Als Küchenunterbauleuchte würde ich mir nochmal überlegen. IP20 bedeutet Schutz gegen grobe Partikel.

Tell me why you love your Thermomix! (journalist request)
I'd love to hear from people who love their Thermomix so I can include real customer stories in an online article I'm writing for them. What's your favourite Thermomix function? what do you use it for and how does it make cooking more fun/easier/better end results etc When did you get your Thermomix? How often do you use it? What's the one dish you never make without it? any other stories you'd like to share! It's a quick turnaround, so would appreciate responses ASAP if possible. I hope this journalist request is ok to post here - please let me know if not. Many thanks in advance, Lisa submitted by /u/Informal_Stretch7561 to r/thermomix [link] [comments]

My mum died and a old friend reached out to try and sell me a thermomix
This happened last year. She was just thinking of me and trying to help. Apparently grief would mean I wouldn't have the energy to cook my family healthy food. I got a thermomix 7 for my round birthday. Can you tell me how it’s useful and not just really expensive?
Hi, sorry I don’t want to offend anyone. But I wanted to ask this question. How is the new thermomix more useful than my other kitchen utensils? My husband gifted me a thermomix 7 for my round birthday. And I’m still shocked. I never gave the impression I wanted a thermomix. I was invited to a party like in 2018 and found it too loud and not useful enough for many people. It has its advantages and i know the new model has improved. But for me it doesn’t change or improve my life and seem like it just raided our joint account. Please help me to find more advantages, so I can be more positive about the gift and not just being sorry for the money. I would have loved to invest the money in a vacation or a part of kitchen renovation. My husband is using it daily and tries different things, but most could be done with our old utensils and a lot of dishes are more tasty without the thermomix for me. Please help to change my mind or to give some newbie tips. Edit: Thank you for your helpful advices, recipes and tips. I’ll try to use the thermomix more often and be more open minded about it. I find it hilarious that other husbands also gifted a thermomix as a present, so I’m not alone. submitted by /u/MariKJa to r/thermomix [link] [comments]

Der Thermomix (das Gerät) ist basically ein überteuerter Reiskocher mit Waage und Umrührfunktion
Hear me out Was macht den Thermomix besonders?

Is 90% of the Thermomix experience just scraping food out of a blender?
So I got my Thermomix last week. TM7. I envisioned moving everything I cook over to this device. Eggs, oatmeal, rice pudding, meats. Everything. What I thought was going to save me time and effort actually just did the complete opposite. Instead of simply frying an egg in a pan, I’m spending 5 entire minutes scraping egg out of my Thermomix blender. Meticulously scooping around the blades and little crevices. And even then 25% of the egg is wasted because it just can’t be scraped out. And it’s the same for ground meat. Same for the oatmeal. Same for the rice pudding. Same for everything. More time. More effort. Less food. I’m not complaining. I genuinely want to ask if I’m doing something wrong. It seems everything I’ve tried to cook in it just results in me having to hold up a heavy blender with one hand and aggressively scoop for minutes on end. Am I missing something here? I have to be. The sheer popularity and praise that this machine gets makes me think I’m the dumb one here. I HOPE I’m the dumb one here. Please help me justify this machine costing $2k. submitted by /u/Rowenofpts to r/thermomix [link] [comments]

:D submitted by /u/hipergar to r/Eltern [link] [comments]

Is a Thermomix (TM7) actually worth it?
I have recently started to cook for myself and I am honestly horrible at it. Therefore, I am considering getting a Thermomix as generally people seem to be happy with it. However, virtually all videos or reviews I found appear to be from someone affiliated with the company, so it feels more like an ad than an actual review. Are there any Thermomix users here that actually recommend the device? I just need something that will make cooking easier for me. It's also quite expensive so I want to be sure that it's genuinly useful and not an overpriced (1,500 euros!) gimmick. submitted by /u/GoldenGamerNugget to r/Cooking [link] [comments]

Thermomix in everyday family life - is it worth it in the long term?
Hey everyone, We are a family of four (2 kids, both parents work) and are thinking about getting a Thermomix. Between work, school and "What are we cooking today?", it sounds really tempting - but is it really going to last? I'm looking for honest experience reports, not a sales pitch. I am interested: Do you still use it regularly months later? Which recipes work well with children (even fussy ones)? Has it really simplified your everyday cooking? Would you buy it again? (Please be honest) Thank you for sharing your experiences! 🙏 submitted by /u/85Blickwinkel to r/thermomix [link] [comments]

Thermomix - scam or useful?
Let’s start with the truth: I’m not a great cook. It’s not my joy - but I’ve been thinking... will a thermomix help me find cooking easier? I’m ashamed to admit lately my family buys take out several times per week out of desperation. The cost of a TM is probably affordable given the takeout expenses (!). My partner and I have digestion problems and sometimes opposing dietary needs, for which the takeout does nobody any favours. I want to be able to do things like whip up a fresh loaf of bread on a Sunday with ease. I want to be able to make meals that we can also factor in freezer friendly leftovers. I want to be able to try new recipes and control the ingredients to suit our health needs. Does using a TM make life easier? Is it just another big chunky appliance and would I be better off finding cooking classes? submitted by /u/AdNumerous97 to r/Cooking [link] [comments]

Thermomix TM7 – A Love Story With a Bit of Heartbreak
I had the TM6 for a few months and completely fell in love. I was very reluctant at first—I love cooking, and I thought, "Why would I need a machine to do it for me?" But from day one, I saw how powerful this thing really is. We’re a family of four, and once I figured out how to cook on three levels using the Varoma, everything changed. I even adapted a bunch of our traditional family recipes to the Thermomix and we were amazed. We’re big on grilled food here, and that was the only real shift—we started eating more steamed or stewy dishes. But always rich in flavor, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. Not to mention the sweets and breads! Even my youngest, who’s five, made his own desserts (with adult supervision, of course—just in case the internet police are reading). I never messed up a sugar point again. We tried dishes from all over the world, baked countless types of bread... It was magical. I was so in love that I told everyone about it. I even joined the advisor program because I genuinely believed it could change other people’s lives the way it changed mine. Now I’ve been using the TM7 for a week... and I’ve got thoughts. Let’s start with the good stuff. She’s gorgeous! And silent! Up to speed 2.5, you barely even notice it’s working. The interface is a huge improvement—snappy, smooth, and finally fun to use. On the TM6, I preferred searching and editing recipes on my phone and sending them to Cookidoo. But with the TM7, that’s no longer necessary. The screen is super responsive, even with wet or dough-covered hands. It’s basically a high-end digital cookbook that doesn’t get stained. (Though, deep down, I still love a well-worn recipe book.) The new bowl heats up faster and holds temperature longer. The base is compact, almost like a camping stove, and now has a little wheel underneath that makes moving it around a breeze. You can even cook without the lid! Up to speed 2.5, the lid isn’t locked—so you can open it mid-step and the TM pauses automatically. There’s even a proper open-pan mode now, so it replaces yet another kitchen item: your stovetop. So yes, lots of clever improvements. But... now we get to the not-so-pretty part. To make the outer bowl cooler to the touch, they’ve added a two-part system: a metal bowl wrapped in an external protective layer. Sounds good, right? But for cleaning, it’s a bit of a nightmare. You now need to remove the outer layer to wash it properly, and the inner bowl stays very hot for a long time. On the TM6, I could wash it easily just holding the handle—now, not so much. The blade appears to be exactly the same as the TM6—no upgrades there. And to remove the blade and bottom cap, you now use a small side lever. Honestly, it feels like a weak point waiting to snap. As a parent of three, I know when something looks like it won’t survive the chaos of family life—and this lever is giving me toy-vibes (the cheap kind). They’ve also made the metal thinner. The TM6 bowl felt like a tank—solid, heavy-duty, built to last. This one? More like a sleek new car: shiny and fragile. The lid feels cheaper too. It might absorb less odor, but it’s lighter and less sturdy. My guess? They beefed up the screen and had to cut costs somewhere—so they trimmed it from the bowl and lid. And because the base is lighter, it tends to dance. No kidding—we were making a light dough and the whole machine wiggled like it was doing a little samba. Now, here comes one of the weirdest design choices: the power button. It’s this little bump under the display, sticking out to the front. You have to press it to turn it on. To me, that’s just begging for a failure point. In a kitchen appliance! While most modern devices are moving away from buttons, they’ve added one—and it feels delicate. And here’s the real kicker: The measuring cup no longer seals the lid. Let me repeat that: The lid doesn’t seal the bowl the same way anymore. On the TM6, the measuring cup clicked in and contained most of the smell and steam. Now, the lid has a fixed center cover that you can’t lift to peek in anymore. And the measuring cup doesn’t block the vapor—it just sits there, letting the smells out. This is a huge issue in small kitchens. On the TM6, I could cook onions, garlic, bacon, even full meals without needing the extractor. Now? I’m back to opening windows. It’s like cooking on a stovetop again. In the worst way. Final Thoughts To be honest, if this were a regular product purchase, I’d return it. The TM6 suited my kitchen and my life better. I’m still in love with the idea of the Thermomix. If you have the TM5 or earlier, the TM7 will be a revelation. But if you already have the TM6… I don’t know. It doesn’t feel like a revolution. It feels more like a downgrade with a touchscreen glow-up. Maybe the Thermomix has entered its iPhone era—new model every year, but are we really upgrading? submitted by /u/ProfessionalShoe6919 to r/thermomix [link] [comments]

AITA for not giving my husband food if it was made with a blender that he was mad about me buying
I bought myself a nice blender, I work part time at home and also watch the young kids that are too young for preschool. Due to me staying home I cook a lot, which I enjoy so it’s not a big. Now the issue is that he was pissed how much the blender was it, 125 dollars. This annoyed me greatly since I used my fun money for it and it is a household tool even if he won’t use it. I thought we were over it but I pulled it out again to make a smoothy and he made more comments about a waste of money and stupid buy. I had the conversation with him about the whole situation again, he made more comments next time I took it out and I had enough. Now every time I make something using a blender I don’t give him any. It came to a head today I made a soup and I used the blender. I told him I used the stupid blender to make it so he can’t have any and make his own food. This caused a huge argument and he thinks I am a petty jerk but I have told him so many time to not call my purchases a waste. AITA for taking it so far This post made me start really thinking about my marriage. I am asking for couples counseling and if things don’t change I will be done. submitted by /u/Commercial-Ticket860 to r/AmItheAsshole [link] [comments]

So I went to a Thermomix demonstration this evening...
Thermomix Wikipedia link. Not sure if anyone is interested, so I'll do the tl;dr first: tl;dr the Thermomix is interesting and powerful but not magical; it will be an assistant to rather than a replacement for your other cooking methods; I won't be getting one in the near future but maybe some day. So I went to a Thermomix "Cooking class" this evening. There were about 30 attendees, of which about 25 were already owners. Main observations: 1. Chopping I went there more interested in the cooking aspect, but came away more impressed by the chopping aspect. The coolest recipe was this "grain-free breakfast" called "CADA": you blend a bowl of dates, a bowl of shredded coconut, a bowl of raw almonds, and two apples quartered but not cored. It was delicious, like a kind of sweet, fresh, fruity breakfast couscous/salad. I now plan to buy a (cheaper) blender just to replicate this. 2. Salads I was also impressed by the salads the Thermomix creates: they are more in the style of chopped dishes - like coleslaw - but you don't need to overload with dressing as coleslaw usually is. It was an interesting, different and frankly better and tasty way to approach salad than big unwieldy lettuce leaves. I plan to try some of these when I get a blender. 3. Steaming pasta This was very cool, they cooked a tomato/vegetable pasta sauce in the Thermomix. Then they put the pasta in the steamer basket above it, then they added extra water to the pasta sauce. "Yuk", you are probably thinking. But no. The extra water just steamed away, leaving the sauce perfect again and the pasta thoroughly, perfectly cooked. This was probably the main "magic" I witnessed. 4. Cleaning up It was hard to tell how difficult or time consuming this is, because they had at least six staff there, including about six Thermomix jugs, so they could keep swapping them round. So I'm not sure how it would be to have just one jug, or what it would be like to clean them. 5. Time/Labour saving Yes the Thermomix is quick - but you still have to prepare everything beforehand. Much like a stir-fry, you have quite a bit of preparation, but of course once everything is ready in little bowls you can throw it all in and it's done very quickly (and you can pre-prepare chopped things in bowls with the Thermomix itself). But you then have to wash all those little bowls of course! 6. Holy Church of Thermomix The whole thing is a bit cultish, the Thermomix itself sat on the table looking somewhat like a robotic Buddha, and the way they kept referring to the main cookbook made it seem like a holy testament. There was big pressure to recruit more sales consultants. You also had to sign a form where you ticked "Non-owner" if you didn't own one, which was weird. I am now an official "Non-Owner" of a Thermomix! Feel free to ask me any more impressions, there's probably more things that I haven't put down. All in all it was an interesting experience and I would encourage others to find a class. It was only $15 to attend, and you got to taste everything, which worked out to be a light and healthy meal. submitted by /u/istara to r/Cooking [link] [comments]
