RE:MT242 Top Link. Go Hydraulic or Not?
The Vevor units work well. I have three of them now, the latest one just mounted up yesterday. A long one (31") to replace the shorter previously fitted. (Pat's hitches added length) The supplied hoses had to have the connector ends replaced. Too large for the Kubota remotes. The local auto supply is a Gates provider, and they did the job for $40 the pair.

Here's where I ended up today. Definitely some mistakes were made... I still have to round over the finger choil and do some more clean up. Hopefully I can polish this thing up enough that it's passable. Learned a lot today. I had to do all this freehand since my vevor grinder doesn't have a big enough table to use a jig. I'm going to have to make another table for it sometime.

Let’s talk Vevor
In this day and age we have legit brands, knocks offs, and what I’ll call “bid brands”. Vevor is a Bid Brand. They don’t engineer or design a thing but they put feelers out to throw their brand name on [Quality Ranking] of things. I want feedback on the Quality Ranking part. What has your experience been? I’ve had success, but with only 3x purchases I see one is now gone from Amazon. I’ve bought… -4” concrete hole saw. Did the job, I got a hole through 4” concrete. -bottle jack. I jacked up my shed corner and poured concrete. Now the item is gone. -Ultrasonic cleaner. So far, so good. submitted by /u/YertleDeTertle to r/Tools [link] [comments]

Vevor Store
Not Harbour Freight related but instead HF adjacent. Cheap tool provider Vevor has opened a retail location near Houston. I took a ride up there to check it out. I have no interior photos because they are not yet ready. it is a bunch of empty shelves and it looks like the target consumer is small business instead of home and hobbyist mechanics. They have a lot of restaurant supply items, landscaping materials, and some staff was setting up what looked like an elaborate cat scratching post. The big benefit that I can see is that it looks like you can ship things to this store and pick it up for a reduced cost or possibly free. I know that they're heavily on Amazon but for the large items that Amazon doesn't list, the retail store might be a good option. it's interesting to see them move into this space and traditionally Houston is not been a great target market for retail experimentation so we will see if this lasts but we will see. submitted by /u/canadian_xpress to r/harborfreight [link] [comments]

Vevor - Are They Really That Good?
Are Vevor tools really the way to go in a general sense? Curious to what y'all think. A buddy of mine got laid off and opened a handyman/remodeling company himself since he used to do that as a job in the past. Pretty much any time he needs he needs a new tool that he doesn't own, most recently an auger when he got a job to put up a a fence in a big back yard, and he swears by them. He was able to turn 2 days of post hole digging into half a day using the auger. I've got some wishlist tools and have been looking at their options myself. Just wanted to get others feed back on them. submitted by /u/StalkMeNowCrazyLady to r/Tools [link] [comments]

What are your thoughts on the Vevor Ultrasonic Cleaner
I’ve been playing with the idea of getting an ultrasonic cleaner for a while. I’ve been collecting for a few years and my collection is getting to 170+, and I still clean my records with a cloth and vinyl cleaning solution. I bought (but have not received) the Vevor 6L Ultrasonic cleaner. I paid CA$160 so it seemed like a good deal, especially since the only dedicated vinyl ultrasonic cleaner I can find in Amazon (the Humminguru) is about $800. It looks clunky and ugly, and I’ve read that it’s annoying and loud, but ultimately does a good job. Also, apparently it’s just a regular ultrasonic cleaner with an add-on that spins the records into the water, so hey, if I can use it to also clean jewelry and other stuff, even better. Looking for people to share their experience with it 🙂 submitted by /u/ChuckChias to r/vinyl [link] [comments]

4 month update on Vevor floor tiles
Let me start by saying I use my garage for car detailing. There is zero wood working, machining, car jacks, etc done in here. The most I’ll do is change my oil in my truck but it just happens I haven’t done that yet. This is what I do in my garage, what you do in yours might not be best for this type of flooding AND THAT’S OK. Installed my Vevor tiles August 2nd, so a little over 4 months ago. I don’t actually wash the vehicles in the garage (no drain) but I do immediately pull them inside after washing them so plenty of water drops off of them. Having that water now below me when I start dragging cords and shop vacs around has been great. I used to have to squeegee all this water out and now it’s a non-issue. My next “test” has been a very snowy start to the winter here in the Midwest (NC IL). If you haven’t lived through the joys of pulling in a vehicle covered in snow, ice, sand and salt and then having that all melt off and leave literal piles of all of the above…count your blessings. It’s miserable and was a concern for me. I’m happy to say it really hasn’t been issue though. The “stuff” fell through the cracks and what didn’t I just swept into the cracks. I tried to show in the photos how it looks but honestly there’s not much to see. Come spring I’ll pull a few big sections out into my driveways and sweep the floor but it doesn’t seem like it’ll be a huge ordeal. Like I said, it’s only December but we’ve already surpassed last year’s entire winter snow amount. I did break one of the tiles when I accidentally chucked a 6’ step ladder across the garage while battling Christmas light extension cords. It wasn’t my proudest moment but sometimes ya just gotta throw something. I have extras, I just need to replace it one of these days. I’ve also learned not to really crank the wheels or sometimes a few tiles will pop out of place. And just now I have the floor a quick mopping because the floor was looking pretty dirty but that took less than 5 minutes. Long story short; so far so good. submitted by /u/CarJanitor to r/garageporn [link] [comments]

Vevor Inflatable Tent
I’ve had this tent for 2 weeks. It’s been outside in the environment the entirety of the time experiencing rain and 30mph wind gust. Overall amazing tent, no complaints. Pros: Huge, couch room for activities. The wood stove keeps area super warm when consistently ran. All assembly pieces are super efficient and interchangeable with ease. Genuinely comfortable glamping tent and perfect for families/dogs. Cons: A bit heavy, have to find exact automatic air pump to work otherwise you’ll use manual pump(not terrible but it’s a workout), if gust of wind persist concern that tent may not be stable. submitted by /u/HawaiiVet1993 to r/camping [link] [comments]

VEVOR is not a scam, sharing my experience
I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions on VEVOR here and elsewhere, so just wanted to chime in with my two cents after a few purchases. Picked up a bench vise and a rotary tumbler from them over the past year, both arrived quickly and worked as expected, build quality isn’t Milwaukee or DeWalt level, but for the price, it’s hard to complain, I’d put it in the “good value” category~ not premium, not junk. Customer service isn’t super polished, but I haven’t had issues that needed a return yet, definitely not a scam, just budget tools that can be worth it depending on what you need. Vevor 9kw experience after 1 year of use
Hi folks, Here is my experience using the Vevor 9kw heater for all of 2024. Details Model Number: SCA-90BS Usage: Every day, running at least 90 mins including warm up time. I pour water on the rocks every session. Nearly always set to max temp. Sauna Dimensions: 8'w x 6'd x 9't(feet above the rocks, you know it) Sauna insulated with 2 layers of polyiso foil backed foam board Controls: On heater knobs only Paid: $148.88 Manufactured June 2023 Typical heat-up time: about 65 mins to get to 220F Heater "Review" - I spent a good amount of money on my DIY Sauna and decided to go cheap on my heater and upgrade if necessary. (Caveat: Vevor heater is the only heater I have personally owned) My heater burned out after one year of daily use. Specifically 2 of the 3 coils where the wire meets the heating coils (image below). For most of 2024 it worked great and I was impressed with how it heated up and the price. Around the holidays, it started taking longer to heat up (One coil down). Then on New Years Day it wouldn't get hotter than 170F-180F after 90 mins of heating (2 coils down). At this point, I removed it and found the damaged wiring. Upon purchase, I was skeptical of the heater given the price and country of origin, so I bought a backup after a few months. The second heater was manufactured in April 2024 (10 months later than the first one) and it does seem that the connections are slightly different, but it's hard to tell because the original was damaged. So far, the new heater is working great but I am preparing for another short lifespan and will start looking into higher quality models. Overall, I am not mad at the experience. The Vevor was ~10x cheaper than the other models I was considering. It performs well, but breaks easily. This is better than underperforming. However, I don't think I will keep buying them if they only last of about a year. It's not worth worrying about it. I will post an update if anything happens to heater #2. ***WARNING: Do Not Buy DIRECTLY from Vevor WARNING***
If you are considering a Vevor product, buy on Amazon if you want that product. Vevor is a complete jerk-around artist with any returns. It appears to work to make returns hard. I bought a 7-in1 wand for my daughter for Christmas. It no longer powers up. I sent a message to Vevor asking to return the product because it no longer powers up. I received back a message--likely automated--they sent back included the following: ". . . we would like to work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. To better understand the problem, we kindly request that you follow the steps below: 1.Please provide us with a detailed description of the problem you are experiencing with your item. 2.Kindly take a clear picture of the item code and packing slip on the outer packaging of your item." There may be a slight price break buying directly from Vevor. Don't fall for it. If the Amazon price is slightly higher, it is because returns are easier. But I don't have the packing slip (was never told to keep). I also didn't want Vevor to "work with me"; I wanted it to replace the dud product. So, I might be out $20 or $25 for product. Don't you make the same mistake I did! At best, you might find Vevor returns a time-wasting, pain in the ass. submitted by /u/BKM-StLouis to r/redlighttherapy [link] [comments]

Do not waste your money on Vevor pocket jig
My old plastic kreg jig was getting worn out and I wanted something a bit more sturdy. Bought this kit with the base for fairly cheap. Well it is cheap. I literally drilled ten holes and noticed more metal every time. I was drilling into 2x4 to use as braces so not a critical joint or anything. So into the scrap bin it goes. Fired up the Vevor for its inaugural run and I’m impressed. 30C for 30mins. Solution sourced from googling the internets of: distilled water (~90%) + 91% Isopropyl Alcohol (~10%) + 2 Triton X100 (2 capfuls)for 6L tank.
