Creatine has a lot of other benefits including for the brain. A very well researched supplement. Same, bought ON for chocolate protein powder and unflavored creatine, a bit more expensive but worth the peace of mind.

I've tried reading up on it and what I've noticed is that any will really do. Is that true? Is there any brands you should absolutely stay away from might be a better question? I have been taking whey for a while and have tried a couple of brands under different budgets. Here are the ones I have never faced any problems with. Prices are for 1kg pack. Under 2k Nakpro Perform Whey A little sweeter but I like both chocolate and malai kulfi flavour. Between 2k to 2.5k Fuelone Naturaltein Superyou Chocolate flavours for all. The first two are really good. Didn’t find superyou’s taste there honestly, it’s okayish. Above 2.5k The Whole Truth Light, mixes well and decent taste. I know I have missed a dozen brands but don’t wanna put anything that I haven’t tried for atleast 30 days. Also, whey suits me, so haven’t included isolate options. Lastly, a thumb rule of buying protein - always take a tester pack first (mini one week pack). this is going to be a long post but I have compiled all the data in google sheet which I’ve added screenshots of for reference. Here we go: I started with nakpro because it was literally the first one which came on my google results. I did not look further and ordered it. now here are some pros - Affordable compared to many mainstream brands Works fine for beginners or people on a budget for cons, there are many! I would not recommend any beginner nakpro in 2026. Contains sucralose, xanthan gum, flavour and food colours (not clean-label) Uses whey powder which has lower protein percentage. No wonder it needs a 37 g scoop. This also increases the lactose content & started getting acne & bloating now after experiencing bloating and acne i moved away from this to muscle blaze biozyme it was recommended by some friends in gym it is on the expensive side. now for its pros and cons - Higher protein per scoop (25g per ~36g serving) Better protein-to-carb ratio compared to regular concentrates cons wise, it is better than nakpro but there are many artificial flavorings and ingredients any way. Whey powder is used as a filler ingredient Has more lactose instead of using whey protein concentrate. Doesn't give breakup of whey powder & whey protein concentrate Not the cleanest ingredient list for people avoiding additives Switched from muscle blaze biozyme to optimum nutrition (this time, I researched a bit before buying it. I knew about artificial flavors in this but i still gave it a try). it has few pros - Very low carbs and fats compared to most concentrates Good protein-to-carb ratio, suitable for cutting Consistent taste and mixability And well,for its cons, it feels like you are paying extra for “brand” rather than clean ingredients Contains artificial flavours, sucralose No testing data Also tried the whole truth before picking my protein powder of choice it is good but i feel like it’s not suitable for pros Sweetened with monk fruit, no sucralose Transparent ingredient list Every batch testing (protein, microbes, heavy metals, etc.) And for its cons, higher carbs and calories Higher carbs due to whole milk powder and dates Calories are on the higher side And the last protein powder in this list, which I switched to recently after seeing all the hype, also it’s by foodpharmer - only whats needed. so I trust it to be clean since its literally his whole branding. I feel like you need to get familiar with its taste since it does not uses any artificial flavoring for its pros Strong protein content per scoop (24g in 33g serving) - no flavouring agents or gums The lightest and easiest to drink of them all No sucralose or artificial sweeteners Very good protein-to-carb ratio for a whey concentrate Good value for money per gram of protein Most extensive batch testing (heavy metals, melamine, microbes, pesticides, etc.) i feel like cons might be very limited and easily one of the most balanced whey concentrates in the market right now clean label, strong testing transparency, and great value Many times it’s been out of stock when i needed a new pack - they really need to work on their supply Whey concentrate, not isolate (not for extreme lactose sensitivity) Taste takes time getting used to Limited flavour options atm What are your top choices? submitted by /u/banana-cat7 to r/Fitness_India [link] [comments]
