Looking for a pair of wireless headphones.
Budget - Preferably under $300 USD, but if theres a pair thats lasted you a LONG while, Im perfectly fine going over. Source - Bluetooth, the set would be primarily connected to my phone or my Steam Deck to use while out and about. Requirements for Isolation - Noise cancelling features would be great to have, but is not a dealbreaker. + Not necessary, but it would be nice if there was an option to have something similar to Talkthru or ambient aware that JBL has. Made my life a lot easier when with one button, I could listen around me. Preferred Type of Headphone - Over ear or on ear preferred. IEM’s are a no go as i always have issues with earwax when using them. Preferred tonal balance - No clue. I am not good with tonal stuff. Past headphones - I have used a pair of JBL 520BTs, Beats solos, and I currently have a pair of Airpod gen 4s. (was not a big fan of those last ones.) Preferred Music - Big fan of artists like Carpenter Brut and Dan Terminus, but also often listen to Hard rock bands from the 90s. (Metallica, Megadeth, you get the idea.) My most pressing concern is that the headset can withstand a gym environment, where sweat will get on them, and be cleaned regularly. The JBL headphones I previously had did not hold up well, where the material peeled off, showing the cloth ear cup. submitted by /u/Ill-Sort7254 to r/HeadphoneAdvice [link] [comments]

Best Wireless headphones around 100$-150$?
Hey everyone! I'm looking for a wireless headphone that I can use for both gaming and probably listening to music as well. I've been looking for the arctis nova 7, since I've seen that It can connect on both PC and mobile thru bluetooth, and I thought that maybe I can use it when gaming at home or when I'm at work and studying. Do you guys have any recommendations? I've seen alot of brands like Logitech, Steelseries (like the one I've mentioned), JBL, Sennheiser, etc. I've done some research on this, however my brain can't really handle the amount of information some headphone reviewers & yt vids are giving, and my time and workload are hectic for me to even bother checking every reviews of other brands. Any recommendations will be very appreciated! Thanks!! submitted by /u/GodKyua to r/pcmasterrace [link] [comments]

Koss KPH30 Wireless: A Scathing Love Letter ❤️💙
Disclaimer: this review is entirely for entertainment purposes because writing over the top reviews on headphone aesthetics is fun. Anyone taking it too seriously or offering unsolicited practical suggestions will be given the side eye. After my last ridiculous bullshit headphone review someone was entertained enough to buy me some better quality ridiculous headphones to review next. So here we go, the Koss KPH30 Wireless These headphones are the sound-can equivalent of a sexy librarian fantasy. Un utterly ridiculous, superficial marketing grab, meant to manufacture nostalgia for something completely unrealistic. Yet like some random lady in a pencil skirt and fake glasses, oddly compelling. Really to me these headphones look and feel like a late 90s public library’s bulk bought budget computer headphones that exist solely so you can listen to a CD of an educational audiobook about whales while you master the art of microsoft paint, or ponder the mysteries of windows media player’s inexplicable psychedelic visuals. So why am I falling for it? Because I am a sucker for a sexy librarian apparently. At a base technological level these headphones are surprisingly (or not entirely surprisingly for Koss) decent quality across the board. Bluetooth connectivity actually does, you know, connect. Promptly even (looking at you JBL Rewind app) 20 hourish battery life is absolutely adequate. I have described the sound quality as “I’m extremely satisfied and even impressed this is coming out of something that feels like it’s made by Playmobil” However also The headphone pads have the approximate texture of old sandpaper The volume button is more of a suggestion of an alteration than an actual function. The on ear grip force is like having your head crushed between the thighs of someone who skips leg day, which isn’t super hard but it’s way harder than it really needs to be and not conducive to multiple hours of constant wear. Hey nobody is perfect ok. But beyond the technical specifications, I just adore how these headphones make me feel. These are, at the end of the day, kind of a fashion statement. They’re retro, they’re gimmicky, they look like they belong to a cool skater kid in a cartoon. And honestly why shouldn’t that be the point? I want to look cool goddamit. When I walk down the street I want to feel like I have become that cool grownup I fantasized about becoming when I was like 7 and sitting on the library computer pondering the mysteries of the universe via windows media player. Anyway you can fix the ear pad issues by clipping the inside edge of a set of Yaxi pads into a deeper groove and then they will stretch over and actually stay on for the most part. ❤️💙 submitted by /u/the_a_udacity to r/headphones [link] [comments]

JBL LIVE770NC bluetooth pairing fixed on my PC
Just posting here in case anyone has this issue. My headphones would pair with my Windows 11 laptop but audio/mic would not work. Even after removing the device in Bluetooth settings and rebooting my laptop, still would not work. The Fix: - Right click on the Windows button, go to Device Manager - Expand Bluetooth - Right click on Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) - Click Uninstall - Check the box 'Attempt to remove the driver for this device' and then Uninstall - Reboot PC and during the reboot, Windows will automatically reinstall the Bluetooth drivers - Viola! Repairing my headphones worked! Hope this helps someone in the furture! submitted by /u/Far-Huckleberry-1023 to r/JBL [link] [comments]

jbl wireless headphones
Ive loved jbl down for everything but I always have problems with their bluetooth headphones. I first bought the jbl 510 and I fell in lov, but they stopped working after 1 year and so, I bought an upgrade, 520, so good right? The same happened, one earbud stopped working due to connection, bought the 510 again because I liked them better. Guess what ? I kept on buying because my friends also have them and they worked fine so I guessed I was unlucky but three times?? I have to hit my headphones so they connect. I tried every trick and after 1 year and a half the connection problem but this lasts ones just don’t connect at all without me hitting them (?) Im switching brands cause I have him and I really need headphones, but has anyone else had this problem? Its a great brand and don’t get why this keeps happening, and im very neat they are always well preserved, I honestly don’t get it,I have to get rid of them practically new ! submitted by /u/Altruistic_Show_950 to r/JBL [link] [comments]

Bluetooth issue with JBL Flip 7 on HP laptop (shows as “Unknown device” and won’t connect) – need help
Bluetooth issue with JBL Flip 7 on HP laptop (shows as “Unknown device” and won’t connect) – need help Laptop: HP Pavilion 16-ag0022AU (Windows 11) Bluetooth adapter: Realtek Wireless Bluetooth Adapter Speaker: JBL Flip 7 Issue: My JBL Flip 7 connects instantly to my iPhone and also connects normally to my boyfriend’s laptop (shows correctly as “JBL Flip 7”), but on my HP laptop it doesn’t show up properly. Instead, I sometimes see an “Unknown device” when scanning, but I’m not even 100% sure if that is the speaker. When I try to connect to it, it fails every time. What’s happening: The speaker is definitely in pairing mode (rapid blinking blue light). My laptop can detect something, but it either doesn’t show up at all or appears as “Unknown device.” It never identifies as JBL Flip 7 and never successfully pairs. Other Bluetooth devices (like my JBL headphones) connect fine, so Bluetooth is working in general. What I’ve already tried: Confirmed the speaker works (connects to phone and another laptop), turned Bluetooth off on phone to avoid interference, restarted both laptop and speaker multiple times, made sure the speaker is in proper pairing mode, toggled Bluetooth on/off on laptop, used “Add device → Bluetooth” and waited 20–30 seconds, ran Windows Bluetooth troubleshooter (no issues found), turned airplane mode on/off, checked Device Manager (Realtek adapter present, no errors), installed the latest Realtek RTL8xxx Bluetooth driver manually from HP (and restarted), tried connecting to “Unknown device” (fails), uninstalled and reinstalled Bluetooth adapter, removed all Bluetooth devices from settings, uninstalled Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator + LE Enumerator + Realtek adapter, showed hidden devices and removed old/greyed Bluetooth entries, restarted to rebuild Bluetooth stack. Current status: Still not working. Either nothing shows up, or “Unknown device” appears and fails to connect. The speaker never shows as JBL Flip 7 on this laptop specifically. Any ideas? Is this a Realtek compatibility issue, Windows issue, or something else I’m missing? submitted by /u/aims9876 to r/techsupport [link] [comments]

UK Wireless Headphones - £100ish
Budget and location - I'm in the UK, and will most likely be buying from Amazon. I'd like to spend about £100, but have some flexibility. Source/Amp - Bluetooth, from phone. Possibly also from PC, but this is a bonus, rather than a requirement. How the gear will be used - These are just general headphones, for a mixture of uses. I do need closed back, because these will be used in public. Dual connection might be useful for gaming, but I do have a gaming headset (although it's kind of rubbish and I don't use it much). I am after over-ear headphones, not in-ear earbuds. Preferred tonal balance - Balanced to somewhat bassy, ideally with an EQ or similar. Preferred music genres - All I can say to this one is yes. And I don't mean the prog band. I have a very varied taste in music, but tending to lean towards louder, more aggressive styles. Past gear experience - I currently use the JBL Tune 710 BT, which is pretty good, but I would prefer rather larger earcups (like you'd find in gaming headsets), ANC and replaceable earcups. I've had this pair for a bit over three years and the padding is becoming damaged. Some truly low-end headphones I've had have had a weird audio problem that I'd describe as "hearing the backs", where the audio is muffled and limited in bass, but I think this shouldn't be an issue at the £100 mark. submitted by /u/jerdle_reddit to r/HeadphoneAdvice [link] [comments]

Bluetooth not connecting to JBL Tune 720BT
EDIT: Added more information I found. Trying to connect to my JBL headphones doesn't work, it hangs at "connecting...". Attached video demonstrating it does work with another device (Soundcore headphones) but not with the JBLs. Of course the JBLs work, I use them all the time with my iPhone and other devices. Tried everything: Bluetooth reset Whole reset Device wipe Firmware update (twice) Headphones reset Other users reports about this issue: Found another user (u/The_Sleepthief) with the same problem and another model of JBL Tune headphones: https://www.reddit.com/r/snowsky/comments/1lja27w/echo_mini_does_not_connect_to_my_jbl_tune510bt/ Another user (u/The_Sleepthief) reports the same issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/snowsky/comments/1lja27w/echo_mini_does_not_connect_to_my_jbl_tune510bt/ Another user (u/lost_demonn_) reports the same issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/snowsky/comments/1m28as5/cant_connect_headphones/ Some users (u/HerroMysterySock, u/Newsandbuy) say JBLs use a codec not supported by Echo Mini (Fiio support didn't say this): https://www.reddit.com/r/snowsky/comments/1m28as5/comment/n431n2m/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button Sent email to support, they replied asking for more info, sent them the same video and they said they'd forward the issue. They didn't mention any incompatibility. ChatGPT (take with a grain of salt) reports both devices should be compatible: 📌 Device Bluetooth Capabilities JBL Tune 720BT Bluetooth 5.3 Profiles: A2DP v1.3.2, HFP v1.7.2, AVRCP v1.6.2 — typical modern Bluetooth audio profiles. Uses SBC as the mandatory codec (and could support AAC, aptX, etc., if implemented — but JBL spec sheet does not list AAC/aptX explicitly for this model). Therefore: JBL Tune 720BT supports standard Bluetooth audio streaming (A2DP) and control (AVRCP), and basic voice calls (HFP). FiiO Snowsky Echo Mini Bluetooth 5.3 with only SBC codec support for wireless audio. A2DP streaming is supported but limited to SBC (no AAC, aptX, or LDAC support according to multiple spec sources). 🧠 Compatibility Assessment ✔ Bluetooth Version Both devices use Bluetooth 5.3, so there’s no version-level incompatibility. ✔ Codec Support Echo Mini only supports SBC for A2DP. JBL Tune 720BT supports A2DP (which requires SBC at minimum). Even if JBL supports additional codecs, SBC is required and should be available. ✔ Conclusion: There is codec-level compatibility — SBC on Echo Mini matches A2DP’s mandatory baseline codec on the JBL headphones. submitted by /u/tonileys to r/snowsky [link] [comments]

Wireless headphones keep breaking
Hi, i have been using Wireless Headphones / Earphones for nearly a decade. Unfortunately they have all been unreliable compared to wired ones. Before the death of the headphone jack, i used to rock 2 pairs. Wired earphones and Bluetooth over ears or in ears. The wired ones were always cheap (5-30 bucks) and usually did the job well. Sony MDR in ears lasted me around 3-5 years (some even 6) per pair (they got through washing machine, rain, abuse and still worked fine, except the rubber around the cable squeaking a bit). First experience with wireless were some Energy branded headphones (a cheap brand from Poland). They sounded fine, but hinges broke after maybe a month. Then i got a Sony ZX330BT, which cost around 150 $ at the time, which was not cheap... They lasted for a year and battery died. Next i used 2 QCY earphones (Melobuds, then Melobuds Pro). Both worked fine for around 6 months, but then battery started to discharge at very fast rate, then they started to rattle and one of the buds started to have low volume problem Same with headphones from Panasonic. My brother bought some 120$ model from them (cant remember the name) and they broke completely after a year. As a sidenote, i take good care of all of my gear. Regular cleaning, carrying them in a pouch and clean empty pocket, not using them in rain or abusing them. The ones i said were abused were beater ones I got very tired of having to replace them every few months or a year at best. Is this a common issue or just a bad luck? Btw: Only wired ones which lasted me less than 2 years were the JBL T wired, which broke due to poor quality cable :( submitted by /u/AtamiiX to r/headphones [link] [comments]

Need headphones for gym. Which ones should i get: Soundcore H30i or JBL Tune 520BT?
I am starting gym and i need a pair of headphones to listen to music there while working out. P.S: I do own moondrop chu 2 but sadly can't take them to the gym with me the quality control already sucks on these. I was thinking of getting the sony WH-CH520 but that is out of my budget, so can't get those. So these 2 are my only option i suppose(unless you guys have something better), although i would rather not prefer TWS. submitted by /u/Aarav2208 to r/headphonesindia [link] [comments]

Need a headset with mic and both Bluetooth and gaming-grade wireless
I have been using a Quantum 800 for the past few years, unfortunately today the mic broke and I couldn't fix it anymore. I'm looking for another headset that could give me Bluetooth and something good enough for gaming at the same time. I like it because I can play on PC and have it connected to the smartphone at the same time. I'm almost convinced that I should buy another thing on the JBL Quantum high-end line. This headphone will be used occasionally for gaming, but most of the time for working (and listening to music while working). REQUIRED: Wireless is a must. Bluetooth AND 2.4Ghz dongle (or similar tech) is a must. I care for audio quality for music, but whatever EQ works. I care for good microphone and a discrete mic (or that I can put aside when I'm not using it). I'd appreciate if it also has a 3.5mm jack. I don't care a lot for ANC, but would appreciate it as a bonus. I do not care for RGB at all. I care for comfort. The past Quantum 800 was comfortable but quite heavy. Bonus point for Linux-friendly stuff (like Logitech). I don't really have a fixed budged. If stuff is expensive but is really good I'll take it. I have done my research and to me it sounds like I want another Quantum, but I'd like to hear the community's opinion. I have also seen the Logitech G435 that looks good, but I'm not certain of it (since it's much cheaper than my previous Quantum 800 I'm questioning if it has the same level of quality). My mates jbl headphones were on it’s way out so I got him the sennheiser 630
I was kinda skeptical of all the reviewers glazing this product but the hype is real. I’m an earbuds/ iem guy & I own a couple iems worth 500usd with my fiio qx13 dac/ amp. I usually hate headphones due to it ruining my Afro & being too big to carry around whereas I can just slip Bluetooth earbuds into my pocket & go. For my pc I use my trusty old audio technica m40x but decided to buy these as a gift for my mate & man music just sounds correct. The soundstage is really good for closed back, it has depth, height etc… & the bass isn’t overly boosted but it never sounds thin or hallow to my ears. The vocals are a joy to listen to & the imaging is top notch, the level of detail is incredible. The music can go from sounding intimate to flexing its wings & sounding open. I filmed my mates reaction & seeing him go from his jbls to these, his reaction is priceless hahaha, it’s like he’s experiencing music for the first time, Well done sennheiser. submitted by /u/JoshBiv to r/headphones [link] [comments]

Bluetooth headphones has critical vulnerabilities
New research from ERNW reveals critical vulnerabilities in popular Bluetooth audio devices used in at least 29 models across brands like Bose, Sony, JBL, and Jabra. These flaws allow attackers to potentially access phone calls, contact lists, or even remotely take control of smartphones! The exploit involves weaknesses in the Airoha Bluetooth chipsets used in many wireless headphones, earbuds, and speakers. One of the flaws is rated high severity, and although the current proof-of-concept is limited, the potential risks are far-reaching. The good news? No active attacks have been reported in the wild—yet. But threat actors would only need to be physically near the target. While this mostly concerns high-value individuals, it's a wake-up call for all consumers. Manufacturers were alerted in May, with some already rolling out firmware updates. Users should watch for official security patches and avoid using Bluetooth in sensitive environments until updates are confirmed. Why is industry using insecure technology for peripherals? Is there a better technology than Bluetooth for more secure communication? Or do we need to go back to wired? read more on this here: https://www.pcworld.com/article/2832006/hackers-can-attack-phones-via-bluetooth-earbuds-and-headphones.html ERNW Insinuator: Security Advisory: Airoha-based Bluetooth Headphones and Earbuds: https://insinuator.net/2025/06/airoha-bluetooth-security-vulnerabilities/ The following devices were confirmed to be vulnerable (there may be more): Beyerdynamic: Beyerdynamic Amiron 300 Bose: Bose QuietComfort Earbuds ErisMax: EarisMax Bluetooth Auracast Sender Jabra: Jabra Elite 8 Active JBL: JBL Endurance Race 2, JBL Live Buds 3 Jlab: Jlab Epic Air Sport ANC Marshall: Marshall ACTON III, Marshall MAJOR V, Marshall MINOR IV, Marshall MOTIF II, Marshall STANMORE III, Marshall WOBURN III, MoerLabs: MoerLabs EchoBeatz Sony (oh boy Sony has a few): Sony CH-720N, Sony Link Buds S, Sony ULT Wear, Sony WF-1000XM3, Sony WF-1000XM4, Sony WF-1000XM5, Sony WF-C500, Sony WF-C510-GFP, Sony WH-1000XM4, Sony WH-1000XM5, Sony WH-1000XM6, Sony WH-CH520, Sony WH-XB910N, Sony WI-C100 Teufel: Teufel Tatws2 submitted by /u/cyberkite1 to r/cybersecurity [link] [comments]

JBL wireless headphones stuck on white light and don’t turn off.
If your JBL Bluetooth headphones gone stuck on white light, unresponsive and you’re unable to even turn it off try following solutions. It worked on my pair of JBL Live 500 BT. •Solution 1: - Factory reset (press and hold both volume buttons + and - together for 5 seconds) •Solution 2: - Press or slide (depending on your headphones model) power button 3 times. •Solution 3: - Press and hold the power button for one minute. If non of the solutions above worked and the white light is still on and your headphones are still unresponsive try solution 4 which helped my copletely stuck on white light JBL Live 500BT. •Solution 4 - Plug your headphones to a laptop via usb cable. White light should turn off automatically. Press power button on again and the headphones should return to normal. I hope one of these solutions will bring your stuck on white light JBL wireless headphones back on working properly. submitted by /u/everxy to r/JBL [link] [comments]
