8 Months of Topical Fin/Min Application
Now on the presumably "tail end" of my logarithmic reaction to my hair routine. Here's my stack and some commonly asked questions from my updates a quarter ago. Routine: .3% Finasteride, 6% Minoxidil topical combination. Applied originally via four .25ml sprays. Moved to a dropper bottle at month 4. Applied nightly 6x per week right before bed, have only missed 2 nights total. Dermastamp (microneedle) 1mm once weekly before bed. Temples and scalp. I skip the topical on this night. Keta shampoo, normal concentration, 3 mins on scalp once or twice a week. Other Considerations people asked about (probably didn't have much of a hair-effect): I religiously take a multivitamin, fish oil, magnesium glycinate, and 5g of creatine daily. I lift 4x weekly and play team sports once or twice weekly. I sleep 8.5 hrs per night consistently. I drink socially most weekends. In the back half of my 20s. I am not sponsored, so I will not provide the brand name of the topical. It is safe to assume that it is the largest US men's hair regrowth company. Receded lightly through college then thinned consistently for a year before deciding to do something about it. I have had zero side effects. None whatsoever. I know that is individual to myself but no need to ask in the comments, I promise I don't miss issues with my body when they arise. Happy to answer any remaining Qs or take any advice for further temple regrowth! submitted by /u/No-Impression2072 to r/tressless [link] [comments]

My husband is addicted to ChatGPT and im getting really concerned. Any advice is appreciated.
Hi yall. So, as the title says, my husband is 100% addicted and I don't know what to do about it. Context: I 29f started using Chat a little over a month th ago. I held off cuz i thought it was sus and just another form of data gathering, bla bla bla. Now I maybe spend an average of 5mins per day on wither personal or professional. Usually a question, get answer, maybe expand, thanks, k bye. I told my husband 35m about using it, that it was cool. Maybe could help with his landscaping struggles and just poke at it. He did, like it used it a few times a day and it was cool. This lasted about 4 days Due to other chemical (accidental spray paint inhulation) and family issues he started having a really bad anxiety episode. Agoraphobic, high tensnsion, sleep issues, disregulated emotions and sprinkling of depression (personal hygiene, interests...) This isn't new, happens every few years, but what is new now is he has Chad. Within 3 days of all this starting he started paying for it. Saying he canceled the calm app (or something similar) and its basically the same price. Started feeding it symptoms and looking for answers. This has now progressed to near constant use. First thing in the morning, last thing at night. After our work day, during the work day. He walks around with headphones on talking to it and having it talk back. Or no headphones for the whole house to hear. Which confused the hell out our roommates. He uses it for CONSTANT reassurance that he will be OK, that the anxiety is temporary, things will be normal again for the past month. He asks it why he is feeling feelings when he does. He tells it when he texts me, send it pictures of dinner wanting it to tell him he is a good boy making smart choices with magnesium in the guacamole for his mental health or whatever the fuck (sorry, im spicy) and every little thing. And continues to call it Chad, which started as the universal joke but idk anymore. Last week his therapist told him to stop using it. He got really pissed, that she came at him sideways and she doesn't understand its helping him cope not feeding the behavior. He told me earlier he was guna cancel his therapy appointment this week because he doesn't want her to piss him off again about not using Chat. And im just lost. I have tried logic, and judgement, and replacement, and awareness. How about limiting it, how about calling a friend or talking to me. He says he doesn't want to bother anyone else and knows im already supporting him as best I can but he doesn't want to come to me every second when he wants reassurance. Which, im kinda glad about cuz I need to do my job. But still. I'm just very concerned this is aggressively additive behavior, if not full on nurotisism and I don't know what to do. TL/DR: my husband uses ChatGPT near constantly for emotional reassurance during an anxiety episode. Me and his therapist have told him its u healthy and he just gets defensive and angry and idk what to do about it anymore. submitted by /u/PurpleEyesi_i to r/ChatGPT [link] [comments]

Magnesium spray gave me immediate panic/ anxiety?
Hey guys, I ordered some magnesium spray from amazon the other day. I used it last night and i slept like a baby. Well tonight i had an epson bath then a few hours later i sprayed some of the spray on my lower back and feet. Within seconds i started to get dizzy my heart rate increased and my breathing became shallow. I then proceeded to chug multiple glasses of water and stood outside for some air. Can the spray be absorbed this quickly? Do you think I OD on magnesium tonight? I usually take it orally and never had this happen. It is magnesium chloride. submitted by /u/Ok-Badger7778 to r/Supplements [link] [comments]

Magnesium spray has significantly changed my life.
I'm a 32 year old male, I'm pretty healthy all around but I used to have ED issues from time to time, I think it was due to high cortisol levels / high stress & anxiety. A couple weeks ago I made myself some Magnesium spray & also a Magnesium balm with essential oils for bedtime. Ever since I started taking the Magnesium topically my anxiety / stress levels significantly reduced, have been sleeping so much better, I've been waking up with morning wood literally every single morning now & haven't had any issues getting a boner. I've been taking mineral drops in my water that contains high levels of Magnesium for almost two years now but I haven't noticed any positive changes until I started using Magnesium topically... it truly does work miracles !!! submitted by /u/Comfortable-Fly-9501 to r/erectiledysfunction [link] [comments]

Topical magnesium is better than pills
I bought a magnesium oil product from Whole Foods. The brand is Life Flo. Magnesium oil is just magnesium chloride mixed with water. It gets its name from the fact that it has an oily texture. I applied it generously all over my body at night after a shower. I felt the effect of relaxation start in about fifteen minutes and fully after about thirty minutes. I have tried it several times. I found that, for whatever reason, it disrupted my ability to fall asleep. Maybe, I feel energized with the replenishment of an electrolye that has been depleted throughout the day. For what it's worth, magnesium glycinate never made me very sleepy. I have switched to applying it in the morning. I apply it to my arms, torso front and back, and legs. I have supplemented with magnesium citrate and glycinate at various dosages. I feel that the topical magnesium is more effective. Magnesium supplements are not well absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract, so even if you supplement magnesium glycinate which is often recommended due to its bioavability, you're at best getting like a third of the elemental magnesium into your body. According to the bottle, four sprays equals approximately 70 mg of elemental magnesium. I measured the output of four sprays with a scale, and it was about one gram. Magnesium chloride contains 12.4% elemental magnesium. This means there is approximately 565 mg of magnesium chloride per gram of fluid. This product is a "magnesium chloride brine" since it was harvested from a seabed and has the whole "these Earthly minerals will heal you vibe," so let's call it a 1:1 ratio water to magnesium chloride by mass to account for the salt. I switched to dispensing it from a small bottle onto my hands which I then rub on my body. The amount I apply to my skin is about 150 mg elemental magnesium. I have ordered 6 lbs of magnesium chloride from Amazon for 25 USD. I will mix it with water to make my own oil. I am curious if I can mix it stronger than the 1:1 ratio. I tried making a solution of magnesium sulfate (Epsom salts). I was not able to mix it to a similar concentration. When I used what I made, it left white residue on my skin. I acknowledge that there is no scientifically documented mechanism for absorption of magnesium through the skin. However, many people swear by their Epsom salt baths. If you're like me, you turn to the internet and resources like this subreddit for a combination of academically valid information and accounts of personal experiences. I had initially dismissed topical magnesium due to the lack of studies on the subject. I'm not sure why it's not well studied. Most magnesium in the body is in intracellular storage. If transdermal magnesium is real, then maybe it puts magnesium directly into the cells, and as a result, it's hard to pick up the difference on a blood test. So, if you like supplementing magnesium, consider giving magnesium "oil" a try. submitted by /u/risingsealevels to r/Supplements [link] [comments]

Why is magnesium spray not more common than oral magnesium?
I bought some magnesium chloride, put it on my skin, and I feel the effects much better than when I take magnesium glycinate supplements. Looking around the internet, I found a few people that feel the same. Why is this not the common way to supplement magnesium? Is there some kind of danger I'm not aware of? submitted by /u/Swimming-Assistance9 to r/Supplements [link] [comments]

What's your guys thoughts on Magnesium Oil spray?
This magnesium oil is amazing, way better then any oral form of magnesium! I used to only take magnesium orally until just recently when I finally tried the magnesium chloride brine (oil spray). It says for every 4 sprays you get 70mgs of elemental magnesium.. I just got some Magnesium Oil Spray (Magnesium Chlroide Brine) for the first time several days ago. This form of taking Magnesium (through the skin, transdermal) is obviously the best. I put about 5-6 sprays on each my legs and rubbed it in.. Within about 10-15mins I was sitting at my computer almost falling into a deep sleep, it was hard to keep my eyes open. About 45mins to 1hour later, I finally tell myself "Ok its time to get up and get in bed".. So I turned off computer and went to take a quick shower to wash off the magnesium oil spray, jumped in bed, and had an amazing deep relaxing sleep. I've done this each night the past 5 nights so far and same results, its obviously the magnesium oil spray because within 15mins of spraying and massaging it into my legs I am super relaxed and fall asleep way easier. Magnesium taken transdermal is 1,000 times different and better IMO then any magnesium taken orally.. Sense it doesn't have to pass through your digestive system it seems to work way faster, way better and no chance of "digestive" issues in the sense of having to go #2. submitted by /u/jt2424 to r/Supplements [link] [comments]

Goodness.. Magnesium oil is no joke.
I've been using magnesium oil off and on with good effects, but today I used too much for my own good. About 10 minutes after I massaged in 12 pumps all over my torso and arms, I felt dizzy, nauseous, and a little weak, so I'm currently laying down on my bed as I type this. Though I'm feeling a bit ill at the moment (yet tranquil) I'm grateful to have found such an effective alternative. Stuff is powerful. submitted by /u/1BuffNemesis to r/magnesium [link] [comments]

My new wonder substance: magnesium spray
A nutritionist friend/fellow triathlete told me about magnesium spray recently as a way to reduce soreness in leg muscles after long rides/runs. I was skeptical at first, considering, well it's a freaking spray bottle full of water and a bit of magnesium. All you do is spray it on your legs and rub it in, not much different than sunscreen. From what they've told me, spraying it on rather than taking a magnesium substance is because applying it to the affected area is more effective. I have to say though, I'm really surprised at how much it's helped so far. Ironman training is starting to pick up in volume and this does wonders for me after a 60+ mile ride or long brick day. I'd say it's reduced my soreness the next morning by 25% or more, it's definitely worth the cash. I'm not attaching a link because I don't want people to think I'm hocking a product for money or anything, you can find it online if you're interested. p.s. Make sure not to apply it to anywhere where there's an open cut or if you've shaved that day, etc. That will sting like a SOB. submitted by /u/Bitterwhiteguy to r/triathlon [link] [comments]
