Work gave me $20k AUD to upgrade my entire home office (PC included). Already running a 9950X3D + RTX 5090 — what should I upgrade?
My employer has allocated $20,000 AUD for me to upgrade my entire home office setup before EOFY, and this includes the PC if there’s a meaningful improvement. I already have a very high‑end workstation that I use for AI/LLM workloads, software engineering, and gaming, but I’m open to upgrading anything — tower, monitors, peripherals, networking, ergonomics, acoustics, etc. I’d love advice on what would actually make the biggest difference in performance, comfort, and long‑term productivity. Your budget, location and time of purchase? $20,000 AUD / Sydney, Australia / Must be purchased before EOFY. Which local retailers are available? Scorptec, Mwave, PLE, Centre Com, Umart, Amazon AU, JB Hi‑Fi, Officeworks. What is the PC for? AI/LLM workloads (local inference, experimentation, dev work) Software engineering Gaming (modern AAA + high‑refresh titles) General productivity across multiple monitors Any aesthetic preferences? Clean, functional, quiet. Not chasing RGB. Full‑tower or large‑format cases are fine. Interest in overclocking? CPU/GPU/RAM? No CPU or GPU overclocking. Light RAM tuning only if stable. Stability > squeezing out extra performance. Extras/peripherals required? Open to upgrading: Monitors (4K, ultrawide, high refresh) Desk + chair Lighting Speakers / mic / headphones Webcam Networking (10GbE, NAS, UPS) Keyboard / mouse KVM, docking, cable management Acoustics / sound treatment Basically: anything that meaningfully improves a high‑end home office + gaming setup. Existing parts to reuse? Current PC setup: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk WiFi 96GB DDR5‑6000 CL30 Crucial T500 4TB NVMe Palit GameRock RTX 5090 32GB Antec Performance 1 FT MSI MAG A1250GL Windows 11 Pro / Bazzite Peripherals: HP Business Slim keyboard HP USB optical mouse Logitech Brio 100 webcam Samsung C24FG70 Dell S2725QS All of this is already owned — but I can upgrade the PC and peripherals if there’s a meaningful improvement. submitted by /u/Alternative_Aide9758 to r/buildapc [link] [comments]

Best Office Chair Brand Right Now In 2026?
Just wanted to circle back on this: Thanks for all the feedback on the steelcase vs herman miller. I ended up going with a Steelcase Leap after seeing so many of you mention how adjustable it is for long days and how good the lumbar support is. Been using it for a while now and it's way better than my old one. No more flat cushion or sinking every time I lean back. Hi, I am writing this post because I am in urgent need of a new office chair. My current is the Steelcase Series 1 one and it's been my one and only for like 5 years now. The cushion is flat now and it squeaks and sinks whenever I lean back. I've been reading on here and and come to a realisation to either get a Steelcase Leap, Herman Miller Aeron, Haworth Fern or LiberNovo Omni. I don't want another cheap office chair, more like a real ergonomic mesh with solid lumbar and adjustable arms. My budget is $1,500 so I can afford each one. I thought to be loyal to Steelcase and get that Leap, however I might be missing out on something better. I honestly can't wait anymore as the summer is almost here, so I'll be working from home more and I want solid support for long days. Basically ready to pull the trigger so please help me make the final decision! submitted by /u/JoyousMap12 to r/OfficeChairs [link] [comments]

Listed my old office chair for free and got three paragraphs explaining why I should deliver it
Pretty standard situation. I have a desk chair that's perfectly fine, just upgrading to something better for my back. Listed it on Facebook Marketplace, free, collection only, stated that clearly in the post. Added that I couldn't do evenings or weekends because of my schedule. First few messages were normal. Then I get this response from someone that starts with "hi lovely" and goes on for quite a while. The short version is: she really needs the chair, her current chair is causing her back problems, she works from home, she has a lot going on at the moment, her car is at the garage, her partner works full time, and she was wondering if there was any way I could drop it off since I "already have a car." I do have a car. The chair is free. I get that. But it's a desk chair, I live about 25 minutes from her, and the whole reason I listed it as collection only is because I'm not running a delivery service. I replied politely saying sorry I really can't do dropoff, collection only as listed. She came back asking if I could "just this once" because of everything she had going on. I said no again, wished her luck finding something. She left me a one star review on marketplace saying I was "unhelpful and unfriendly." The chair was free. I was giving it away. I said no to driving it across town for someone I've never met and apparently that makes me unfriendly. Anyway, second person who messaged collected it the same afternoon, no drama, brought a friend to help carry it. submitted by /u/DoffQuob to r/ChoosingBeggars [link] [comments]

Lifely Work From Home Chair - a review
I purchased the Lifely Work From Home Chair for $743 AUD (using a $50 first purchase coupon, plus $94 delivery). As of today, I’ve had it for around three weeks. TL;DR: You’ll be annoyed you spent this much for the quality you get. I bought this chair with the highest of hopes. It was advertised everywhere and seemed like a work from home dream. However, I couldn’t find a single reliable review, so this is the review I wish I had seen. There was no option for pickup for any Lifely products that I could see, so you’ll be stuck paying the high delivery cost. Putting it together was easy, but once finished, it does feel slightly cheap. It’s rated for a maximum weight of 110 kg, and I think that’s truly the upper limit of what I’d feel comfortable putting on this chair. The fabric is nice, not luxurious, but decent. It’s apparently easy to clean and spill resistant, although I haven’t had to test that. There’s no lumbar support at all, but that’s not a selling point of this chair. It’s marketed as a recliner, best suited for people who like lounging while working, and in that sense, it does its job well. The only annoyance is that the handle to adjust the recline is very low and awkward to reach. When inspected, it looks like it has been cut and then awkwardly rewelded. I’m not sure why. There is a wooden tray table that sits in the arms once the padding is flipped over. This tray feels a little too short to slot in properly and ends up ‘perching’ in place using small wing tabs on the sides. The tabs don’t sit cleanly at 90 degrees, they sort of flare out. It’s a great idea, but poorly executed. If you carry any weight around your midsection, you likely won’t be able to use the table comfortably. It sits too close to your body to work on a laptop. I measured the working space at about 13–14 inches. (This is a quilting ruler) The chair also looks quite unattractive when the arm-padding is flipped over, and the tray is in use. The exposed underside fabric is a cheap lining material. It’s quite large compared to a regular office chair. I expected this, so it’s not an issue for me, but definitely check the specs if space is a concern. It measures 84 × 84 × 70 cm (L × W × H). It has a flip-out footrest, which is a nice feature. It tucks neatly under the chair when not in use. However, it’s not long enough for my husband, who is 175 cm tall. My biggest issue, and my reason for wanting to return, is the padding. The website describes it as ‘cloud-like’ and plush, but I wouldn’t agree. The padding is lumpy and gives the chair a budget feel. The seat has very little cushioning, and what was there has already compressed with normal use, leaving the fabric sagging unattractively. I’ve only used it for three weeks. The armrests also have very little padding, likely to allow them to flip over for the tray, but when the tray is stored inside, you can feel both the tray and the arm frames through the fabric. My overall score for this chair: Should have bought a second hand Herman Miller/10. Full disclosure: I’ve contacted Lifely twice with my feedback and photos and requested a return, but I haven’t received any response from either email. According to their website, I’ll need to pay a 15% restocking fee plus a potential pickup fee. That will likely exceed $100. Adding that to the already high delivery cost (since there was no pickup option). This chair has ultimately been a poor financial decision. submitted by /u/NurseGander to r/OfficeChairs [link] [comments]

Are there any good office chairs for long hours sitting that will last and don't cost a fortune?
You can find countless reviews from long-time users on Reddit about the value of ergonomic chairs. Brands like Herman Miller or Steelcase are often mentioned due to their popularity and outstanding quality, even though they can be quite expensive. However, there are many other great alternatives that can ensure your 8-hour workday is as comfortable as possible. Before diving into the list of the best office chairs in today's market below, let's take a look at some of the key things you need to know: 3 MAIN factors to consider before buying an office chair -ergonomics and adjustability This is pehaps the core factor when choosing an office chair. When a chair is ergonomic, you will likely find it more comfortable for long hours. And you also have a lower risk of incurring injuries and a bad back at the end of the day. The term ergo means to “be able to adjust to being efficient in a working environment.” And this term is actually used and abused in the industry. Some brands present their chairs as ergonomic even if they are really not. It’s so easy to put a tag or label on merchandise and claim it as ergonomic. So....how then will you be able to determine if it is ergonomic indeed? Simple, by looking at how adjustable the features of the chair are. The more adjustable it is, the more ergonomic it is. And the more ergonomic it is, the better you’ll be able to find the ideal spot of comfort. If you are going to work on a chair for the entire day, your body needs to move. So an ergonomic chair must be able to accommodate minimal movements. A recline, a change in the tilt, a subtle rocking motion, and even an adjustable seat depth can do wonders for your body. These minimal movements can help relieve pressure points and prevent numbness. It allows your body to take a breather even while you are still seated. Buying a computer chair with adjustable features is one thing. But having easy access to these adjustable features is another. So you also have to consider if the chair can be easily adjusted. Say for the seat height, you must be able to easily adjust the seat while still seated. Because if you will not have easy access to any of the amazing features, it will be to no avail. You won’t be able to make the chair comfortable for you. And even if you do, you might find it hard to access the levers or the knobs for the recline. And that can be frustrating, let alone it can eat uptime. -size of the chair You must be able to sit comfortably on the chair without your thighs rubbing against the armrests. If it does, then that chair is too small for you. Ideally, look for one that will allow for more movement. If you fancy crossing your legs while playing on your console, then an office chair with a wider seat will work for you. That’s why you have to sit on the chair for several hours. Trying it on for a few minutes might not cut it. -stability and durability The material of the base of the chair plays a big factor in its durability. There are three types of materials often used in chair bases- nylon, aluminum, and steel. Steel is the most durable. But some office chairs with a steel base can be too hefty. And they are the most costly too. So you also have to consider if you’ll be moving the chair from one place to another. If that is so, then a steel base might be too much for you. The second one is aluminum. This is the lightest. Thus it’s suitable if you’re moving the chair frequently. And aluminum also has a more modern look, but it is not as sturdy as steel. And the third is nylon. Nylon is similar to plastic, except that it is more durable. It’s also more affordable but the least durable of the three. It also does not look that sophisticated. There are several things to consider when choosing the material of the base. We have mentioned one above. Are you going to love the chair frequently? The second is the user’s weight. Those on the heavier side will be better off with a steel base. This will ensure that the chair will last longer and can accommodate the extra weight. What is the best and most comfortable office chair that you always swear by for long hours at desks?
Hi im seriously thinking about getting a real ergo chair for my home office. I'm a freelancer wfh so i'm basically spend most of my day at desks. Recently i've been noticing that my back starts to hurt if I sit for too long. I currently use a cheap 'gaming' chair and i've never invested in a high-end one before, so i'm still hesitant about spending a lot. Do you think it’s worth the money? I still keep hesitating on spending a lot on it. Should I invest a better one? I need something lets me sit in different positions and the ones come with adjustable armrests are nice. I'd love to hear from remote workers here who've actually used or owned one. Did it does help with the discomfort or back pain from sitting long hours? Thanks for reading and your advice/recommendations. submitted by /u/hienesan to r/OfficeChairs [link] [comments]

Need Recommendations for Best Office Chair, 8+ Hours a Day
Hi, I spend most of my day at my desk managing servers, troubleshooting, and on calls, easily 8–10 hours daily. My current chair is killing my back and shoulders, and I feel like it’s starting to affect my posture and focus. I’m looking for an office chair that’s supportive, durable, and actually comfortable for long hours. Budget is flexible, but nothing absurd (around $350), looking for something that will last years without feeling like a torture device after 2 hours. If you’ve got a chair you love for long sysadmin shifts, or even some tips on features to prioritize (lumbar support, adjustability, armrests, etc.), I’d really appreciate it. I just want to work without dreading the chair… Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/jousiemohn to r/remotework [link] [comments]

India Best Office Chair Buying Guide 2026
In 2026, India’s office chair market is full of fake “ergonomic” claims, chairs look premium but fail in real use. --------------------------- Common issues with budget & mid-range chairs: Gas lifts sink over time Seat foam flattens quickly Fake lumbar support Wobbly or non-adjustable armrests Mesh loses tension “Ergonomic” in name only --------------------------- Most YouTubers and Instagram reviewers get free chairs, so they skip long-term comfort issues and focus more on looks than 8–10 hours of real use. I have personally tested these chairs in showrooms, coworking spaces, and home use. No sponsorships involved, this guide focuses only on comfort, durability, and spine health, not looks. --------------------------- Best Office Chairs in India (2026) Best Office Chair under ₹5000 ASTRIDE Ergofit Ergonomic Office Chair Adjustable height and tilt lock for personalized comfort Breathable mesh back to reduce sweating Sturdy build for everyday use https://amzn.to/4t3QgXt Da URBAN Merlion Office Chair Comfortable cushioning with supportive backrest Smooth swivel and easy mobility Simple design that fits most workspaces https://amzn.to/3NoHkvj --------------------------- Best Office Chair under ₹12000 The Sleep Company Onyx Office Chair High-density foam with lumbar support Adjustable armrests and tilt mechanism Premium upholstery for added comfort https://amzn.to/49JOS3m Green Soul Jupiter Pro Office Chair Ergonomic mesh with headrest and lumbar support Multi-functional adjustments for posture alignment Smooth caster wheels and robust build https://amzn.to/4bFiL7l --------------------------- Best Office Chair under ₹15000 Frido AeroMesh Ergo Chair Full mesh design for breathability Adjustable headrest and lumbar support Strong base and smooth reclining action https://amzn.to/4bXB0Fd Vergo Ease Premium Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair Advanced lumbar adjustment system Comfortable mesh with padded armrests Solid build quality for extended sitting https://amzn.to/4qb37Ey --------------------------- Best Ultra Premium Office Chair Steelcase Leap Office Chair Highly adjustable ergonomic design for long hours Exceptional lumbar and seat comfort Premium build with long service life https://amzn.to/3M5iDDF --------------------------- How to Choose the Right Office Chair 1. Based on Your Usage Time 4 hours/day - Basic ergonomic chair More than 4 hours/day - Adjustable lumbar + firm seat foam 2. Based on Your Body Type 3. Back Pain Consideration Avoid soft cushion seats Lumbar should be adjustable, not fixed Recline + tilt lock helps reduce spinal load Chair Types Explained (Important) 1. Mesh Chairs Cooler for Indian climate Good airflow Poor quality mesh stretches over time 2. Foam/Fabric Chairs Better cushioning Can trap heat Foam quality matters a lot 3. Leatherette Chairs Looks premium Not recommended for long hours Technical Specs You MUST Check Seat Foam Density Anything lower will flatten quickly Gas Lift Avoid unbranded gas lifts Base Metal or fiber-reinforced nylon Plastic bases crack over time Armrests Fixed armrests are a red flag Warranty Check what parts are covered (foam, mesh, gas lift) Red Flags (Skip These Chairs) “Orthopedic chair” with no adjustability Overly soft seat cushions Fixed lumbar marketed as ergonomic No mention of gas lift class Only aesthetic-focused reviews --------------------------- Conclusion A good office chair should support your spine for years, not just feel comfortable for 10 minutes. Ignore influencer hype and flashy designs. Focus on foam quality, adjustability, and build strength. Every chair recommended here is chosen for real-world usage, posture support, and durability. If you are confused between two chairs or want a recommendation based on height, weight, and daily work hours, drop a comment, I will help you pick the right one. submitted by /u/Choice_Brain_3668 to r/ApplianceGuideIndia [link] [comments]

My home office and lounge room (Ankara, Turkey)
(Reposting because my old post got automatically removed due to nonexistent location) I once shared my room here when I moved in 3/4 years ago. But with time I added different furniture’s and changed the layout quite a bit. Happy to answer any questions you have 😊 Note: it was a journey, and most pieces just happened to be collected with time. Some pieces like Vitsoe chair 620, I literally purchased them in one country (Germany) and drove them back home. submitted by /u/farslan to r/AmateurRoomPorn [link] [comments]

Hey everyone, I'm on the hunt for the best office chair and I desperately need some advice. I've been working from home for a while now, and my current chair is completely wrecking my back. I'm hoping to get some suggestions from people who have gone through this and found something that actually helps. Price isn't a concern. Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/bark19932 to r/buildapc [link] [comments]

AskAManager: New update: my office argued for 5 months about whether I could have an ergonomic chair
DO NOT COMMENT ON LINKED POSTS. I am NOT OP. Original post in AskAManager trigger warnings: HR & bureaucratic ineptitude mood spoilers: chair apparently needs it's own security my office argued for 5 months about whether I could have an ergonomic chair - May 31, 2023 Editor's note, you have to click on the link to read Alison's response I know you’ve posted in the past about requesting accommodations, but could I gather your thoughts on below? This encounter at my current employer frankly made me feel crazy — like I was dealing with 12 Dwights from The Office crazy. I’ve had a long history of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions (think 10+ years, multiple surgeries, the works) that make sitting for extended periods of time difficult. Fortunately, with a few accommodations (standing desk, ergonomic chair), I’m actually pretty pain-free these days. However, if I don’t have said accommodations, I’m in a lot of pain and very uncomfortable. It all started earlier this year when our office was requesting us to come back to the office two days a week. I started going back to find that I was incredibly uncomfortable. Our office chairs are not good, and I would be in excruciating pain almost immediately. I spoke to my manager about this, and she suggested I reach out to our Office Operations team. I explained my situation to them and asked if there was another chair I could use. We went back and forth about whether I needed a chair. After about a month of discussion, I submitted a doctor’s note that explained my health history, hoping this would speed things along. Instead, this led to a five-month (yes, five months) ordeal over processing my accommodation. When I say it felt like an episode of The Office, I kid you not: HR submits my request to a third party to process. I follow up with HR every two weeks to no response, and have no access to contacting the third party. Office team also starts pinging HR for about a month after me with no response. HR follows up two months later to inquire if the ticket I submitted could be closed. I explain I don’t have my accommodation and have been trying to contact them. HR realizes they never submitted my doctor’s letter to said third party and submits it 3+ months after I gave it to them. Third party says doctor’s note is insufficient. I go back to my doctor and obtain a very detailed note. Third party says the second doctor’s note is still insufficient and request will probably not be granted. Third party also says hilarious things like my doctor “probably doesn’t exist because we tried calling them once and got a machine.” Every time third party calls, it also feels like they are calling me from a grocery store or something, because I hear a scanner in the background continually beeping as if they are near a checkout counter. I push back, saying that I feel we are splitting hairs here, that the doctor’s note is more than enough, and that I will go back to HR to discuss. HR takes two weeks to schedule a meeting with me. In that time, my ergonomic chair gets approved (yay!). I still hold the meeting with HR and explain what happened with the third party and my concerns. HR tells office team to purchase ergonomic chair. Two weeks go by and I follow up with HR about chair. Office team either doesn’t respond, or flat out lies when saying they reached out and are waiting on me to respond when they haven’t. I explain to HR that I haven’t heard from them, etc. HR escalates, but does not have much of an impact. Other Dwightian discussions occur, such as where the chair should be stored since it’s an open floor plan, we have no closets, and someone might steal the chair. There is talk of chaining the chair to a desk, forcing me to come into the office for five days instead of two to ensure I am sitting in the chair every day and no one takes it, etc. They finally also give me a permanent desk (again, open floor plan), and sincerely debate kicking out a C-suite executive (essentially my grandboss) from their desk/chair so I could sit there. I push back and say this would be totally inappropriate, but yet again this is the logic I’m dealing with. Chair is finally ordered just over a month after accomodation was approved. From the day I began this request, it took five and a half months to get the chair I needed. Chair has not arrived yet, but fingers crossed that it arrives on time in the next few weeks! My question to you is — was any of this normal? Should this have taken this long for an ergonomic chair? The other issue I feel is starting to occur is I think my manager is starting to get upset. I explained to them when I first started this that given how painful the chairs are (I was literally in pain within 15 minutes of sitting) and I did not feel comfortable coming into the office until my accommodation was sorted out and would continue to work from home. I don’t think they really liked this, but they probably thought this would take a few weeks. I don’t think my manager is happy with how long this took and am worried they will blame me or even worse, retaliate, overlook me for promotions, etc. How do I explain that this wasn’t totally my fault and that I did everything I could to move this forward? I’ve tried explaining in further detail to them, but they do not want to hear it. Is there any way to encourage them to hear me out? update: my office argued for 5 months about whether I could have an ergonomic chair - November 27, 2023 Your advice was great and definitely helped me! I’m happy to say that I received the chair I needed in early June, which was right after you published my story. As uneventful as this sounds, the chair is everything I could ask for, and I’m so grateful that I can come to the office and not be in pain. They put a small sign on the back asking people not to use or move it, and so far I haven’t had any issues. I didn’t have a meeting with HR, but word got around about my “chair gate” situation, and everyone was pretty floored and also thought the whole ordeal was ridiculous. update: my office argued for 5 months about whether I could have an ergonomic chair - August 15, 2024 Surprise!: HR incompetence rears it's head again and has the memory of a gnat To recap, part of the arrangement I worked out with HR was that for this accommodation to work, I was also given a permanent desk (my employer otherwise hot desks). This was to ensure the chair wouldn’t get lost, stolen, etc. which honestly I appreciated, and has helped me feel secure about having my accomodation when I’m in the office. Everything was going fine until the last couple of weeks, when: I was informed by HR that permanent desks will be eliminated and everyone will have to hot desk. I emailed HR asking what this means for my documented, medical accommodation. HR seemed to have completely forgotten about me. The person who arranged all of this is no longer with company. HR says they will get back to me. A week goes by. I follow up with HR. HR says I will need to go back to Benefits and reconnect with a contracted third party who processes accommodations (who frankly was awful the first time I engaged with them). HR is “pretty sure” everything will go through, but can’t guarantee. I submitted all of this documentation over a year ago. I had everything formally approved by HR and the third party who processes these items. I have emails from HR confirming everything was formally approved. Everything is supposed to be on the books. Why am I essentially back at square one? I shared all of this with the HR team, explained the lengthy process I went through to get this chair, forwarded emails from HR confirming everything, but they are making it sound like I will need to go back through all of this all over again. Shouldn’t records like this be kept in some sort of software/official record-keeping process so that even if an HR staff member leaves or is terminated, there is historical documentation for all of this? Shouldn’t this be HR’s responsibility to iron out, not mine? Also, what would happen if for some reason they don’t approve the accommodation the second time around? Would they take the chair back? Admittedly, I am still waiting to hear back from HR. Perhaps I am making a mountain out of a molehill. But just thought to share, because I literally cannot make this up. (Note, no advice from Alison on this update, but comments advice finding a new job or an employment lawyer) Reminder - I am not the original poster. TIL President Kennedy was prescribed a rocking chair for back pain. He found one he liked so much he bought 14 copies for the Oval Office, Camp David, Air Force One, and homes of his family. He also gifted them to heads of state.

TIFU by taking a seat in my husband's office chair with no clothes on
Read the "Winnie the Poo" TIFU post and it reminded me of this story... felt maybe today is the day I'll share it with at least all of you guys... because my husband will NEVER be told of this event. So this happened 2 years ago. I had moved in with my then-fiance (now-husband) and we were sharing an apartment. He had just built himself a new, really flashy desktop computer and sometimes I just liked to hop into his seat and browse a few things on the internet instead of opening my laptop, etc. One day, post-shower, I was trying to cool down from all the heat and steam and was kind of "airing" myself out in the apartment. Meanwhile, my husband was home and just hanging out on his computer. At some instance, he decides to go to grab some tea and leaves for the kitchen. At this moment, I plop into his chair... and probably within like 20 seconds... I decide that this is a great time to fucking fart. I forcefully ripped one and felt the leather office chair underneath me go damp. I was mortified. My husband was in the other room, the smell was about to hit me at any point, and I had NO idea how I'd explain a straight small shit puddle in his office chair. I suddenly almost-scream that I need him to go to the pharmacy, NOW. He freaks and tries to come near me, but NO, I was not letting him get ANYWHERE near me within a 10 foot radius and I just kept insisting that he go out and get me some "midol." I probably seemed absolutely insane at this moment, but I'd rather appear in excruciating pain to him than a shart-monster. Thank goodness my husband is quick on his feet and is the type to hop on important tasks. No questions asked, he flies out the door and runs across the street to the pharmacy. At this point, I haul the chair into the bathroom, clean up, and windex the shit out of it. Long story short - to my husband, it was a night I likely got a small "ruptured ovarian cyst," and required immediate pain meds (I have HAD this before and it hurts like absolute hell, but he doesn't know the extent of womanly-problems much, so he didn't even question it). He never mentioned the sudden-windex smell of his chair though.... and we never spoke of it. TLDR; I sharted in my husband's office chair while he was in the kitchen by accident, freaked him out enough by "acting like I was in pain" and ejecting him out of the apartment to buy me pain meds (since ibuprofen and tylenol wouldn't do), and windexed the shit out of his office chair. He still doesn't know this ever happened. EDIT: Well, you guys made it happen. Front page and guess who uses reddit? My husband:) I tried to keep my cool and almost "laugh" at this as if it was someone else's story and for some reason as soon as I read the TLDR he just straight went "haha did you post that?" and welp... my taken aback silence and his following double take said it all. He knows (he actually didn't know this happened until now lol). He still loves me :'D... and while I find this horribly embarrassing, on the bright side, he can stop the shart jokes since it's not as funny anymore when I've actually done the deed (in his chair). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thanks for all the hilarious additional stories in the comments, the awards, and just laughing at/with me. Lesson of the day: don't push farts out, let em flow naturally. submitted by /u/throwaway_storytyme to r/tifu [link] [comments]

Working from home, in a tiny room with no ventilation being cooked by the weather and my PC. I spin around on my chair slowly so I can the experience the thrill of being a Doner Kebab.
Just going to cover myself in garlic mayo and lime juice Edit: Thanks for the awards guys. Don't waste your money on me, spend it on a kebab instead. submitted by /u/yeoldestomachpump to r/britishproblems [link] [comments]
