Hello from Australia! I am planning visiting Senja in mid-March as part of my trip, and I need some advice on where to stay in Senja if I am relying on public transport/taxis as I am not familiar with ice/winter driving. I would like to do a guided hike to Hesten for the Segla view as I am not familiar with snow hiking. Is March still a time that requires snowshoes? I would also like to see Tungeneset and Senjahopen. Many driving tours for Tungeneset I see are day trips from Tromso, is that my only option if I don't have a car? I also see guided hike tours which start/return to Tromso as well. I would be coming from Tromso and planning to head to Lofoten next. So would you recommend staying in Tromso and just doing day trips via tours? Or are there towns in Senja which are convenient to access the attractions I would like to go via taxi/public bus?
