frenchielove We’ve had 2 fans on all night so it’s OK here. I saw advice a few years ago that said keeping the windows shut, (curtains closed), and fans on was best. I tried it and checked with a thermometer, and it was a few degrees cooler, so that’s what we do now.

I'm using touchless thermometer at night. I know they are not very precise but gives me an idea if intervention is needed and doesn't require to wake the baby. Note that babies can get hot in the crib around the head so it might show a bit higher than it is.

If i thrash my 732 OIF on a hot summers day then take a temperature reading with the ray gun thermometer in the oil cap hole when I get home the oil is at 55C/131 F. No cooler fitted. No pressure gauge either, the oil light stays off until the motor stops. Before the crank was reground the oil light would stay on until 5 K when really hot.

Set up my first slow cook of the year to find one of my MEATER probes cracked. I've been using MEATER for a few years now but have never been truly impresse, mainly unreliable readings. I know others have had better experiences, I'm wondering if the new MEATER Pro model has any good reviews. Interestingly, one of the best thermometers I've used was a knock-off wired model I picked up years ago (didn't realize it was similar to Inkbird at the time). It was basic but reliable. Looking for Recommendations: Has anyone tried the new MEATER Pro? Is it a significant improvement over the original? What other thermometers are you all using and loving these days? Ok, so not long ago I bought a Weber. I’ve done a couple of cooks already that have gone well using my old thermometer set (ThermoPro TP17). I’ve got on well with this thermometer since getting it two years ago and it hasn’t (knowingly) failed me yet. However I’m now looking at upgrading. At the moment, I’m looking at either the INKBIRD IBBQ-4BW or IBBQ-4T (still not entirely sure the difference in the models apart from the 4BW going to 1 decimal place when the 4T doesn’t seem to). Or the ThermoPro Twin TempSpike. I haven’t gotten too annoyed having a wired probe set before, but that was with only two probes. The wired probe sets I’m currently looking at are both 4 so I worried that if I’m using all 4 at once, it could get messy and annoying. But they’re cheaper than the ThermoPro Twin TempSpike. Do you have any experience with these thermometers? Or do you recommend a different set entirely? Is it worth biting the bullet and going wireless? Hey everyone! I just got my first 22inch master touch grill and loving it. Made some thighs a few times and came out pretty good. I have a lot to learn and improve on but that is part of the enjoyment for me. One thing I am actively learning is temperature control. I was wondering if it makes sense to get something like a ThermoWorks or thermopen that could more accurately measure the inside of the grill. This would allow me to learn how to dial in my temps better when I start cooking a variety of different items. I believe there are ones you ca. use to monitor both the meat being cooked as well as attach a probe to the grill grate? I apogize if I am missing up the terminology. I am still learning.
