CBN + L-Theanine + Magnesium Glycinate for sleep — ingredient reasoning
Working on a sleep gummy formula. Here is why we chose each ingredient: CBN 10mg — consistent anecdotal evidence for sleep onset. Different mechanism than THC sedation. CBD 10mg — anxiolytic effects help with the racing mind. L-Theanine 100mg — promotes alpha wave activity, smooths sleep transition without sedation. Magnesium Glycinate 50mg — glycinate for absorption. Magnesium deficiency is extremely common and directly hits sleep quality. Melatonin 1mg — intentionally low. 5-10mg causes grogginess. 1mg signals circadian rhythm without overshooting. Happy to go deeper on any of these. submitted by /u/StevesGoods to r/CBD_infusions [link] [comments]

Game changer for my late-night overthinking: melatonin + magnesium + L-theanine gummies
I've always been an overthinker, especially at night. My brain just won't shut off - replaying conversations, worrying about tomorrow, running through endless mental loops. Recently, I started using a sleep supplement that combines 3 mg melatonin + magnesium glycinate + L-theanine + calming botanicals (passionflower, lemon balm, tart cherry). I was skeptical, but honestly, this has been a game changer. **What I've noticed:** - **Sleep onset**: Used to take 45-60 mins to fall asleep. Now it's 15-20 mins. My brain actually calms down instead of spinning. - **Quality**: Not just falling asleep faster, but sleeping *deeper*. Less tossing and turning. - **Morning**: Wake up clear-headed, not groggy or dependent-feeling. **Why I think it works:** The combination is smart - melatonin tells your body it's time to sleep, L-theanine quiets mental noise without sedation, magnesium relaxes muscles and nervous system, and the botanicals (passionflower especially) help with sleep onset anxiety. It's not a knockout drug - I'm not forcing myself to sleep. It just helps my body's natural signals work *better*. **My only caveat:** Everyone's body is different. I'm not claiming this will work for everyone, and if you have health conditions, definitely check with a doctor first. But if you're like me (constant mind noise at bedtime), this combo is worth trying. Has anyone else had success with similar formulations? Curious what your experience has been. submitted by /u/dopanutrition to r/sleep [link] [comments]

Magnesium glycinate for anxiety is life changing
I have been seeing an influx of posts describing long term debilitating anxiety and it’s made me feel like I need to share my experience so that hopefully it helps someone. I’ll keep it short. I have had anxiety my whole life but it got really bad a few years ago and I couldn’t leave my house without feeling like I was fainting. I am reluctant to take psych meds because I have a very sensitive system so I looked into lifestyle and diet changes to try to help at the source of the anxiety which was my heart. I was obsessed with my heart and something being wrong with it. Well if you google enough you’ll come across magnesium glycinate (DO NOT buy CITRATE. You WILL SHIT YOURSELF) and it is described as a long term heart health supplement. I bought it immediately. I’ve been taking it for 3 months now and I feel like a new person. I feel in control and I feel less obsessive over my heart and heart rate. I’m also getting more sleep and more restful sleep. Please consider grabbing a jar and take it every night before bed. I take the Nature Made gummy version you can get from Walmart and Publix. Best of luck to you all. I am with you in spirit 🫶 submitted by /u/swishyfishes to r/Anxietyhelp [link] [comments]

How much is too much magnesium glycinate?
So I’ve been having sleep trouble for over 10 years. Usually switch between weed and OTC sleeping pills when I became immune to the other. Finally took magnesium glycinate gummies (200mg) after my friend who also has sleep issues said it works on her. First two nights took two gummies to sleep and it worked but not it’s not working anymore. I’ve been taking between 5-8 gummies recently and still not helping. Want to know if I’m not the only one who has to make take more than the daily in take and is there a point where it’s just useless to be taking it cause no matter how many you eat you still don’t fall asleep submitted by /u/jkdying to r/Supplements [link] [comments]

Magnesium Glycinate and L-Theanine recommendations
I've started the new year trying to sort out my supplement intake to help with my ADHD. I want to start taking magnesium glycinate and l-theanine in a powder form because I'm much more likely to take supplements if they're in a more "fun" form like mixed into a drink, and I want more control than I'd get from gummies etc. All I can find online is either flavoured powders that combine the two, which I don't want because I haven't taken l-theanine before and I want to check it agrees with me in isolation. Otherwise I have just been able to find unflavoured powders which the reviews say taste disgusting. Does anyone have recommendations for either flavoured powders for these supplements in isolation, or unflavoured ones that don't taste bad? I'm in the UK so would need to ship to here! I'm also interested in the same thing for NALT or l-tyrosene and l-tryptophan if anyone has any recs! TIA 🙏 submitted by /u/martha-does-makeup to r/adhdwomen [link] [comments]

Magnesium Glycinate, from “holy grail” to sleep disruptor?
I’ve been taking Magnesium Glycinate for close to 2 years, and for a long time, it was a total game-changer for my peri/menopause sleep issues. I take a Consumer Lab "top pick" at the recommended dosage, and my partner takes it too, so we go through Costco-sized bottles frequently (this isn’t a good batch to bad batch issue). About a month ago, my sleep became terrible again. I started sleeping very lightly and waking up at 3:00 AM, then every hour after that. I decided to experiment: • Pre-holiday weekend - Stopped taking it, and I actually slept a bit better. • Over the holidays - Stopped entirely, and my sleep was more consistent. • The last 3 nights - Added it back in, and the 3:00 AM wake-ups, followed by waking every hour, returned immediately. I’ve taken 1/2 of a Ooly Melatonin gummy around 5-6am and can sleep until 10-10:30am in an effort to sleep more. But I obviously can’t do that next week once the work week starts back up. Has anyone else experienced magnesium glycinate suddenly "flipping" on them like this? Did you switch to a different form of magnesium? Night meds: 100mg Progesterone (oral), Trazadone, Lamotrigine 100mg (off label for sleep), testosterone gel and Magnesium Glycinate. Sleep hygiene is dialed in: night meds, warm shower, no bright lights or screens, white noise machine, cool room etc. I can fall asleep easily. Cannabis: I’ve tried various cannabis sleep gummies in the past (WA state) and they haven’t helped. Some types have made my sleep worse. I am considering trying a tincture or something else since it’s been about a year and 1/2. I can’t smoke cannabis in any form. submitted by /u/empathetic_witch to r/Menopause [link] [comments]

Magnesium glycinate
In case this helps another parent: my 4 year old takes a long time to calm down. We would go to his bedroom around 730 and he wouldn’t fall asleep until 930/10pm. He gets some magnesium during day in his multivitamin but I read that mnagbesium glycinate and glycine near bed might help. We’ve been doing it about 3 weeks and now he goes back at 730 but is asleep by 830 every night. Huge improvement. submitted by /u/Txdad205 to r/Autism_Parenting [link] [comments]

On the hunt for magnesium glycinate gummies?
I'm recently discovered just how much of a difference magnesium glycinate makes for me alongside my meds and wow it's been a game changer. I've been taking the Yumi brand magnesium gummies but they're now out of stock everywhere! 😭 I've tried one I found on Amazon but I'm convinced it doesn't work as well. Does anyone have any good magnesium glycinate recommendations? They need to meet the following criteria 🫠 vegan not a tablet (I'm a wuss and can't take tablets easily) no added vitamins/nootropics (so many have added ashwaganda or vitamin D etc!) Thank you! With Christmas coming up I need all the help I can get I think 😅 submitted by /u/Miserable-Buddy5134 to r/adhdwomen [link] [comments]

Magnesium Glycinate or Citrate for night time teeth clenching?
Hey! I clench my teeth at night and might even gnash or grind a little. I bought magnesium citrate gummies (Nature Made brand) and I have some magnesium glycinate capsules that my dad gave me. I can’t find any clear answers on what is the most effective magnesium type to take for this. I also can’t really tell what is working because it happens when I sleep. I also don’t know how many nights I need to use either type to notice results. I suspect that I, like many others, have magnesium deficiency and magnesium would have to build up for at least a few days before any real problems are solved. Sid question: if I stopped clenching, would my masseter muscles decrease in size? I am a woman and I really hate the large, square jaw. Magnesium Glycinate
My friends, I started taking magnesium in gummy form four days ago after getting it on a grocery run. It’s my only daily supplement (no meds) and I genuinely think I’ve been feeling less sluggish early in the day. I work part time afternoons so I can sleep in pretty late. Being both a night owl and morning person, but not exactly very motivated and productive at either times, I’m considering waking up at 7 and taking the gummies soon after waking ~as a science experiment~. Hopefully posting here will make me feel accountable. BTW a quick internet search said to take them in AM for energy and PM for sleep. And GLYCINATE bc the other one acts as a laxative. submitted by /u/notchagreentea to r/adhdwomen [link] [comments]

Is there such a thing as a Magnesium Glycinate gummy that tastes decent AND works?
I have a household full of ADHD adults and kids. Kids are 5-14 and they all need something to help them relax for sleep. I take the Sam’s Club brand with L Theanine it is chef’s kiss! The problem is that they’re horse pills and the kids (5, 6, and 11) can’t swallow them. We tried the capsules and would dump them into apple sauce and other things and everything turned green and kids wouldn’t willingly touch it with a 10 foot pole and nothing masked the terrible taste. I got gummies which are a lot easier for me to get the kids to take and swallow every night and my 11 year old has been complaining he was having a hard time sleeping. I decided to skip MY regular MagGly+ L Theanine and take their gummies instead—and they didn’t do a dang thing for me. I don’t think they work!! Or I got a fake product. What do you all take that works AND tastes good in powder form or gummy? submitted by /u/D_Damage to r/Supplements [link] [comments]

Buyers beware: Magnesium Glycinate
I'm not sure what happened in the past few years but it seems like all major supplement brands have slyly changed their magnesium glycinate listings on amazon to either A. Specify the amount of magnesium glycinate instead of magnesium. 200mg of magnesium becomes 200mg of magnesium glycinate which contains 22mg of magnesium, 1/10th the original amount! B. Mix in less desirable forms of magnesium (most often magnesium oxide) The latter is sometimes done without evening updating the product images and nutrition facts (bolded for those in the comments suggesting that people read the label before buying, you cannot in this case). You are basically sent a different product. I know this because I noticed the lack of properly dosed and pure magnesium glycinate on Amazon, so I went directly to a supplement supplier's website and bought what seemed to be the original product from 3 years ago (back when it was 100% magnesium glycinate). It ended up being the new "magnesium plus" product that contains mostly magnesium oxide. You can imagine how fun it was to switch from a bioavailable form of magnesium to a literal laxative overnight. Edit: The brand I experienced the shifteroo with was Nutricost being sold on Iherb. submitted by /u/Anxious-Traffic-9548 to r/Supplements [link] [comments]
