[Hiring] Re-draw based on animation still-frames, approx. 100$ (details in body)
EDIT: Thank you all for submitting your portfolios. I checked them all thoroughly and already contacted the artist that I picked to fulfill this request. Wishing everyone good luck on their artistic journeys! ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Hello Artists, I have a slightly uncommon request. Recently I picked up an animated series and I really liked some scenes. While I already enjoy them in their original form, the lineart is great, they're clean and well made, but they're still fairly simply drawn with 2 tone shades. My hope was to hire someone to "enhance" some of those still-frames mainly through applying more complex rendering and possibly some minor re-draws or frame extensions. The commission would probably also include stitching several frames into a complete picture (don't worry, they're fairly coherent and fit well together, and also only stack directly vertically - camera pans, but the scene is more or less stationary). What I'd be looking for in particular: -Good with semi-realistic (or stylized but advanced) lighting, -Good with coloring and rendering, -Good with vibrant and saturated color schemes, -Firm grasp of realistic anatomy would probably be beneficial. Image contents: -Full body character w/ sword, -Possibly additional background (the OG still-frames have it, but some tweaks or vfx could be nice). Source material: -Masters of the Universe: Revelation (2021), -Character is Evil-Lyn. Some additional notes: I am aware that such request could be easily qualified as tracing or tracing-adjacent. I asked the MODs for permission to post this request, so it's fine to accept it BUT it probably wouldn't be advised to share the results publically, depending on Your work ethic and public image - I thought it might be important to bring up. Secondly, the budget mentioned in the title is 100$, but that's only a rough estimate since I don't really know how much additional work is necessary when using an existing, complete image as a baseline - is it the same amount of work, or is it like already starting from simple-shading piece? Since I'm a layman in this matter, I would appreciate honesty and Your proffesional opinion on this as well. 100$ (no less!) is the go-to price I'm willing to pay for this, and a price assuming the ready still-frames shorten the workflow. All that said, if your rates are usually higher but you think you could take on this commission, please let yourself be known as well - I'm willing to explore some options! I expect some details to be ironed out during initial communication, so please bear in mind that there is possibly some wiggle room when it comes to pricing and scope of the project. To wrap things up, thank You all for reading and if you are willing to take this on, please leave your contacts and portfolio in the comments - I'll be sure to check each and every one out! submitted by /u/SalaciousHandholder to r/artcommissions [link] [comments]

"Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" Fakemon Line for my Western-Inspired Fakemon Region
The Instagram artist that I commissioned is pokedan_art. This fakemon line is based on Wolves, Sheep Dogs, the phrase "A wolf in sheep's clothing", and Werewolves! As you can see, they are also inspired by the Wooloo line. ^^ Important: They are NOT a convergent species of the Wooloo evolution line!!! They are a completely separate species that disguise themselves as Wooloo and Dubwool to blend into their herds, only to drag one away in the dead of night and feed on it. I'm really happy with how this line turned out! I'd love to hear what you guys think, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fooloo - The False Sheep Pokémon: (Dark Type) Etymology: ("Fooled You" + Wool + Wooloo) Fooloo disguise themselves in thick fleece to pass as Wooloo, quietly joining herds on farms and open pastures. Farmers detest this Pokémon, as it preys on Wooloo and Dubwool under the cover of night. If one or more Pokémon vanish from a pasture by morning, they suspect that a Fooloo is hiding among the herd. Careful observers can identify them by their forward-facing eyes and sharp claws. Ability: Infiltrator --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dubawoo - The False Fleece Pokémon: (Dark Type) Etymology: (Dubwool + Awooooooo [Howling noise that a wolf makes]) Fleece Form [Quadrupedal] Dubawoo hides its lean body beneath a thick layer of wool. It blends in with herds of Dubwool, moving slowly through pastures to avoid drawing attention to itself. During the daytime, it pretends to graze while watching for isolated prey. Once night falls, it drags its target away from the rest of the herd to feed. Ranchers become suspicious when one of their “Dubwool” keeps its head too low to the ground and never seems to chew. Hunt Form [Bipedal] When its disguise is ruined, Dubawoo rises onto its hind legs, revealing the predator hidden beneath the fleece. The shredded wool clinging to its body forms a ragged hood and cloak. In this form, Dubawoo becomes much stronger and faster, allowing it to chase down prey with sudden bursts of speed. After preying on Dubwool, it uses leftover wool and horns to repair its disguise before slipping back into the herd unnoticed. Signature Ability: Sheep's Clothing: When this Pokémon’s HP drops to half or less, it changes into Hunt Form, swapping its Defense and Special Defense with its Attack and Speed stats. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am still working on the stats for these Pokemon, but the main idea for Dubawoo is: Fleece Form: High Defense and Special Defense Lower Attack and Speed Hunt Form: High Attack and Speed Lower Defense and Special Defense submitted by /u/N-R3TR0 to r/fakemon [link] [comments]

I kinda hate genderbent art like this that takes fat chuds to turn them into attractive women. idk it just makes me cringe, why not maintain their ugliness?
(ignore the edit in the second slide i couldn't find the original artwork) (Also yes i know this is irrational and people can draw whatever they want, however they want. But this is just a personal pet peeve and nothing against people's art and how their art is drawn. Don't take this as me trying to tell you to immediately stop drawing ugly dudes as Megan fox, it's just my opinion.) What's the point of presenting a genderbent chudjak more attractive than she should be? Like don't get me wrong i have nothing against attractive characters but this is genderbent art of a CHUD, so erasing the goofiness in the character's physical appearance completely defeats the point of chudjak and what chudjak is based on (like chudjak is a soyjak, soyjaks are basically equivalent to caricatures and are usually made with the intention of making fun of something or someone. SOYJAKS ARE MEANT TO BE UGLY), I don't like how genderbent chudjak is just a skinny woman with sweaty boobies, it just feels like unattractiveness was actively avoided in the process of drawing. It's kinda like just a woman with slight resemblance of chudjak on her face but the actual chud-ness is never properly and fully captured. As for the doorbell chud, WHERE IS HER ROUNDNESS? WHERE IS HER BODY FAT? The resemblance is in the eyebrows, but again it's just a skinny woman. And the chud-ness in the physical appearance is barely visible compared to the original, this is chud erasure. We just don't have accurate chudina representation in art in general. Like in "girlfailure" art, they're just attractive women yet somehow their lack of hygiene (which is a focus in the "girlfailure" art) manages to NEVER affect their attractiveness, like you'd imagine a girl with 50 monster cans on the floor would have rotting or bad teeth or something similar right? WRONG! It's a girl with an hourglass waist and STRAIGHT pearly whites. I think the same phenomenon in "girlfailure" art also manifests in genderbent art such as genderbent doorbell chud. submitted by /u/XxMyFatherBeatsMexX to r/hatethissmug [link] [comments]

There exists plenty of space between "everything is immortal" and "shooting kills everything"
I understand the developers' intentions and I do not oppose their ideas, but their way of implementation is extremely lazy and clumsy. There are plenty of ways to restrict players from wanton killing while preserving immersion. For instance, in Assassin's Creed, developers discourage players from becoming ruthless killers by adding the mechanic that killing too many civilians leads to desynchronization, which works both in gameplay and storyline to curb excessive killing and make perfect sense narratively. I oppose this design not because I love using guns to shoot creatures. Making all creatures immortal ruins immersion. Anyone who has played Subnautica 1 must remember accidentally ramming into fish and killing them while piloting submarines. Such details enhance the sense of presence and make the game world feel authentic and believable. Yet it is logically unreasonable for tiny soft-bodied creatures to be as indestructible as leviathans, constantly reminding players that this is merely a game. Besides, this design breaks game balance. Medium-sized creatures in Subnautica2 no longer pose any threat to me. Since they cannot be killed, developers have lowered their attack damage. Even surrounded by multiple predators, I can handle them effortlessly. They are nothing more than nuisances without any sense of menace. Some supporters are fond of using slippery slope arguments, claiming that anyone who dislikes this design is merely eager to disrupt the ecological balance, while they themselves are noble people who uphold environmental protection and animal conservation even within video games. Well, I have to say the world is never binary. I have come up with better design solutions. 1. There is no need to add firearms into the game, but the original survival knife from Subnautica1 should make a return. 2. Leviathans can remain immortal. Being able to slay such colossal beasts simply by slashing their skin with a knife as in the SUB1 also severely breaks immersion. 3. Assign health points to medium-sized predators, yet forbid players from killing them directly. They can only be taken down by collisions from large vehicles, and this rule can even be removed so they can be more threatening. It is utterly unrealistic to kill medium-sized creatures with a small knife, just as it is impossible to kill a great white shark with a six-centimeter dagger in reality. Players can slash them with knives to drive them away, yet such acts will enrage these beasts and make them far more aggressive. Meanwhile, bleeding wounds will draw other equivalent or stronger creatures, allowing players to escape amid the chaos. 4. I can find no valid reason or storyline justification to make small creatures immortal. If players are even allowed to cook and eat them, their immortality becomes completely meaningless. Small creatures should remain killable just like in Subnautica 1. To restrain mindless slaughter, stabbing them with a knife will leave blood trails that lure medium and large predators. For personal safety, players will prefer picking them up and storing them in inventory as they do now. 5. Certain creatures can release persistent pheromones after death, similar to cuttlefish secretion, which are hard to get rid of once attached to the player. This makes killing creatures far riskier by drawing more predators. So my whole idea is based on this: if you kill too much, too many things will kill you. adopting my proposals does not require developers to design complex individual AI for every sea creature. They only need to spawn hostile creatures nearby once specific player behaviors are detected, which is the same method they use to set invisible barriers in sub2. Most importantly, these rules effectively curb random killing, raise overall tension by boosting the damage dealt by large creatures, and enrich interactive links between player actions and the in-game ecosystem. I believe these ideas are practical and easy to put into practice. What is your opinion? submitted by /u/leng-tian-chi to r/subnautica [link] [comments]

Drawing based on "Where does your body begin"
It was in one of those journeys in which it started. In which it crippled out, like a worm on my body reaching into my ear to fuck my own mind. Hi everyone, I recently built a free, web-based tool called Statics Sketcher for quick drawing of structural engineering free body diagrams and exporting them as SVGs or high-res PNGs for engineering reports and homework. I tried to make it as fast and intuitive as possible for everyday use. I’d love for you guys to try it out and let me know what you think or if there are any specific features you'd like to see added! (Link in the first comment below!) Cannelis and Candoras, a can of worms evolving into Pandoras box
Cannelis (can + annelid) is primarily based on the idiom “a can of worms" describing a complicated, troublesome situation. Its design draws inspiration from an octopus that uses a tin can to hide. Its can, though looking normal, has a bag-of-holding type of situation where the inside is an infinite space for the “worms" to hide. Candoras (can + Pandora's box) is based on Pandora's box from Greek mythology, now used as a metaphor for a source of endless, unforeseen complications or troubles. To keep the octopus-inspired structure, I based it on the Nameless Thing of Berkeley Square, a shapeless entity often depicted to have tentacles coming out of a door. Each “worm” is now based on a bobbit worm to make it look more dangerous. Bobbit worms also have their head exposed while the rest of their body buried in sand. The can is now the Pandora's box itself with the same bag-of-holding situation. They're part ghost type because of the Pandora's box inspiration, plus their ability to vanish inside the can or box when trying to hide. submitted by /u/Cannibal_Rj to r/fakemon [link] [comments]

French Rugby President Florian Grill: "[New rules] could lead to more uniform player profiles, similar to those of other related sports, but which are not ours. Rugby union is based on the diversity of body types and roles, and above all on player safety."
The Shape of the Game 2026, an international forum to shape the future of rugby, begins this Tuesday in London. Before arriving in England, France reiterated its commitment to making its voice heard and preventing the game from becoming standardised. Intense discussions are expected this week in London at this highly anticipated Shape of the Game. Indeed, World Rugby's Australian chairman, Brett Robinson, accompanied by New Zealander Mark Robinson, who is about to assume his new role as director of rugby alongside him, has been preparing for this event for several weeks, outlining some of the ideas he wants to explore to rapidly evolve rugby. These messages have been clearly understood by Florian Grill, president of the French Rugby Federation, and Yann Roubert, president of the LNR (National Rugby League), who are more united than ever in presenting a united front against proposals emanating primarily from Australia and New Zealand. “This year, several rule changes are being considered, and some of them worry us,” explains Florian Grill. “We have received numerous preliminary documents, and we feel it is essential to organise, because these proposals could profoundly transform our sport. They emphasize increased standardisation of the game. This could lead to more uniform player profiles, similar to those of other related sports, but which are not ours. Rugby union is based on the diversity of body types and roles, and above all, on player safety. We fear that these reforms will no longer prioritise this safety.” The new rules implemented for Super Rugby, which has just begun, with its desire to further reduce the number of set pieces like the scrum in favor of free kicks, are clear signs of the philosophy currently being advocated by the Australians and New Zealanders. "We don't want to have a model imposed on us that works less well than ours. It must be said, there are real difficulties in Australian rugby, while we have a model that is currently thriving. We have shared it with other nations. The rugby economy relies 80% on France and England. The highest attendances are in France. We believe that the results achieved with the French national teams are the fruit of the work carried out with the LNR. The work with the clubs is now very intertwined. In this spirit of conquest and positive influence in service of rugby, we want to make it clear that our model works. The goal for other nations should be to draw inspiration from it, rather than trying to change the rules in a direction that doesn't seem right to us." France claims to have the support of the Six Nations members, as well as South Africa, to try and open up a new avenue of discussion without distorting the game as we know it, based on the World Rugby Charter, as Florian Grill emphasises: "It's one of the foundations of rugby union. The World Rugby Charter clearly states: this sport makes room for all types of players. That's what makes it so rich. In a team, there are tall players, strong players, fast players, slower players, and strategists. This diversity also reflects that of amateur rugby, to which I am very attached. It's a sport of inclusion, not standardisation." For their part, World Rugby reiterates that it is necessary to conquer new territories to continue to develop around the world, which is not currently possible with the current rules according to the Australians and the New Zealanders. "The idea is also to counter the argument that, to conquer new territories, we should focus on continuity," explains FFR Vice-President Jean-Marc Lhermet. "For us, that's not the case. Conquering new territories means first and foremost reaching out to as many young potential rugby players as possible—tall, strong, and fast. It's not about imitating other sports. We have a unique identity, a DNA, and it's by preserving it that we will conquer new territories. In this conquest, we also have the tool of rugby sevens, which is now very well-suited to developing the game around the oval ball in these new territories. Mark Robinson is a New Zealander, but it must be acknowledged that he is a true professional. He knows rugby very well. In our recent meetings, we've seen that he's a good listener. Admittedly, he remains more focused on the Southern Hemisphere, but we are increasingly able to engage in dialogue with them. The idea is to convince them rather than fight or exclude them. We will always put collective intelligence at the service of discussion and progress. We are convinced that, paradoxically, respecting the history and charter of rugby over the past 200 years is sometimes the greatest form of modernity. Knowing how to remain calm, serene, and true to one's DNA is sometimes more powerful than wanting to change everything at every moment. submitted by /u/lAllioli to r/rugbyunion [link] [comments]

HALLOWEN SOON! So I'm going to draw 2-4 peoples OC in YOUR PREFERED Halloween costumes! (Read body pls)
Chose a costume that you think will go with your OC and as a standard there is general rules: going to do 2-4 Oc's will send results today or tomorrow (maybe even later) I need at least half of body reference (full body preferable) also, I need a short description of your OC's personality or details that you want to be focused (Don't write entire book please - 1- 2 sentences are enough) Humanoids, Funky robots (also humanoid form), monster girls, monster boys, maybe aliens, Buff mans and woman's, snake girls. Gore is okay (but i have problems with anatomy so it may be drawn wrong) No furry, Anthro or animals, creatures and etc. (can't draw them) No politics or military OC's based of IRL conflicts (fantasy ones is okay) If read the rules type HH(Happy Halloween!) in beginning of your comment submitted by /u/Ok-Argument6097 to r/OriginalCharacter [link] [comments]

You want me to draw your oc so badly (read body text)
Attached are 7 drawings i did for ArtFight this year and 1 fanart i did for a my little pony grimdark, although there’s are all older so my quality of art may be different. I have been wanting to draw more recently since this year I’ve only done 1 drawing this month and normally i have at least 3, so i feel like im under practiced, that’s where you guys come in! I theorize if i have someone’s OC to draw then i may have a higher chance of finishing a drawing, since it’s not for me! They will be fully shaded and full body drawings (with varying complexity of backgrounds) but if your OC doesn’t have a full body ref i can make it half body, bust, or just headshot (I’ll work with what I’m given) Any form of OC is allowed, no matter how complex or simple they are, they can originate from any source; like GachaLife/Club, Picrew, Monster Girl Maker, Roblox (Due to the limitations a roblox avatar can have i will have to take some creative liberties if they’re more complex, but i won’t change them as much as i can), commissioned ref, hand drawn ref, ect. These pieces can take anywhere from 2 hours to weeks to finish based on my energy level, but i will try to finish them all! They will also be free to use with credit, the only socials i don’t have that i know host OCs are Furafinity, Deviantart, and Newgrounds. If you’re unsure if i have a social media, ask! I’ll answer! All my socials are under the same username as this reddit account! I will ask, please comment the character’s ref (any ref works) and a song you connect to them. All my art is based around music so that would make it much easier, but if you can’t think of a song i have over 7000 i listen to so i’ll find something, it just may take longer. Basically, TLDR; I wanna draw your oc of any kind with any source image in the style as attached photos, please comment a photo of the character and a song connected to them. submitted by /u/Phobom3ral to r/DrawMyOc [link] [comments]

Drawing your avatars to get myself out of art block (READ BODY)
Drawing your avatars to get myself out of art block and to force myself to draw consistently, along with trying to improve my skill. I will draw at least four and ten at most. This will take a little while. I will pick which avatar based on whether or not I think I can draw it decently. You can choose if you want it to be drawn accurately (Ex. Blocky avatar gets drawn blocky) or drawn normally. If you have a reference for how you want your avatar to be drawn, please post it! I don't mind! I actually want you to! But if you can't, that's okay! I have to warn y'all that I have slight difficulty drawing hair, so beware. Comment with an 🦐 emoji if you actually read the body text and want to be acknowledged. submitted by /u/shrimpshr1mp to r/RobloxAvatars [link] [comments]

World's longest range LED flashlight
This is my third homemade searchlight. It delivers 100 000 lumens and approximately 20 000 000 cd (20Mcd) As far as I’ve been able to find, the longest-range LED flashlight to date was the “SYNIOSBEAM” by Enderman Engineering, rated at around 10 000 000 cd and about 5 000 lumens. After extensive testing of various LEDs and optics, I found that using many small LEDs paired with TIR lenses offers high efficiency, excellent candelas-per-lumen, and a compact form factor. The spotlight draws 1.2 kW at full output, producing substantial heat that must be dissipated. I ordered a custom heatsink from China featuring four 40 mm-diameter heat columns, which I then extended to reach the required diameter. A temperature sensor mounted on the heatsink drives the fans with a continuously variable speed. As the heatsink heats up, the fans ramp up, stabilizing the temperature at around 55 °C during continuous use in a 15 °C ambient. A separate temperature sensor on the driver board activates a fan at the base of the light whenever necessary. The battery management system (BMS) is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing me to monitor cell voltages and switching the light on or off from my phone. For smooth, stepless brightness control, I used a 22 A, 1500 W DC-DC converter. The LEDs are wired in a 16s3p configuration and draw 20 A at 60 V at maximum output. The main body is 3D-printed in polycarbonate, while the parts in direct contact with the LEDs are printed in carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon (Nylon CF). With a 740 Wh battery pack, the searchlight runs for roughly 30 minutes at full power. Technical specifications: LEDs: 48 × Osram KW CULPM1.TG Battery cells: 40 × BAK 50E (20s2p) Optics: 47 × 38 mm TIR lenses + 1 × 70 mm parabolic reflector Cooling fans: 4 × 12 V, 0.4 A (92 × 92 mm) + 1 × 12 V, 0.2 A (120 × 120 mm) BMS: 100 A balance BMS with Bluetooth Driver: ZK-10022C Total cost: approximately 2 000 USD submitted by /u/ApprehensiveHawk6178 to r/flashlight [link] [comments]

Asked an artist for a tattoo based on this idea, what should I write instead?
I fell in love with this idea of a tarot card tattoo of the Sims and asked an artist to draw me a whole new one based on this idea as a reference. I feel like having "the creator" tattood on my body isn't really me and I'm trying to think of another variation of it. By now I have: The designer Ace of plumbobs The plumbob Or any of the above in simlish font. I want something that feels more like an inside joke of the community. Do you have any ideas? submitted by /u/witchy_teaparty to r/thesims [link] [comments]

Male Fubuki. I drew male Fubuki by drawing over the original. All the parts needed to be redrawn and I referenced Garou’s body and Genos face/ Fubuki’s face. The hair is also based off Levi’s Hair. This was fun to do.
