[Reverse Isekai] A Ninja from 1582 encounters Bluetooth. He assumes the wireless signals are mind-probing radiation and uses chopsticks to handle the mouse. (Day 81)
[First](https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/1qkm5z5/reverse_isekai_a_ninja_from_1582_gets_stuck_in/) [Previous](https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/1tjwyhx/reverse_isekai_a_ninja_from_1582_treats_a_usb/) [Royal Road (Read Ahead!)](https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/148519/100-days-to-legend-my-freelance-ninja-roommate) Episode 81: The Wireless Sorcery and the Invisible Tether! The air in Room 302 of the Sunset Harmony fortress vibrated with a dangerous, unseen frequency. I, Hattori Masanari, stood with my back pressed firmly against the sterile, white-tiled wall, my breathing slowed to a whisper. Before me sat the Old Engineer, the ancient warlord known to the nursing staff merely as "Mr. Tanaka." He did not look up from the glowing Luminous Scroll of the "Core"—the massive, black-glass iron beast we had painstakingly constructed from black-market merchant parts. "Hattori," the Demon King commanded, his voice a dry, grating rumble that carried absolute authority. He reached into his beige cardigan and tossed a small, black, pebble-like casing onto the linoleum floor. It skittered and stopped at my feet. "The fans on the Core are too loud. I need to focus on these complex computations. Take these ear-guards. Put them in pairing mode and connect them to the Bluetooth." I stared at the small black casing. I knelt and picked it up. I opened the lid. Inside rested two tiny, black, hook-like objects. There was no cord. No Invisible Silk (Ethernet) to tether them to the source of the magic. "My Lord," I whispered, the blood turning to ice in my veins. "These ear-guards... they have no umbilical cord. How do they receive the sound of the machine?" Tanaka clicked his tongue in annoyance, typing furiously. "They're wireless, you fool. They communicate through the air using Bluetooth." Bluetooth. The Blue Tooth. The name alone carried a terrifying, ancient malice. A mythical demon with a sapphire fang that whispers directly into the minds of its victims, bypassing all physical barriers. It did not require a rope. It did not require proximity. It simply bit the very ether, infecting the air with invisible, telepathic venom. "Telepathy," I breathed, my eyes widening in sheer horror. "The devices... they speak mind-to-mind." "Yeah, sure, whatever. Just pair them." I stood up, holding the small black case as far away from my body as my arm would allow. This was a disaster. If this "Blue Tooth" emitted telepathic waves that could penetrate the skull and deliver sound directly into the brain, it could surely extract information as well. If I stepped into the crossfire of its invisible beams, the memories of the Iga Clan, the hidden troop movements of Lord Ieyasu, and the layout of Edo Castle would be downloaded directly into the Core! The secrets of the Tokugawa would be compromised! My first instinct was survival. I needed a shield. A helm forged of a material capable of reflecting psychic energy. The Aluminum Foil stored in the first-floor kitchen would have been perfect. I could have fashioned a protective dome to guard my cerebrum. But if I abandoned my post to sprint to the kitchens, the Demon King might be bitten by the telepathic fangs in my absence. There was no time to forge a physical ward. I had to rely solely on the ancient arts of my ancestors to dodge the invisible waves with my bare flesh. I closed my eyes. I focused my chakra, gathering it at the base of my spine and forcing it upward, sealing the gates of my mind. "Muga-no-Kyō," I chanted silently. The State of No-Mind. I emptied my consciousness of all tactical data. I thought only of a single, floating cherry blossom. If the Blue Tooth tried to bite my thoughts, it would taste only the void. "Hattori, what are you waiting for?" Tanaka snapped. "Press the button on the back of the case until it blinks." I took a deep breath. I extended my index finger and pressed the tiny, hidden rune on the black shell. Instantly, a small light on the front of the case ignited. It flashed. Blue. White. Blue. White. Ping... Ping... Ping... I gasped, leaping backward. The beast was awake! It was casting its net! Though my eyes could not see the telepathic waves, my heightened shinobi instincts felt them. With every flash of the blue light, an invisible, expanding sphere of psychic energy pulsed outward, searching for a host to infect. "It is hunting!" I hissed. "It's in pairing mode. Now go to the desktop and click 'Add Device'," Tanaka said, completely oblivious to the lethal radiation filling the room. The situation had escalated to a terrifying extreme. I was holding the transmitter in my left hand. The receiver—the Core—was on the desk, five paces away. To pair them, I had to bring them into close proximity, right into the epicenter where their telepathic waves would collide and intertwine. It was a corridor of death. "I shall not yield my soul to the Sapphire Fang!" I dropped my center of gravity. Flash. A wave of invisible Bluetooth energy washed toward me. "Sori-mi!" I planted my feet and bent my upper body backward at a severe, impossible angle, my spine curving like a strung bow. The invisible psychic ripple passed harmlessly over my chest. I snapped back upright and lunged forward, executing a flawless Shukuchi sliding dash. I closed half the distance to the desk. Flash. Another pulse! This one aimed low! I vaulted into the air—Hicho-jutsu! The Leaping Bird! I cleared the invisible ground-level frequency, tucking my knees to my chest. I landed silently on the edge of Lord Tanaka's bed, using it as a springboard. Tanaka slowly stopped typing. He turned his wheelchair slightly, his expression utterly flat, as he watched a full-grown man in nursing scrubs perform a series of frantic, high-speed acrobatic evasions against absolutely nothing. "What in the name of God are you doing?" the Old Engineer asked, his voice dripping with profound exhaustion. "I am navigating the crossfire, My Lord!" I gritted out, currently hanging sideways from the heavy curtain rod above the window by one arm, keeping the flashing ear-guards extended as far from my brain as possible. "The telepathic field is dense! The Blue Tooth seeks to penetrate my temporal lobe!" "It's a Class 2 Bluetooth radio. It has a range of ten meters. You're literally bathing in it right now." "NANI?!" (What?!) My eyes bulged. The entire room was already saturated?! The Genjutsu was absolute! There was no time for further evasion. I had to seal the pact before my mind was entirely overwritten! I dropped from the curtain rod, hitting the linoleum with a heavy thud. I sprinted the final two paces to the desk, slamming the black case down next to the glowing Core. Now, the final hurdle. The mechanical mouse. If I touched the mouse with my bare hand while the telepathic link was being forged, the resulting surge of wireless sorcery would surely travel up my arm and fry my nervous system. I reached into the hidden pocket of my slacks and withdrew a pair of wooden disposable chopsticks I had saved from lunch. Wood is an insulator against lightning; it would surely block the Blue Tooth. I held the chopsticks with a flawless, tight grip. With the precision of a surgeon, I pinched the plastic shell of the mouse between the wooden sticks. I dragged the ethereal pointer across the Luminous Scroll. Click. 'Settings'. Click. 'Bluetooth & Devices'. Click. 'Add Device'. The screen displayed a spinning wheel of runes. It was searching. The tension in the room was suffocating. I held my breath, sweating profusely under my polo shirt. Suddenly, text appeared: `[ WH-1000XM4 Audio ]`. "The True Name of the Beast!" I roared. With a final, desperate thrust of the chopsticks, I depressed the left mouse button. CLICK! A melodic chime echoed from the Core. The flashing blue light on the ear-guard case suddenly stopped, settling into a solid, unmoving glow. The chaotic, invisible waves of psychic energy instantly vanished. The oppressive aura lifted. The room felt quiet once more. "The pact... is sealed," I gasped, collapsing onto my hands and knees on the floor, panting heavily. My chest heaves. I had survived the mental barrage. The secrets of Edo were safe. Tanaka casually reached over, picked up the earbuds, and placed them into his ears. He tapped his keyboard. A faint, muffled beat of classical symphonic music leaked from the devices. He closed his eyes, ignoring me completely. The mission was a success. --- "Aoi-dono!" I declared, sliding the apartment door shut behind me and locking the deadbolt. Aoi was sitting at the low table, aggressively highlighting a passage in a textbook labeled 'Macroeconomics'. She wore her glasses and an aura of supreme irritability. "The telepathic link has been forged!" I announced, dropping to one knee in the genkan and presenting my daily report. "The Blue Tooth has been tamed!" She didn't look up. "Great. So Tanaka can listen to his podcasts in peace?" "It was a battle for my very soul!" I protested, standing up and removing my shoes. "The beast emitted invisible pulses of mind-reading radiation! Because I lacked the time to forge a helm of Aluminum Foil, I was forced to engage the State of No-Mind while performing a series of mid-air contortions to dodge the psychic waves!" Aoi finally stopped highlighting. She slowly lowered her marker, removing her glasses with a heavy sigh. "It's just pairing wireless headphones, Masa," she said, her voice entirely devoid of joy. "Please don't wear aluminum foil in the nursing home, Director Toudou will actually institutionalize you." Institutionalization. The Ultimate Dungeon. A place where warriors are stripped of their shozoku and fed mind-numbing elixirs until they forget how to hold a blade. What a terrifying warning. "Besides," she continued, her tone deadpan. "Bluetooth is a 2.4 Gigahertz short-range radio frequency protocol. It doesn't read your mind. It transmits audio packets." "Radio waves?!" I crossed my arms, scoffing at her naivety. "Do not be deceived by the merchant's lies, Aoi! If it can travel through the air without an Invisible Silk tether, it is witchcraft! I was forced to manipulate the mechanical mouse using wooden chopsticks just to insulate my flesh from the data transfer!" Aoi rubbed the bridge of her nose. "You used my good wooden chopsticks on a computer mouse?" "Only as a necessary martial implement!" "You look like an idiot," she groaned, leaning back on her hands. "If Director Toudou catches you doing gymnastics in a patient's room, you're going to get fired. And if you get fired, who is going to pay for the electric bill? Your invisible telepathic demons?" I bowed deeply, accepting her harsh, pragmatic wisdom. "I shall refine my evasive maneuvers so they are undetectable to the civilian eye, My Liege. But mark my words... the wireless era is a realm of phantoms." The modern world was terrifyingly eager to sever its physical tethers, embracing the dark arts of the unseen. But as long as I possessed my chopsticks and my reflexes, I would not be conquered by the air itself. --- Masanari’s Cultural Notes (Glossary): Bluetooth (The Sapphire Fang):\* A dark telepathic sorcery used to link machines without the honorable use of an Ethernet cable. It saturates the air with invisible, mind-probing radiation. Avoid at all costs, or risk having your tactical memories stolen. Muga-no-Kyō (State of No-Mind): A meditative state that empties the consciousness. Highly effective for entering a flow-state in combat; theoretically effective for preventing modern electronics from downloading your thoughts. Sori-mi (The Backward Evasion): The martial art of bending the upper torso backward at a severe angle to dodge horizontal strikes. Also known to modern civilians as "dodging imaginary lasers like you're in The Matrix." --- Next Episode Preview: Episode 82: The Digital Plague and the Antivirus Exorcism! Next Time: Masanari attempts to physically cleanse a hard drive of malware using purification salt and sacred sake! --- Author's Note Thank you for reading Day 81! I hope you enjoyed Masanari treating a simple Bluetooth pairing like a life-or-death matrix dodgeball game. Honestly, considering how frustrating Bluetooth can be sometimes, his reaction might not be that exaggerated. Next time, we tackle the classic "Trojan Horse" virus. Will Masanari's purification salt and sacred sake work against malware? Probably not, but it's going to be a disaster for poor Aoi's stress levels (and possibly the computer's hard drive). If you are enjoying Masanari's absurd daily struggles, please consider dropping a follow, leaving a rating/review, or just sharing your thoughts in the comments! It really helps the story grow and fuels my motivation. Most "safe" kids headphones miss the biggest risk: wireless radiation to developing brains
Parents obsess over volume limits on kids' headphones. 74 dB, 85 dB, built-in limiters. But they're missing a much bigger concern that has nothing to do with hearing damage. Bluetooth headphones beam microwave radiation directly into children's developing skulls. The same 2.4 GHz frequency your microwave oven uses to heat food, just at lower power levels. Here's what that means for brain development. Children's skulls are thinner and their brain tissue contains more water than adults. This makes them absorb significantly more electromagnetic energy from wireless devices. A study published in Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine found that children absorb 2-5 times more radiation in their brain tissue compared to adults using the same device. The developing brain is particularly vulnerable because it's rapidly forming new neural connections and the blood-brain barrier isn't fully mature until around age 12. Some research suggests chronic EMF exposure may interfere with this critical development process. Most parents don't realize that "safe volume" headphones can still expose kids to hours of wireless radiation during long car rides, flights, or gaming sessions. The radiation exposure is cumulative and happens whether the volume is at 50 dB or 85 dB. The solution isn't complicated. Wired headphones eliminate the radiation source entirely while still providing volume protection if that's a concern. Air tube headphones go a step further by using hollow tubes for the final sound delivery, keeping all electronics away from the head. Some parents worry about tangled wires, but that's a small trade-off for removing a direct radiation source from your child's developing brain. The irony is that the "safety" marketing around wireless kids' headphones focuses on the least harmful aspect while ignoring the most concerning one. submitted by /u/ShieldYourBody to r/shieldyourbodyfromemf [link] [comments]

IsItBullshit: Many doctors now believe thyroid problems can come from Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular radio, other RF sources (including microwave range), and even incidental radiation from processors or power lines
The research appears shaky: Correlation studies, likely a big amount of recall bias, and even possibilities of confounding variables (perhaps natal women being less likely to use wired headphones, more likely to use phones over computers, less likely to own a desktop PC... and more likely to have thyroid issues to begin with). Or maybe they looked up the symptoms of a minor thyroid tumor, hypo/hyperthyroidism, etc., being more exposed to the Internet in general, and were more likely to specifically ask their doctors about it? Who knows. I will say: If you follow the maxim of only listening to your doctor, we'd have two worlds. We'd have a world of some doctors taking caution about RF causing harm, "banning" their patients from heavy wireless device use, or perhaps any device when you take incidental fields into account. Whereas other patients, with doctors who have reasons to be skeptical of the studies, will be allowed to play away. If the anti-radiation doctors are right, the patients who indulged will suffer more. If the pro-radiation doctors are right, people would give up beloved hobbies, or perhaps buy desktop computers they don't want if they don't want them. (Imagine a life defined by books, "entertaining"/manner practice, and living in a yellow-tinted home with lots of space that's taboo to use!) Imagine if you're told to avoid turning on/off light switches too much (you can hear the pulses with a Soma Ether), wash dishes and clothes by hand (the motors also produce wideband EM radiation), etc., for your thyroid! Retro gamers' skills atrophying, programmers scared of side projects, and electronic musicians now dealing with heavy piano keys that can't be played past noise curfew! ... if the study turns out to be a nothing burger! And the kids who NEED typing accommodations for a disability... will feel bad that they probably gave some classmate a thyroid problem, assuming they were the only one with a laptop out... if the study applies! submitted by /u/Superb-Climate3698 to r/IsItBullshit [link] [comments]

Why does my microwave not allow harmful radiation out, but still interferes with my bluetooth headphones?
It's well-known that microwaves can interfere with devices such as anything using Bluetooth devices, WiFi, cordless phones etc. But that mesh on the front of the microwave door is supposed to prevent microwaves from leaving the device. So how can the interference happen? I was microwaving food while wearing my bluetooth headphones listening to something, and the audio started cutting out. It led me to wonder -- which is true? Or am I missing something and both things are true? submitted by /u/Disabled-Lobster to r/NoStupidQuestions [link] [comments]

Why Air Tube Headphones Are Safer Than Regular or Bluetooth
Most headphones — whether wired or Bluetooth — bring EMF right up to your head. The wires or wireless signal carry radiation straight into the earpiece that sits in your ear canal. Air Tube Headphones work differently: No EMF at the ear → The last few inches are hollow air tubes. Sound travels as air vibrations, not electrical signals. Radiation source kept away → The speaker and wiring sit farther down, away from your head and brain. Less magnetic field exposure → No metal coils or drivers directly in your ear. Still hands-free → You can keep your phone out of your hand and away from your body during calls. They’re not a magic shield — your phone still emits radiation. But air tube headphones cut out one of the biggest direct pathways: wires or Bluetooth right into your head. I need wired over-ear ANC headphones with NO Bluetooth capability!
Looking for a pair of quality noise cancelling over-ear 3.5m wired headphones but its tough to find in 2025, Don't want any Bluetooth emf radiation on my head (who would). Also Bluetooth models with 3.5 option have been found to still have Bluetooth transmitting through your skull even when 3.5 is in use and BT switched off, trash! Hard to find even old/new models that fit my needs. So far I've found only 3 pairs: Bose QC 25 (new ones cost $325) way over priced, 2014 pretty old Denon AH-GC25NC - poor sound quality reviews Sony MDR ZX110 - cheap trash My favorite brands are Bose, Sennheiser, Sony, but willing to try others. Budget $300. If you know any alternatives from good brands please let me know. submitted by /u/BigJay2016 to r/HeadphoneAdvice [link] [comments]

I broke my old headphones, I am looking for a new pair that have good bass but does not have bluetooth.
$10-$100 from BestBuy, staples, Walmart, or any online store. I like using my headphones for gaming on pc, calls, on the go, and especially studying. I am more focused on bass and midrange I used Corsair HS65 (which top part cracked and broke due to it being extended(it did crack because I stretched them out when it was cold outside. It cracked due to the temperature being -11 C. They lasted 8 months until it broke in half due to the crack.)), this had great padding but I was still able to hear outside noise. One problem is that it was not putting enough pressure around the ear (this is important because I want to hear all the notes from bass to the higher pitch notes). It is nice to hear the high notes but the midrange and the bass seemed too quite for me. The good thing is that it had an auxiliary and I was able to control the volume. Bluetooth does use microwaves, and since I use it way too often I do not need that much radiation. I am ok with a bad microphone submitted by /u/T600skynet to r/HeadphoneAdvice [link] [comments]

Can Bluetooth headphones cause cancer if used for long periods of time?
So I get that Bluetooth -probably- doesn't cause cancer, but from my understanding it would be impossible to provide undeniable proof that it's safe, due to the fact that we would need to have a proper control group for a long enough time (10+ years) to safely conclude that is doesn't increase the chance of getting cancer. I also get that Bluetooth, using 2.4Ghz, is essentially the same as WiFi, so if I'm afraid of Bluetooth, I might as well throw my phone, WiFi router and all digital products to the garbage. (And also stay away from the sun lol) The difference, however, is that I wear my Bluetooth headphones on my head for +6 hours a day. My smartphone is not at such close proximity to my head for such long times. My question is, assuming Bluetooth/WiFi were to increase the likelihood of cancer, how big of a factor would the proximity to the device be? Would connecting my headphones to my smartphone via a 0.5m aux cable make a difference because now I don't have a Bluetooth device sitting on my head? Or would I be fucked anyway just because my smartphone is in the room? I get that this is an hypothetical question, and that there probably are no researches that can lead to a conclusive answer. But my knowledge in how radiation behaves is practically nonexistent, so I thought I'd ask and see what people who know more than me say. submitted by /u/SnooMemesjellies8458 to r/NoStupidQuestions [link] [comments]

CMV: Bluetooth headphones are a health risk
I've held out using Bluetooth headphones out of fear that it will increase my risk of cancer years down the road. Finally I have a cell phone that has no jack, so I never use it for music. The thing is I really want to bring it to the gym and stream. Bluetooth is said to have lower radiation than cellphones. I totally believe this to be true. In fact, I put my phone on speaker instead of holding it to my head whenever possible to avoid such close exposure. I try to keep it in my pocket at a minimum and leave it a few feet from me when not in use. Despite the lower radiation of Bluetooth, pressing it against your head should expose you to strong radiation as distance dissipates the strength exponentially. Please help me understand if I'm wrong and free me up to buy a pair. I have taken college a undergrad physics series, so even though I'm no expert I should be able to understand scientific reasoning and jargon. Edit 1 - people are requesting what articles I'm seeing and mentioning the difference in types of radiation. Well the first search on non ionizing radiation causing cancer is found is one saying it does: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27903411/ Edit 2 - here's one showing cell phones did increase cancer after 10 years of use. I'm not seeing much info on Bluetooth, but it's a similar radiation type. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21659469/ submitted by /u/luigijerk to r/changemyview [link] [comments]

Hello Bluetooth experts. I know this is gonna sound ridiculous but I’ve been told by my family members to not use Bluetooth headphones because Bluetooth causes radiation. I asked for some noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones for my birthday but instead received some cheap plug in Sony headphones because of their out of wack view on Bluetooth. Are Bluetooth headsets and headphones really unsafe for use?
Some claims circulating on the internet, researched by experts suggest that Bluetooth headsets and tiny headphones may pump radiation in the brain and potentially cause cancer, which can be concerning. Experts also debate that since headphones are usually placed close, deep in the ear, vital tissues are exposed to higher-level radio frequencies. Class 1: With a transmission power of 100 mW (milliwatts), this is the strongest class. Class 1 devices can establish connections of up to 100 m in the open air, which is why this technology is used in industry, for example. Class 2: The transmitting power of Class 2 is a maximum of 2.5 mW, which enables connections with ranges of up to 40 m outdoors. Indoors, the maximum range is 10 m. Class 2 components are used in notebooks, PCs and Bluetooth headphones, for example. Class 3: Class 3 devices have the lowest transmitting power (1 mW). The maximum range outdoors is 10 m, indoors 1-10 m. Due to the lower radiation levels, class 3 components are used in headsets, headphones and wearables. The good news is that the SAR values of Bluetooth headsets, for example, are significantly lower on average than those of cell phones. So it definitely makes sense to use a Bluetooth headset when talking on a cell phone. While the SAR value of a cell phone is about 0.5 - 2.0 W/kg, the SAR value of a headset is only about 0.001 - 0.003 watts per kilogram (class 3 devices). submitted by /u/test_user2611 to r/RandomWiki [link] [comments]

Are electromagnetic radiations from mobile devices and Bluetooth carcinogenic?
Following the recent news that a government regulatory body in France has banned the sale of iPhone 12 due to an excess in electromagnetic radiation emissions (the limit is 4W/kg and the iPhone measured 5.7W/kg), I have been searching various sources and there is no conclusive answer on whether the radiation from phones and Bluetooth can cause cancer. Due to my job, I use two mobiles and spend 12-14 hours a day using AirPods (there are researchers who claim that AirPods could also potentially cause cancer) and noise-canceling Bluetooth headphones. Additionally, I was thinking of getting an Apple Watch to control mi health parameters. Because of this, I'm not sure if I should seek more sources on the risks of using these devices. Any opinions on this? submitted by /u/Connect-Tea-9097 to r/blueprint_ [link] [comments]

Are Bluetooth headphones harmful or safe? Here's some truth to this controversy
An increasing number of people keep asking questions like "are bluetooth headphones harmful?" and "are wireless headphones dangerous?" This is a controversial subject, in which people are very attached to their wireless headphones and often take the view that their acquisition is not detrimental to them. Anyway, I thought it would be helpful to share my perspective on this topic. After all, most of us use headphones for everyday listening, don't we? Like, is Bluetooth bad for your brain or something? And how about AirPods? Are AirPods bad for your brain too? To begin with, let me say that there's no sign of Bluetooth causing cancer or anything like that. Sure, it's a type of radiation, but it's non-ionizing, which means it doesn't have enough energy to knock electrons off atoms and create the kind of damage that leads to an increased cancer risk. So, you can probably chill on that front. As for the whole "are bluetooth headphones bad for your brain" thing, I think it's mostly just people being paranoid. I mean, sure, you might lose your hearing by the time you suffer cognitive effects from using them, but that's more about the volume than the Bluetooth itself. And let's be real, if you're cranking your tunes that loud, you've got bigger problems to worry about. Hell, if you drink a bottle of whisky a week or smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, the question of whether radiation from Bluetooth headphones causes cancer is probably the least of your worries. On the other hand, if you're health guru that strives to eliminate all potential risks from your life, stay away from Bluetooth or wireless headphones. While Bluetooth headphones don't cause cancer, they're not entirely harmless. The radiation emitted by Bluetooth devices is measured in 10 - 100 mW (milliwatts) which over many years with several hours of everyday use, can have some health effects. Every Reddit and forum thread will have some people cmomenting "No, it's non-ionizing. My Bluetooth headphones are not harmful!" I get it, the radiation is low, usage is moderate, and the most of the scientific community claims that non-ionizing radiation is harmless and all that. But headphones come extremely close to your body, and plenty of research has proven that long-term exposure to low-level radiation can have negative effects on human health. Here's a few resources: - A 2010 study in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health found increased behavioral problems in children with prenatal and postnatal cell phone exposure. - A 2015 study in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health discovered higher glycated hemoglobin levels and type 2 diabetes risk in students exposed to higher RF EMF. - A 2018 study in the American Journal of Men's Health revealed delayed motor skills, spatial working memory, and attention in adolescents exposed to higher RF EMF levels. Now, I will say that wired headphones are safer than wireless headphones in terms of radiation exposure. While wireless headphones might not be the healthiest option, they're not exactly dangerous or detrimental to your quality of life either, especially if used in moderation. Bottom line, I do think Bluetooth headphones are terrible in terms of both quality and health. I mean, you're basically trading convenience for a worse listening experience and a tiny bit of radiation exposure. Neuralink's Matthew MacDougall on bluetooth headphones, from Huberman Lab: "I think the energy levels involved are so tiny that, ionizing radiation aside, we're way out of the realm of ionizing radiation that people would worry about tumor-causing EMF fields."

If I avoid Bluetooth radiation, I guess that means psvr2 won’t be for me correct? Kinda sucks.
I’m enjoying the psvr1 and don’t find the wires that cumbersome but I can see how it would bother some people who prefer to be untethered. I make it a habit in life not to keep my cell phone close to my body, use speaker whenever possible etc, don’t use Bluetooth headphones. Am I just outta luck with this iteration then? I wonder how much radiation the device emits? submitted by /u/intromission76 to r/PSVR [link] [comments]
