I bought her second hand and she was not in great condition. Her hair was dirty and matted but I washed her, brushed the hair out and gave her a choppy cut to match my own aesthetics. Sylvanian families shoes fit her! I have ordered a pink wig to match myself as a little me. I’ve been dying for a proper display case for my Sienna Blythe doll, and I’ve seen people use the Coffin Terrarium from Michael’s for their dolls! I bought the 11.5 size. It’s almost the perfect size. I do have to have my doll's legs a bit of spread because her head is right at the top, but she looks so good! i’m so proud of how she turned out! with this doll, i really expanded my skills and grew so much as an artist. ♡ the first step in creating nozomi was visual research. i put together a board of all the items i wanted to order for her, like her wig, eye chips, outfit, and accessories. then, i created a color palette to help me focus on her tones. i also made a mood board filled with inspiring images, and finally, i drew an illustration of how i hoped she would turn out. (included in my pictures here!) ♡ when it finally came time to make her, all of that planning really paid off. this was the first doll i created using soft pastels and watercolor pencils instead of my old makeup, and it made a huge difference! the watercolor pencils made drawing her eyebrows soooo much easier, and the soft pastels let me mix pigments to get the perfect pink tones. i also gave her a hime haircut and curled her hair using steam and velcro rollers. (hair ventures have been traumatic in the past, so i’m very happy this one went smoothly.) ♡ i also altered her outfit quite a bit. the bodice of the dress i ordered was way too big, and the pants that arrived were completely different from what i expected, they were a few inches too long! i hemmed them and did my best to make everything work. when i finished nozomi, i felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. she truly embodies what i want in a doll, soft and sweet, while still embracing blythe’s original charm. what do you think? should i make more like her? ♡ submitted by /u/sweetestblossom_x to r/BlytheDolls [link] [comments]
