m away) It also gives widgets + Siri controls for lock/unlock/start. Would anyone else be interested in this kind of setup, especially auto-lock for ICE Hyundai models? I’m mainly trying to gauge demand before I build it out properly. I forget to lock my car more often than I’d like, and I’d much rather have it lock automatically every time than rely on a notification from bluelink and worry I caught it too late. submitted by /u/DavidKawaii to r/HyundaiTucson [link] [comments]

Brand new Hyundai Tucson, Bluelink still not working after a month
Hi everyone, Posting this to see if anyone in Winnipeg or Canada has experienced something similar - and to hopefully get Hyundai’s attention. I purchased a brand new 2025 Hyundai Tucson from Winnipeg Hyundai in December. Less than a month later, Bluelink stopped working completely. The app is stuck on “Enrollment Pending”, I can’t log in, and none of the remote features work (remote start, vehicle status, fuel level, etc.). I’ve been dealing with Hyundai Bluelink Support since mid-January. I was repeatedly given different timelines for a fix (24 hours, 3 days, 96 hours, 14 days). None of those were met. The case was supposedly escalated to their technical team, but now they say there is no estimated timeline at all. I also brought the vehicle back to the dealership as instructed. All required ECU software updates were installed, but the issue remains. Bluelink Support now claims this is a backend/server issue affecting Tucson models and that I simply have to wait. The vehicle is basically new, and remote start was an important feature for me - especially in Manitoba winter conditions. Being told to wait indefinitely on a factory feature of a new car doesn’t feel acceptable. Has anyone in Winnipeg or elsewhere in Canada had Bluelink stuck in “Enrollment Pending” on a new Hyundai? How long did it take to fix, and did dealer involvement actually help? Any insight is appreciated submitted by /u/Strict_Secretary6360 to r/Hyundai [link] [comments]

Hyundai Tucson Hybrid (US-spec → Europe): How important is Bluelink in real life? And other questions
Hi everyone, I’m considering a Hyundai Tucson Hybrid 2025/2026 (US-spec, Limited trim) and plan to relocate the vehicle from the US to Europe (Poland). Because of this, I understand that Bluelink services may not work outside the US, so I’d really appreciate some real-world owner feedback. I’m especially curious about Bluelink: 1 How important is Bluelink in daily use for you? 2 Which Bluelink features do you actually use (remote start, vehicle status, location, etc.)? 3 If Bluelink stopped working completely, would the car still feel fully functional in everyday use or is it a big loss? I’m also interested in the built-in navigation, especially in an international context: Does the built-in navigation work offline? Can European maps be installed on a US-spec Tucson or are they available in the navigator out of the box? Has anyone here updated maps or used the built-in navigation outside the US? Another topic I’ve seen mentioned online is Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist: I heard some bad feedback about it, that it can brake really hard and can cause an accident. In my current car I also have it but it brakes slowly and if I want it not to brake harder I simply press the accelerator and it goes and stops braking. Have you experienced the system braking too aggressively in stop-and-go traffic? Does it ever feel abrupt or unexpected, especially for cars behind you? Did adjusting FCA sensitivity (Late/Standard) improve the behavior? And finally, some general ownership questions: Any long-term annoyances or things you wish you knew earlier? How do you update car software? Is it happening via BlueLink or no? Is the Limited trim worth it in your opinion, and which features do you actually use the most? To be honest I am only looking at Limited as I am used to 360 cameras, all the assistants, etc. and want to have it all in the new car. Thanks a lot in advance for any insights. Appreciate any feedback. submitted by /u/bogov7 to r/HyundaiTucson [link] [comments]

Issues with Hyundai Bluelink Climate Start
This is my second winter with my 2024 Hyundai Sonata N-Line, and I haven't had any issues with Bluelink until it started getting colder here. I have the preset to turn on the driver's side seat warmer and turn the cabin air to HI. The first time I used the Winter preset this season, it turned on the heated seats but turned OFF the cabin air. I called Bluelink, and they had me do a reset on the Bluelink. The Climate Start worked correctly once after that and hasn't worked again. I have had a ticket in with Bluelink IT since December 8 and have received no updates or fixes. The last time I called, I spoke with a supervisor who told me to go to the corporate Hyundai website and submit a complaint. He said there was nothing else he could help with. The Climate Start was one of the reasons I bought the car, so I am kind of upset that it is not working. Anybody else have similar issues? submitted by /u/indygeekmom to r/Hyundai [link] [comments]

Home Assistant Integration (Kia Uvo / Hyundai Bluelink)
For anyone that is currently using the Home Assistant Integration (Kia Uvo / Hyundai Bluelink), Kia has made modifications to their API making it impossible for the HA integration to login. They have stated that 3rd Party integration will no longer be able to use the API. Below is the GitHub link where this is being tracked for the integration. https://github.com/Hyundai-Kia-Connect/kia\_uvo/issues/1221#issuecomment-3683276694 Many of us have decided to send a message to customer care with our disapproval. If you are a user of the HA integration I encourage you to do the same. https://customercare.kiausa.com/Message/NewMessage I submitted a complaint to Kia Customer Support, last night. Although I didn't buy the Kia specifically for the Home Assistant integration / API, it was one of the reasons. Subject: Formal Complaint regarding Kia Connect API Access and Feature Limitations To Kia Customer Experience Team, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding the recent restrictions on API access for Kia Connect. As a tech-savvy consumer, I purchased my Kia Sorento specifically for its advertised technological capabilities. While I pay for a Kia Connect subscription, the official app is insufficient for my needs. To compensate, I have used Home Assistant to implement essential safety and convenience features that your app currently lacks, including: Walk-away auto-locking for vehicle security. Customized low-tire pressure alerts and system health notifications via text. Personalized data dashboards for better vehicle monitoring. By blocking third-party API access, you have effectively stripped my vehicle of the "smart" features that led me to choose Kia over competitors. I am requesting that Kia provide an official, documented API for paid subscribers. Until this is addressed, I can no longer recommend Kia to my network and will be looking to other brands for my next vehicle purchase. In closing, If I could, I would trade my Kia in now, but you have me locked into a 4 year lease. A lease I signed in good faith knowing that I could use the API to compensate for the lack of the convenience features I was looking for. Sincerely, submitted by /u/IT-Mommy to r/kia [link] [comments]

Hyundai Europe released a new myHyundai app with Bluelink - unfortunately it's not overwhelming (yet)
New app was relased by Hyundai (other people might have had it before, but I just had the Bluelink app to interact) Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hyundai.oneapp.eu iOS: https://apps.apple.com/ch/app/myhyundai/id6741947307 unfortunately I don't see any improvements over the older Bluelink app: - You can only set 4 commands to be accessible from the remote screen within the app. All other functions need at least one or more clicks to reach - was not the case with the old app - The Android Widget still has only 4 slots for remote commands - 12V battery status still not included (I bought an external monitor coz the 12V just recently died (2.5y old)) - Still no list of all past charging sessions - Still no manual way to trigger battery conditioning - Driving insights, which shows data about your past drives, does not show any new information (except for a few fancier graphs) Definitely room for improvements... submitted by /u/idlestabilizer to r/Ioniq5 [link] [comments]

Received Hyundai's new offer for 50% off an annual Bluelink subscription. Except it isn't.
Received a flyer in the mail today offering "Reconnect to convenience....and get 50% off a one-year subscription with code BLUELINK50." Sounds straight-forward. The normal annual subscription price is $99/year for each of the 3 packages, or $297. 50% off makes it $148.50. Still a bit expensive, but OK, winter is coming, and getting into a nice warm car is a good extravagance. EXCEPT.... Going to the web site, checking the 3 boxes for the annual rate, and going to checkout generates an error message, saying I need to choose the $9.99/month monthly plan (which *I think* can be cancelled at any time and therefore isn't an annual plan). So just for grins, tried that. It totaled $9.99 x 3 =$29.97, and then gave me a $9.99 discount. Having successfully graduated from Mrs. Bailey's 4th grade math class several decades ago, I realized quickly that 9.99 is NOT a 50% discount. Come on, Hyundai. And yes, I did send in an email pointing this out to them from the Hyundai website. Sigh. submitted by /u/LucidLTD_in_ME to r/Ioniq5 [link] [comments]

Hyundai Bluelink Driving Score
I have been driving Creta for few months now. Casually checked the driving score on Bluelink and I am ranked 1 out of 2.9L participants with 100 score. Based on official resources online, the score is calculated on different parameters- Parameters include number of sudden accelerations, sudden decelerations (hard braking), rapid departures, overspeeding, distance travelled (minimum thresholds) etc. I always drive with light foot which might have helped to score better. So does it mean I am the most sane Hyundai driver? submitted by /u/Mental-Explorer212 to r/CarsIndia [link] [comments]

I made a free and open source replacement app for Hyundai Bluelink
https://imgur.com/a/QrhAHBP Hi r/Ioniq5! One of my least favorite parts of being an I5 owner has been dealing with the BlueLink app. It just isn't very good. So, I made my own version that is available now via TestFlight! BetterBlue is an iOS 26-native, completely free app for Hyundai and Kia vehicles. It supports: Viewing range/battery percentage Locking/Unlocking Climate control Stopping and starting charging Multiple vehicles from different brands Widgets Shortcuts iPhone, Mac, iPad, and Apple Watch Note that the app requires iOS 26 and an active BlueLink subscription! Both the app itself and the client are fully open source with zero tracking or advertising. You can check out the source code below (PRs welcome!) Using Siri to Control Hyundai Bluelink – Works for Me! (iOS users only)
I came across a Reddit post showing how to control your car (lock/unlock, start/stop) using Apple Shortcuts and Siri. It does require a small script and a helper app, but once it’s set up, it works really smoothly. The purpose of this post is to provide tips and tools that make car ownership easier, more convenient, and enjoyable for all drivers, helping you save time and get the most out of your vehicle. I tested it on my 2025 Santa Fe Hybrid, and it’s been working perfectly so far. For my setup, I can: Lock/unlock with Siri commands Start/stop the engine remotely Run automations (like starting the car before leaving work with preset HVAC temp) I personally have set up an automation where you can run scripts at a specific time or when you’re at a specific location. I've set up mine where if I'm at work, 10 minutes before I leave, it starts up the car and sets up the HVAC temperature depending on the weather outside your location. Just a heads-up: It only works if you take the time to configure it to your specific car. Mine works on ICE/HYBRID models, but I haven’t tested on EVs. Configuring the heated seats aren’t included in this version. I’m sharing the shortcuts I already configured for my Santa Fe Hybrid. Hopefully this saves someone some time! submitted by /u/Empty-Cake1259 to r/HyundaiSantaFe [link] [comments]

How to Disable Hyundai Bluelink (Telematics)
This is for the Display Audio Gen1 and Gen2V systems (most vehicles from 2016 to 2023). Note: The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage caused by changes not made through official service channels. Step 1: Access the Engineering menu Go to All Menus ---> Setup ---> General ---> SW Info/Update You will see an "Update" button on the bottom. Tap 6 times on the left corner, then 1 time on the right corner (repeat this twice). You will hear a beep and see the Engineering Mode menu. Step 2: Enter the Engineering Mode 8 digit code Note: This code will change every year. Assuming Hyundai won't change anything in future firmwares, the provided codes should work. 2024: 25041045 2025: 24050854 2026: 23060663 Step 3: Access the Variant Coding menu On the left side click on "Variant Coding". It will ask for another code. This code is different from the Engineering Mode code. Step 4: Enter the Variant Coding 8 digit code Note: This code will change every year.
