Got my dream shoe todayyyy!!! Size-4.5 us men 23cm Even though it was a bit tight at first it felt fine after loosening the laces a bit…. I was getting paranoid over returning these and the hassle of refund and ordering another size again.. because I have been eyeing them for like 2 years now.. So yeah I suggest go for a size 1cm up.. usually I am 22.5 cm but I got half a size up even that was feeling bit tight at first.. so better to size 1 up. Anyways, the shoe was so fricking cuteeeee.. Hey everyone, As the title suggests, this hell of a beauty will not be staying with me for which I waited so long🥹 So, these are Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Beige and Brown(link: https://www.onitsukatiger.com/jp/ja-jp/product/mexico-66/1183c102_250.html) that I got from Japan from one of my collegues. After numerous VC's with him, I finally decided to go for these however, there was a catch. Since these shoes are usually narrower in the front, and there were similar discussions on reddit about going for a size higher, I settled for size 7.5UK, whilst my foot size was 7(please dont judge me😅) and waited patiently for it to arrive. My friend got me this like 5 days back and I tried it as exitedly as I could but the reality stuck. The size was too big for me(it flaps when I walk even with the tight laces). I was/am sad because this color is so versatile and will go with all light and dark denims/pants. I could use the shoe grips from behind while will make the shoes just wearable but I am afraid it wont be as comfortable as I want it to be (I would want to wear it regularly). As a result, I have to let them go. So, here's the ask: If anyone was/is looking for brown and beige Onitsuka tiger Mexico 66 with the size 7.5 and think it would suit them, then please DM. Job 1 yesterday, (my 1st full day in Tokyo) was to get to Onitsuka Tiger for a pair of classic yellow/black Mexico 66. Further research convinced me to bite the bullet and get some "Deluxe" from the Nippon Made line, since I really wanted "Made in Japan". My 1st stop was the Shinjuku East store...avoid if at all possible. It is a tiny store jam-packed with people and very frazzled employees trying their best. The pic above is me outside, and here is a short video clip inside...pandemonium. I was finally able to ask someone if they had "Nippon Made" and she said, "not here, only at the Omotesando store", which was a 15-minute walk away. When I got there, I found another store that, while still busy, was much larger and better staffed. I asked there for "Nippon Made" and he pointed at a large window display; only after another few sentences did I figure out he was pointing across the street to the large "Onitsuka Nippon Made" store I walked right by! Inside was a very nice store, much less crowded where I was helped almost immediately. I tried on the yellow/black Mexico 66, and then, to make sure I wasn't rushing into anything, I tried on some black with yellow stripes. Since I already have several leather sneakers in black, I went with my 1st choice. The people were amazing & the service was top-notch. The shoes had a price tag of 38,500 Yen, but they rang up as 35,000 Yen, I then got the sales tax refunded (score!) and paid 33,250 Yen. These are online at the US store (albeit sold out currently) for $400.00 I paid about $229.00 I'm sorry to say I forget what the standard line Mexico 66s cost, but it was about $88.00, as opposed to $155 online from the US store. Lastly I went into ANOTHER OT shop next door where they had little Mexico 66 sneakers for toddlers and kids (they were about $50).
