I keep seeing that Waystar is hiring for an Advanced IT Support Engineer here in Louisville. Can anyone provide some insight on the company, this position and the pay for this role?
I’ve been with my current employer for two years now. I came in with a skillset that was above what I was hired for. However, I was promised that there was plenty of room for growth and advancement. It also helped that the position was full time and the offered salary was 20k more than what I was currently making. I was sold. Fast forward to today. I have not been able to move to another team even though I have the knowledge and experience. My applications for other positions were ignored. The company decided to bring in a third party to do a lot of the IT work. Our help desk is managed by a third party. Our SOC is managed by a third party. Or IT engineering teams are managed by a third party. The promise for growth was a lie. I’m not sure if my manager knew this was going to happen or if he was fed the same lie from upper management. Nevertheless, I am stuck doing desktop support. This isn’t what I want to do. But I’m willing to continue doing it for another company if they allow employees to grow within the company. Therefore, I’m looking for an employer that provides advancement for internal employees. I was wondering if Waystar provides that and was also wondering if anyone knew the salary range for the above role. Let’s be realistic here, with cost of living rising, it would be stupid to take a significant paycut. Waystar is of interest to me because they have an internal security team and they also have DevOps roles. I would be interested in advancing into either of these. Feel free to DM me if you don’t feel comfortable posting it here. submitted by /u/JaimeSalvaje to r/Louisville [link] [comments]

Uh, yo! I’m Kendall Roy, a venture capitalist and the former CEO of Waystar Royco. Ask me anything!
Yeah, uh, hey. So, it’s been a minute, right? Uh, but I wanted to, like, take this moment to, um, you know, clear the air. Give myself the space to… wipe the slate clean. And also, you know, open up the floor to anyone—press, investors, whoever—who might have, uh, questions. About me. Where I’ve been, what’s next. My time at Waystar. It’s all… on the table. So, uh, fire away. And yeah, listen, we’re here to disrupt, right? That’s what we do. We’re disrupters. Yeah. submitted by /u/Sufficient-Union5903 to r/okbuddysuccession [link] [comments]

Waystar
Our company is considering switching to Waystar from IEDI (the replacement for Change Healthcare). We are currently using ADS Medics Premier for our billing and coding software. Does anybody have experience with using Waystar with MedicsPremier? I'm curious what the learning curve is like and if there are any consistent issues or problems you run into. Or hey, maybe it's all gravy! submitted by /u/Busy_Half2023 to r/CodingandBilling [link] [comments]

Waystar internship
Got an offer as an intern after mass applying. They claim to pay 30/hr but the only interview I had was via text on Microsoft Teams. Has anyone heard of this company? Is it a scam? They want me to sign and provide banking info alongside ID. My gut is telling me this is not true and want to know if this company is reputable at all. submitted by /u/Fr4nco28 to r/csMajors [link] [comments]

What is is Waystar actually worth? Do these numbers make sense?
Speaking as someone with no experience owning major portions of companies, but dabbling in investments in other ventures I don’t understand the numbers thrown around in the show and I’m not sure if it’s because of my lack of knowledge or the show not caring so much. So I’m sure there’s more clues, but I haven’t watched the show through in a while I’ve just recently watched season 3. So we have Josh who owns 4%. He claims he’s lost 10% of that 4% then says “350 million” as the number that he’d like to get back. So it seems his 4% is worth 3.5 billion, though I suppose with his wording he could’ve meant he wants his 10% of 350 million back. That would make Waystar worth around 8.75 billion. Or going by what it seems he said, 87.5 billion. Kendall wants 2 billion to get out and we know each of the kids have percentages allotted between them (as a move by Logan to consolidate power in theory, I imagine.) So we can assume Kendall has a decent chunk, probably quite a bit more than Josh. Logan says he’d be leaving “5 billion” on the table if he doesn’t take the GoJo deal. This is where I start to not understand the value of Waystar. If going with the 8.75 billion estimate, that means Logan owns over 60% of Waystar which just doesn’t seem possible or even legal, I think. But if 10% of Josh’s 4% is 350 million and the companies 87.5 billion, then Josh’s 3.5 billion in total is pretty close to that 5 billion and Logan would only actually own 6-7%? Idk how acquisitions work. Any more business savvy watchers, do the numbers they throw out make sense? I suppose it doesn’t matter if they don’t, I’m just curious. submitted by /u/KrispyKingTheProphet to r/SuccessionTV [link] [comments]

Are Waystar employees overdressed?
This is such a random and unimportant observation, but rewatching season 1 and 2 and I noticed background actors filmed in Waystar office scenes are all super formally dressed in full suits etc., whether if it’s the executive floor (which might make more sense if those are the corporate strategy folks) or other divisions. But even Greg was wearing suits as a lowly new hire in the parks division? Seems a bit unrealistic for media companies these days, even pre-COVID, to be so formal. The whole vibe of the office and the employees make it feel more like a white shoe law firm rather than a Disney or NBCUniversal. submitted by /u/earththejerry to r/SuccessionTV [link] [comments]

Why does Waystar Royco have parks and cruises?
I understand that parks and cruises is a reference to Disney, but Logan himself doesn’t really appear to have a creative/imaginative aspect to him that Walt Disney did. It strikes me as really out of character for him to have developed a series of theme parks and makes me wish that we had more insight into how the business was started and how it grew into new sectors. Has anyone got any theories? submitted by /u/rdwburns to r/SuccessionTV [link] [comments]
