If you know the brand, call the mfr. I've called Delta a number of times for my kitchen faucet to get new aerators and recently a new handle. Many carry a lifetime warranty.

Just replaced my 60 year old Delta kitchen faucet. worked well (rebuilt several times) but I didn’t trust that separate skanky plastic spray nozzle. Made sure I didn’t get a faucet with a side handle. I live in an old building in NYC, and I recently installed this lovely Delta Greydon Pulldown Kitchen Faucet. The only issue is that our old pipes seem to be shedding sediment which is clogging the small screen filter that sits inside the head of the faucet. This screen filter needs to be cleaned on a weekly basis to maintain full pressure, which is annoying but I can live with it. But this little part is so small and flimsy, I’m worried I’ll lose it or it will break. Is there any way to remove the Delta Linden from the top? This might not be the best place for this post but I'm trying to get some feedback before I start to dismantle and potentially break things lol. I have a Delta kitchen faucet about 10+years old and the faucet head needs changing. I called the company and they sent me a free replacement. I expected the replacement to be just a head i could screw in but they sent a head attached to the pull cord. I thought once I received the screw in head that I could figure out how/where to unscrew the old one from. But again, they sent the full cord. I'd prefer keeping the silver cord I have now instead of replacing it with the black cord attached to the replacement head. By looking at these pics, can anyone tell me if this head is able to be screwed off and at which point? Or if do I actually need to replace the entire cord. It's been ages since I saw a video of the thing. It's an attachment that would go to the end of the faucet, and did 2 things: 1) focus most of the flow into a narrow stream that, due to pure pressure, would be good for cleaning dishes, peeling off material that would require a scrubbing otherwise, and 2) because the water (and bits) would splash everywhere, it would direct the rest of the flow around the spray, in like a 'laminar flow umbrella", so anything that would splash off of the spray would be washed back down by that, so it served as a splash guard. I basically just had the design pictures and thought I’d be back here much sooner… My goal with this post is to give back to a community that has helped me so much throughout the design and renovation process. And to help you avoid mistakes I made along the way. Before: The original 1995 Toll Brothers kitchen complete with a desk, cheap and dilapidated pickled pink cabinets that were falling off the walls, corian countertops (which honestly were still in perfect shape), a very slippery and shiny tile floor (also in excellent shape for its age), and a dangerous gas range on the island 1” from the edge with no vent to the outside. 😬 After & Details: Renovation: 0/10. It was supposed to take 4-6 weeks. It took 1.5 YEARS (Dec 2024) from when we signed the contract and 7.5 months (Oct 2025) from breaking ground. It turns out we hired conmen for contractors whose idea of communication and project management was nonexistent… Who haven’t shown their face more than a handful of times, ditching their crew with me, who is NOT a kitchen expert, to problem solve on the fly without any safety net. The beverage station (tall wooden furniture-looking piece) may never be finished at this rate because one of the head honchos is the only one who can install pocket doors. There was no movement at all for months until we threatened legal action. They stopped working the day I went into labor at the hospital because we weren’t there to stay on top of them. They made the crew do dangerous things like move our refrigerator with straps, and hoist that gargantuan garden window to install it on one of the coldest days of the year. On top of the stress of the noise and dust, I was heavily pregnant and went into labor 1 month in. 😣 It was a nightmare and added to my traumatic early postpartum experience. Please learn from our mistake: if you choose this kind of shit company, with no designer on staff and no accountability, you’re screwed! We had no leverage. They get 50% of the money up front and got all of it 5 months before finishing the jobs. We do enjoy it now, due to my hard work and choices, and try not to associate my and the crew’s hard work with the owner’s despicable treatment of us. Thank goodness they finally hired a designer to work with me - she is a fairy godmother who stayed true to my wishes for the design, and is someone I’d recommend to anyone! They wouldn’t pay her so it came out of my pocket and I’d happily do it again. Her software was outstanding for visualizing every detail. By the way, the dust? It all comes from the electricians cutting into the drywall to install wafer lights. They were the only crew that didn’t keep our plastic drapes up while they did their work and we learned the hard way just how disruptive dust can be when it settles onto every surface in the entire downstairs. Unfortunately it was avoidable and they just didn’t care enough to help us out and secure some tape. Dog station: 10/10 The dog bowl filler was hard to figure out but we finally went with the following setup that is just far enough out that it doesn’t spill or splash yet won’t poke the dog in the face (she’s tall). The handle is on the other side of the island due to their mis-measuring lol it’s quirky but it works fine. I specifically got the filler and handle separate because I didn’t want the dog or baby having access to the tap and accidentally flooding the kitchen. Index Bath - Folding Spout Faucet in brushed gold. https://indexbath.com/products/folding-spout-basin-faucet-wall-mounted-bathroom-tap-concealed-faucet • Upper Cabinets & Pantries: 8/10 J&K B5 in color Pure (white) - they kinda scratch easily, but they were so inexpensive and they are painted and can be touched up so it doesn’t matter. Soft close works beautifully and they were able to do a custom size hood (NOTE: a 36” hood will not fit a 36” insert!). The tall pantries are cabinets on top, all pull outs on bottom. Basically tripled the amount of storage we used to have. • Lower Cabinets, Island, & Beverage station: 10/10 Cabinet Joint/Conestoga Cabinets, Cherry, Saddle Stain, RutlandMT reverse G-cove/beveled shaker door style Only went with drawers on the bottom except for the kitchen sink cabinet, a couple by the ovens, and on the far side of the island. Obsessed with how easy drawers are compared to cabinets. Cabinet Joint was a Reddit find!! Thanks, everyone! They were a delight to work with from start to finish and we are in love with the cabinets. The cabinets feel substantial and we had zero issues with any missing or damaged pieces, felt like a miracle compared to the debacle that was the renovation process. • Quartzite: 11/10 Onur Marble & Granite, “Calacatta Boheme.” Natural stone will always be worth it for me - I am stunned by its beauty every day. In order to have enough slabs for the project we opted for honed backsplash and dog station, and polished countertops. The honed is reminiscent of marble, and I love cleaning the polished countertops, personal preference. They go great together!! Has movement, depth, and crystallization that we love!! We applied Bulletproof sealer from StoneTech once so far and will be reapplying annually. We also baby it just in case, using trivets and being sure not to leave oil or water rings. • Garden Window: 100/10 Ventana. Not having a screen on the largest pane facing my backyard makes birdwatching and enjoying my garden so easy, a dream come true. 🤩 Plus it fits my husband’s orchid collection, and lets a ton of natural light into the kitchen where it was pretty dark before. • Sink: 11/10 Kohler Whitehaven 36” cast iron farmhouse sink, bought for a steal brand new/open box from Facebook Marketplace. The single bowl size, the offset drain, and the sloped profile with custom grates on bottom is a delight. I’m seriously lucky that I get to be the one to do the dishes. • Floor Tile: 9.5/10 Edward Martin matte porcelain 24x24 in Amani Bronze & Calacatta. I am a fan of tile in kitchens, especially because it doesn’t compete with the wood lower cabinets. Besides how it looks, we get compliments about how soft it feels to walk on and the dog no longer slips on it. Docked 0.5 points because we have a lived-in home, and the white ones show dust and paw prints. • Grout (thin lines): 10/10 Mapei Sahara Beige (5011) perfect match for the Amani Bronze tiles, almost unnoticeable. • New Appliances: 11/10 Signature Kitchen Suite. Couldn’t be happier with all of them!! The microwave is insanely large and easy for both me and my husband to use at 5’2” and 6’. We host pizza parties now and bake the best cookies on our pizza and baking stones from Pampered Chef. Highly recommend the Misen nitrided ‘nonstick’ carbon steel pans for the induction range. Le Crueset pots work on it as well as my Our Place pot. [x] 36” Hood insert (SKSHI3601S). [x] 36” Induction Cooktop (SKSIT3601GE). [x] 30” Speed Oven Wall Oven combo with 5-in-1 Advantium Oven (SKSCV3002S). • Faucet: 9.5/10 Brizo Artesso SmartTouch articulating with finished hose. A splurge and LONG lead times, but so worth it! I liked the look of it but the touch to activate feature and the fact that it keeps the water warm are both surprisingly convenient. Docked 0.5 point because the gold color is a bit odd and shows every water drop and stain. • Hardware: 10/10 the jewelry of the kitchen. TopKnobs (purchased through Wayfair) - Honey Bronze color Kara Knobs, Bar Pulls, and Somerset Cup Pulls ; Rejuvenation Classic Large Cabinet latches in Heritage Brass ; Delta air switch, perfect match for the Brizo faucet because they’re the same company (Amazon) • Pendant Lights: 10/10 Hinkley Oliver Transitional Style w/ etched opal glass in Heritage Brass ; Rejuvenation drum from Marketplace. Just picked it up for a kitchen remodel, immediately returned it. Felt like Temu junk to me. I wouldn’t complain if it was $200. I have an old Delta faucet that was $200 from Menards and they’re basically the same quality IMO. Thoroughly disappointing. Is this what $600 gets you now? This plastic’y junk? The sprayer attachment felt like a child’s toy. All plastic junky, yuck. Is Brizo that much better? Hans Groehe? Okay so this is my current kitchen faucet. Pictures 2 and 3 show you the absolute hell that has been my life for the last couple hours. I’m limited in vision/mobility not only by the obvious center divider, but also the dumbest shelf in the world, built literally AROUND the pipes (and not for the first time either, if you look at the red arrowed area 🙃), sunken in about 6-6.5” (wax paper roll for scale). The actual faucet area under the sink is that far back and damn near entirely inaccessible that I’ve been trying to rely on a mirror and the flashlight from my phone to even see what I’ve been doing. The last two pictures show the faucet hole (?) as it is right now; I have not actually been able to remove anything from it, nor turn that plastic piece counterclockwise/break it to be able to remove the actual faucet assembly. TL;DR: Can I do a two-faucet kitchen sink setup using two 3/8 compression tees installed on the hot and cold supplies (right after the shutoffs)? Hey everyone, I'm working on a somewhat unique kitchen sink setup and want some advice. Can anyone take a look to make sure I've thought of everything? We have a dual-basin sink with four holes in the deck (total spread is ~12.5"). I'm planning to replace the leaky three-hole faucet + sprayer with (from left to right): Main Faucet: Large faucet (model: Moen 7594ORB) with integrated sprayer (sprayer not attached yet in pic) (Plug): Just a plug to leave space for the main faucet's handle. Soap Dispenser Secondary Faucet: A smaller, bar-style faucet (model: Delta 14882LF-RB). This will have a junior cache adapter and a dishwasher snap-connector on the aerator for our portable dishwasher. I already bought the two faucets so those are kind of locked in. If possible, I want to supply both faucets with hot and cod water. This is how I am planning the supply lines under the sink: Hot Water: Floor supply pipe -> Main shutoff valve -> 3/8" female x 3/8" male x 3/8" male Threaded Compression Tee (like this one) -> both faucents. I think the supply goes from 1/2 before the shutoff to 3/8 after, where I'll connect the tee(?) Output A: Main faucet. Output B: Secondary faucet (mainly for the dishwasher). Cold Water: Will mirror the hot side (though previous homeowners installed two shutoffs?) Main Questions: Will the two branching 3/8" connections be good enough to run both of these faucets without flow issues? They won't usually run at the exact same time. Since the faucet supply lines are teed together, is there any risk of pressure from the dishwasher cycle damaging the cartridge or valves of the main faucet? Is the shutoff valve before the tee the correct approach, or should I have two shutoff valves (one on each 3/8 branch after the tee) for hot and two for cold? Do I need any extra o-rings/threaded tape/pipe dope on any of these connections? Or just the gaskets that came with the faucets (and nothing extra on the supply hoses/tees)? The problems I'm trying to solve with the current sink are: 1) multiple leaks (sprayer, pinhole in faucet itself), 2) I'd prefer a single-handle over double-handle, and 3) it's inconvenient to not have faucet access while the dishwasher is running. Pictures are attached for the planned placements (actual faucets pictured, but photoshopped in to visualize it) and general plan, but I can attach more if needed. This is my first time plumbing a kitchen sink and all my knowledge is just from books/Youtube/research, so any advice or critiques would be greatly appreciated. Redoing my kitchen and I'm at the faucet stage. I was basically set on Delta but then my cousin (who just finished her own reno) told me she regrets not going with Moen. Both seem solid with lifetime warranty, good reviews, similar price range. But I keep seeing people say Moen is better for long-term durability while others swear Delta is easier to fix yourself if something goes wrong, I'm like which actually matters more, the build quality upfront or how easy it is to deal with repairs down the road? Fyi I cook a lot so the faucet gets heavy daily use, I'm looking for anything something that won't give me issues 5 years from now. For those who've had both or switched brands midrenovation what pushed you one way over the other? Quick update: I went with Moen, after I reading the comments. The free cartridge replacements and long term durability people mentioned really sealed it for me, and also gonna skip the big box store and find a local plumbing supplier like a few of you suggested, I didn't know that made such a difference! Has anybody ever seen anything like this? Midwestern USA. 1958 brick ranch with full basement. City water which tests good every year. All copper pipes. 12 year old Delta pull down spray faucet. I sometimes get a speck or two in my Britta jug, but when I remove the combo spray head from the pull down hose, I get this after two months. Water needs to be full on. Hot or cold. Been moved in for 10 months now and it sure is sweet living in your own home, especially one you built for yourself. It took 18 months to complete. I work from home, so I was often able to work on the house during the day and work at nignt. 3/2 ~2300 under roof, nothing crazy. Made it my own in lots of ways but the cabinetry is really where I left my touch. I spent a long time designing the kitchen and master bath. No, I don't have enough lights 😂. Kitchen is Sundance stained cherry and black stained oak with Quantum Quartz - bianco tiffone. Bath is paint grade maple with SW ballard blue and Cambria Inverness Cobalt. Delta 45" sink with dual Moen touchless faucets. This is one of my absolute favorite features. My wife and I can both be using the sink at the same time. Highly recommended this as a custom touch!! 30" GE profile induction range paired with 36" profile 600cfm hood. I really like the hood being wider than the range, it definitely helps capture all those gases. Cabinets start at 90" and bump up 6" each step with the top of the center cabinet being at 126" cathedral is at 144". Cabinets left and right of hood are 66" split between 42" wood panel and 24" glass. Still not sure what I'll display in there yet, but even if nothing I love the look a little bit of glass added. Hi all, This faucet handle is leaking so I’m trying to replace the stem, spring, etc. I am completely unable to get the stem out because I can’t remove thjs nickel piece (I think bonnet nut) underneath the faucet. It only has a tiny sliver of hex head that I can’t get purchase on with any sockets or wrench. It’s possible hard water deposits have it stuck in place but I’m not really sure as haven’t been able to apply much torque to get it off in first place. Am I misunderstanding how this comes apart?
