Cannelis (can + annelid) is primarily based on the idiom “a can of worms" describing a complicated, troublesome situation. Its design draws inspiration from an octopus that uses a tin can to hide. Its can, though looking normal, has a bag-of-holding type of situation where the inside is an infinite space for the “worms" to hide. Candoras (can + Pandora's box) is based on Pandora's box from Greek mythology, now used as a metaphor for a source of endless, unforeseen complications or troubles. To keep the octopus-inspired structure, I based it on the Nameless Thing of Berkeley Square, a shapeless entity often depicted to have tentacles coming out of a door. Each “worm” is now based on a bobbit worm to make it look more dangerous. Bobbit worms also have their head exposed while the rest of their body buried in sand. The can is now the Pandora's box itself with the same bag-of-holding situation. So this species are called “Lunar shifters.” They specialize in their ability to change there tail to be any dragon tail. The photo above I sadly don’t know the artist but if you do please let me know. This is the closest I could find for the body example. Their markings are awsome (in my opinion). * Black or dark blue/purple sclera * Black pupil * Their iris can be any color * Body coloring is always black with another color showing only in sunlight * Each dragon has a unique eye color and some sort of black marking that in the brightest light will always stay pitch black They act very cat/bird like more than reptilian. I feel skins 1/2 and 3/4 are too similar, should I add more saturation on 3&4 or is it ok if they're just one slight step of "darkness" with 1&2? You see, one of my pet peeves with picrews is that from one skin to the next option there's a huge gap, and sometimes it feels the character skin ends up being either a bit lighter or a bit darker that the one you have/were thinking for your oc. ESPECIALLY IN POC/BLACK SKINS. For example, imagine a picrew has options 1 to 9 for light skin / white characters, then you have four dark skin options that are #10, #16, #20 and #22 —see the pictures for reference. (Except if we were realistic the hues would be a range of light to dark gray lol) And obviously there's ton of extra steps skipped from one to another (Ex. 10 & 16). That is why some of the options are just a bits darker/more saturated or colder/warmer, but I wonder if some look too similar that one could mistake as the same if not looked up closely? Especially the light skin ones Also, skin number #16 is an earth yellowish hue I'm not used to use (because most times I usually prefer to draw skins in the reddish/pinkish/blue-ish/purple-ish range rather than in the yellowish/green-ish leaning hues) so I wonder if it is realistic or needs to be a tad bit darker/less saturated or something?? Idk, I want all my skins to look cute and vibrant but this one seems like I simply darkened the base skins for both secondary tones and is one color range, Idk if I explain myself. That adjective to describe the opposite of using different range colors as shadows? It is a WIP and so are the body types, but for now I'm thinking about adding in the first upload only two. First body (the skinniest) is kind of stylized in doll-like shape, in case anyone wonders who tf would be looking like that. The second isn't plush sized, more like a regular semi realistic(?) body leaning to the thick side + daikon legs (the daikon feet stay, I'm NOT drawing realistic groundkissers). I would like to add tiger stripes or top surgery scars in a secondary category too But everything here is still being worked on so maybe I'll change things depending on the feedback and whether I feel trying another artstyle more felt / doll like for or keep this somewhat chibi soft like style, because this one looks good but generic?? As in not what I would recognise as a signature style for me? Attached are 7 drawings i did for ArtFight this year and 1 fanart i did for a my little pony grimdark, although there’s are all older so my quality of art may be different. I have been wanting to draw more recently since this year I’ve only done 1 drawing this month and normally i have at least 3, so i feel like im under practiced, that’s where you guys come in! I theorize if i have someone’s OC to draw then i may have a higher chance of finishing a drawing, since it’s not for me! They will be fully shaded and full body drawings (with varying complexity of backgrounds) but if your OC doesn’t have a full body ref i can make it half body, bust, or just headshot (I’ll work with what I’m given) Any form of OC is allowed, no matter how complex or simple they are, they can originate from any source; like GachaLife/Club, Picrew, Monster Girl Maker, Roblox (Due to the limitations a roblox avatar can have i will have to take some creative liberties if they’re more complex, but i won’t change them as much as i can), commissioned ref, hand drawn ref, ect. These pieces can take anywhere from 2 hours to weeks to finish based on my energy level, but i will try to finish them all! This is my third homemade searchlight. It delivers 100 000 lumens and approximately 20 000 000 cd (20Mcd) As far as I’ve been able to find, the longest-range LED flashlight to date was the “SYNIOSBEAM” by Enderman Engineering, rated at around 10 000 000 cd and about 5 000 lumens. After extensive testing of various LEDs and optics, I found that using many small LEDs paired with TIR lenses offers high efficiency, excellent candelas-per-lumen, and a compact form factor. The spotlight draws 1.2 kW at full output, producing substantial heat that must be dissipated. I ordered a custom heatsink from China featuring four 40 mm-diameter heat columns, which I then extended to reach the required diameter. A temperature sensor mounted on the heatsink drives the fans with a continuously variable speed. As the heatsink heats up, the fans ramp up, stabilizing the temperature at around 55 °C during continuous use in a 15 °C ambient. A separate temperature sensor on the driver board activates a fan at the base of the light whenever necessary. The battery management system (BMS) is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing me to monitor cell voltages and switching the light on or off from my phone. For smooth, stepless brightness control, I used a 22 A, 1500 W DC-DC converter. The LEDs are wired in a 16s3p configuration and draw 20 A at 60 V at maximum output. The main body is 3D-printed in polycarbonate, while the parts in direct contact with the LEDs are printed in carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon (Nylon CF). With a 740 Wh battery pack, the searchlight runs for roughly 30 minutes at full power. Chapter of 17 pages. - Chapter 1,138: “Harley” in japanese, kanjis mean “Sacred Text”). - Ogre Child Yamato's Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage, Vol. 24: “Yamato and the group find Who's Who in the secret base. He is wearing Wanokuni outfit (but with his mask) and is drinking with his subordinates and some geishas.” - Chapter starts where last one ended. Loki is conscious and asks Shamrock if he's somehow related to the pirate “Red Hair Shanks". Loki: "Great pirates and Tenryuubito are totally opposite beings, how come you two have the same face!?" - Shamrock reveals that Shanks is his younger twin brother who grew up apart. Shamrock says Shanks returned to Mary Geoise once, but he preferred to live in this filthy lower world (no Shanks flashback in this part, just dialogue). - Loki remarks how amusing is that he now has grudge with both brothers. He then swears revenge for all his animal friends. Shamrock: "Are you threatened me?" Gunko: "Boss, don't waste your time with the like of him.” Shamrock: "| know. To be stabbed by that is bad!!!" - The 3 Cerberus' heads (with the swords on their mouths) spin in the air and fly towards Loki at full speed. Then the 3 heads pierce Loki's torso together. The mysterious man is walking toward the “Aurust Castle”, he's very close to the main door. - Cut to Franky, he's examining “Treasure Tree Adam” with Ripley. Franky sees a huge mural painting on the tree (we can't see it yet). Ripley: "Il believe those are children's drawings from long ago that have fossilized and became part of the bark. This mural has remarkable historical significance so it's one of this nation's cultural heritages! Itis estimated they were drawn around 800 to 900 years ago. If that is true... then they are from the same period as the “Void Century”...!” Franky: "What==-!!? Then we gotta show Robin this, I'll tell her later...!! But this is strange for an Elbaph drawing... It's an extremely old book that has a “Sun” symbol in the cover (like the symbol we saw in Kuma's church during his flashback). - Saul explains how there are many interpretation of the “Sun God" yet him and his rhythm appear in legends all over the world. “Harley” has 3 chapters and each one represents “one world". The third chapter is said to be the world we currently live in and the end of chapter foretell! what hasn't happened yet. - Robin looks at “Harley" book and says... Robin: "I'll read it now!!" - In the ABSOLUTELY EPIC final double page of the chapter, we see full mural drawing with “Harley" text translated by Robin. It's very difficult to describe the content of the mural because it has lot of details, but I will try. - “Treasure Tree Adam” is in the center of the mural and it divides mural into two parts. Above the tree there is a winged monster/demon that spits fire from its mouth. - In the right side of the mural we can see several things. On one side we see a great city attacked by a massive serpent, and on the other side we see an ark with a king, angels and animals. In this part we can also see a moon and some people making offerings (that look like stars). This last part is similar to paintings that Enel found in the moon. - In the left side of the mural we can see a big battle. Here we can see Nika (or Joy Boy) fighting against a huge winged demon that has the sun in its hands. Nika is fighting alongside giants (one of them with horns), samurai, lunarians, Minks, a mermaid princess accompanied by sea creatures, angels, a robot Similar to Emeth and a lot of ships with humans (one of them seems to be from Arabasta). - And this is what “Harley” sacred texts say... [The First World] On Earth, there is flame. Mankind, overtaken by desire, touched upon the forbidden Sun. The Enslaved prayed. “The Sun God" appeared. The deity of Earth is enraged. Every time I find a book or tutorial talking about how to draw humans/humanoids they always say to break the body down into simple shapes, but then break the body down like this. I can never get the shape or proportions for either right and they always feel awkward to draw and just look awkward overall, but the way I draw humans right now doesn't look much better.
