I've been to every country in South East Asia and I think Filipinos are the most hygienic
Particularly in food prep. Watching the 35 pesos buy 1 get 1 burger lady prepare burgers from start to finish not only without her disposable gloved hands ever touching any of the food, but also without her touching anything that touches the food in this fascinating juggling of a tong (never knew tongs could do so much), patties, buns, dispensers, toppings, knife, wrappers and finally, plastic bag...I realize that this is quite the anomalous prerogative in South East Asia. In every other South East Asian country (except for Singapore MAYBE and Brunei, which is similar to the Philippines), your food right before it's handed to you has, more often than not, been anointed with, at bare minimum, skin cells and money dust. In Vietnam it's common for your food to be handled bare hands by the same never washed hands that handle money and body fluids...aaachoo, cough, cough, scrrrt, scrrrt psssss... It's also very common for the chopsticks to be shared and never washed. They are just wiped between customers, by the customers themselves. In Indonesia it's very common for your utensils and plates to have been washed soap free from only being dunked in a bucket of water that's never changed all day, and your table wiped with the mop. In Thailand it's the cockroaches and pests on prep areas crawling over cutting boards, customers utensils, woks, and raw ingredients. And it's topped off by meats just sitting out there in the sun all day, uncovered absorbing all the vehicle fumes and nourishing all the flies in the neighborhood. This is even common in nicer restaurants and mall food courts like Terminal 21 in Bangkok where the utensils bucket will always be swarming with roaches. In Malaysia you'll be hard pressed not frequently seeing cockroaches, rats, and many flies in or near mamaks, kopitiams and hawker stalls...grimey floors, food scraps on the ground, and garbage or open drains in close proximity to where you eat. In Laos your food is guaranteed to have had been handled with bare hands that are never washed the entire shift and never seen the inside of gloves...that the same hands to handle money...that no food you'd buy be covered...and that flies would have sampled your food before you. Cambodia is remarkably clean compared to its counterparts. I've spent a lot of time between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap and I don't remember not one time anything ever standing out unhygienically. But at the same time, I also can't remember anytime anything ever standing out hygienically. I guess unless you're actively trying to notice, you won't notice. Disposable gloves are definitely common and your food is also commonly not touched bare handed. Work stations are fairly clean, relatively. No visible trash, pests near food...etc. And food is almost always cooked fresh, so no food being left out. I'd place Cambodia right after the Philippines to be honest. Similar but definitely more noticeable oddities in the sense that people "generally" go a tad bit extra in the Philippines. There is however much more visible abject poverty in the Philippines, yet despite that, hygiene is maintained at a standard that is higher than the relative direness. So in a weird twist, instead of this point making the Philippines rank lower, it does the contrary when you compare it pound for pound (ONLY with Cambodia) just to break the tie. In Myanmar it's a hit and miss. Older folks will mostly not use gloves to handle your food...noodles scooped onto plates and toppings sprinkled on with bare hands wouldn't be a difficult sight to see. Younger folks, however, I've always seen wearing gloves. But my god is the food good! 🤤. I think Myanmar has the best food in South East Asia to be honest. There are just so many options, so many flavors and the street food life so robust. It's something you'll notice right away if you're coming to the Philippines immediately from having spent time around the other South East Asian countries. Filipinos are definitely, relatively, cleaner. I don't remember ever seeing people eating with disposable gloves anywhere else. In no other country have I seen food being served in a plate through a plastic bag. I don't think there is any country in the world at the same socioeconomic level as the Philippines that's more hygienic, from my experience. Love that about this place. submitted by /u/IntellectuallyDriven to r/Philippines_Expats [link] [comments]

Smash burgers? Cast iron press sticks to meat
Every time I try to do a smash burger, my press (I normally use for bacon) sticks to the meat and just causes a mess. I've tried to oil it and it's seasoned properly. What makes the press not stick when pressing the meat? Am I just maybe using too much meat? Or maybe the wrong meat? I do 80/20 and can never seem to get it right. submitted by /u/Capable-Dust-3148 to r/AskCulinary [link] [comments]

Always Grab the Customer Receipt Copy!!
Be sure to always grab the customer receipt copy, waiter decided to give himself a $180 tip on a $93 dollar meal. Took a month of bouncing around corporate (major hotel chain) to fix this. Conveniently they “lost” the restaurant copy too. Finally found the hotel general manager on LinkedIn and threatened to press charges, they quickly refunded the meal. submitted by /u/Neither-Trip-4610 to r/EndTipping [link] [comments]

"You're on the same site as the rest of us. You are in no way "above it all," so stop pretending you're somehow better than the platform you regularly use." Trump supporters invade r/videos to fight against the accusations that Trump shit himself on camera
Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/1qstu0i/trump_audibly_shits_himself_on_tv_immediately/ HIGHLIGHTS Another false narrative being pushed by Reddit Its just people posting stuff man. I didn’t hear it either They will dig at anything won’t they Just like at the military parade they took screenshots of him blinking and were saying he was asleep Or when he wasn’t seen for 3 days and they said he had a heart attack or stroke They will literally ran their head into a brick wall to try and find anything to grasp at You’re defending ice on asmongold sub. Your opinion is worthless Defending the work of a government agency cleaning up a country….. Defending the work of removing illegal overstays and people who have committed multiple immigration violations…Shocking I know right, some people just want a safe and normal society AND WE ARE ON THE ROAD TO IT 👊🏽 You live in New Zealand. You have no stake here. Worry about your own country. Weird ass MAGA wannabe. Bruh I regularly travel to the USA for my line of work Last year I paid 380k to the USA IRS for income I earned while in the USA I hold a O-1B Visa I provide more value to the USA than a majority of its own citizens “And I have an IQ in the 200’s” The best part is, it will be on the Internet forever He will say it's fake AI You guys have such a low bar for someone shitting themselves apparently, how do you know that noise is even trump? Insane Obligitory trump is a cunt before you say i support him I've seen two versions of this video with different sounds and this channel is unaffiliated with Forbes. Fuck Trump, but everyone seems to be eating up a fake video because it's what they want to believe. Vice president said it's okay to lie to prove a point. I'm good spreading this one around. It's not really proving a point though, just making everyone look ridiculous and hurting credibility of people on the left. I'm not above making fun of Trump and his circus, but I am above stooping to their level of media illiteracy and believing everything I see online Thank you Irritable Bowels John, for your concern about The People On The Left™ who take their singular monolithic brand name very seriously. They would not want to damage their credibility with the Irritable Bowels community. I'll raise your concerns with those in The Left™ management ASAP. Please enjoy the rest of your stay here in Credible LeftLand©, where we are always welcoming to those with IBS farts OMG HE SHIT HIMSELF If your farts sound like that I can't imagine what your underwear looks like at the end of the day. This just in. Farts can sound different and it doesn't mean you shit yourself. Is everyone in this thread delusional? This is reddit my dude. Delusion is a feature. It cracks me up when people say shit like this, like you're somehow above it all despite being right down here in the weeds with the rest of us. Just because a majority of reddit users are willing to take a headline like this at face value based on such incredibly flimsy evidence, doesn’t mean that those who call it out are in the same boat. You're on the same site as the rest of us. You are in no way "above it all," so stop pretending you're somehow better than the platform you regularly use. Oh no, we’re on the same site! That must make us exactly the same! Your logic is astounding. Being part of a group doesn’t mean that any criticism that you might have of the group as a whole is automatically invalid. This is a nothing-burger 🤦🏿♀️ He literally shat himself. The President of the United States shit his pants in the Oval Office. You're just gonna pretend that's fine? Prove it. We had to listen to "Dimentia Joe" for years without any proof. Party of hypocrites on the right. "We had to listen to "Dimentia Joe" for years without any proof." No proof eh? The dem base refused to believe it until the DNC basically forced him to resign 3 months out from the election... and installed kamala as nominee without a vote. That's not proof. You cannot diagnose Dimentia from a distance. My father died almost a year ago from Dimentia. There are hundreds of diagnoses that could be made to characterize the degeneration of Biden, or any aging person for that matter, outside of Dimentia; just like you can do... for Trump. Which is why I bring up the hypocrisy. To continuously make the claim Biden has Dimentia without definitive proof is a sign of low intelligence. "To continuously make the claim Biden has Dimentia without definitive proof is a sign of low intelligence. " People told yall biden wasnt well for years... and his first live unedited appearance since the 2020 election was proof enough to send the entire DNC into panic mode. The left has lost all credibility to accurately recognize dementia... after attacking everyone who mentioned Biden's mental issues for years until the entire country saw just how bad it was on live TV. Hell, just look at this entire post. A potential fart sound in a room full of people has yall foaming at the mouth claiming it was Trump and that it wasn't just a fart. It's insane. Sorry, but I don't hear it. Granted I was skipping around so I didn't have to hear him speak. EDIT: I just listened to the whole thing with my eyes closed. Nothing happens. A bunch of dorks trying to get in a photo op say some shit that Trump couldn't possibly understand, and not one cares about. EDIT EDIT: Okay there is something at 34 seconds, but it could be a creaking chair or other noise. The clip has some noise. Could just be a buzz. It's certainly not the Epstein Files. Maybe it's time to get your ears checked. It's not loud or anything but there is a sound that sounds like a shart. You hear a slight zipper sound which could be anything....you need to check yourself for TDS and low IQ at the nearest psych ward I don't like Trump but Trump derangement syndrome is real. Yeah just look how mindless his supporters act. Yeah, you're right. There are definitely Trump die hards who support and praise every single thing that he does no matter what it is. But there are even more people who are so filled with hate and rage towards the man, they can't even think straight. They just react emotionally when it comes to anything to do with Trump or his administration. I don't know about the "even more" part. If the real TDS wasn't among his supporters, there's no way this man would be the president. At the very least there would be a hearing scheduled around the credible accusations of child r*pe that have been released. I can't think of a more heinous example of cult of personality than excusing the r#pe of children by dear leader. What the actual f***. Watching this as a European is horrifying. This is a guy, who threatens us and half of Yanks voted him in. Watching someone make a fart noise is horrifying for you? Get a grip More like watching demented grandpa play at world leader. Did you say the same thing when Biden was president? dude slept most of the time, did not bothher me one bit. Its the shart deal dude sabre rattling all the time thats disturbing. Listen I get it, you hate Trump and there’s nothing good he can ever do that you’ll even give him an ounce of credit for. But having him consume your soul like this is unhealthy. Stop making huge deals out of nothing. Stop turning his farts into something horrific. You live in Europe go outside and enjoy your country "Faint noise on audio happens, must be definitive evidence of him soiling himself". When people jump to conclusions like this, it deligitimises everything else they say. And no, I'm not a Trump supporter or a MAGA person. I'm not even American, but an objective viewer of both sides constantly fuelling divide. Not for the good of their country, economy or political ideation. For clicks and karma. Shame. I was thinking the same thing, can't really work out if people are joking or they really believe he just shits himself randomly. Like, come on guys, he doesn't do that at all. I hate the guy and believe he's a terrible person but... come on The new "don't call them nazis". Edit: What follows Is a bunch of people concern trolling, then blocking after they get a "last word" because they can't back up their points. :O Before I take your comment the wrong way, could you elaborate? Sarcastic comment on tone policing. Moving on from "Don't call Trump (or others) a nazi" to "Don't say Trump shits himself". The idea being - I'll just go ahead and say both, thanks. Making unsubstantiated claims weakens your credibility. It can look childish and harm your ability to convince others. And these are substantiated. You don't want this smoke, my dude. You're about to disagree with the reality of the Trump administration sending an army of dudes in brown shirts out to hassle and detain people based on their heritage. A dude who constantly has people on camera making disgusted faces if, and only if, they're standing right behind him. Reconsider your choices, here. I know there's an innate need to "erm actually" but the dude is a pants-shitting goose-stepper. (13 more comments of these two arguing) Isn't it a bit harsh to be dogging on the guy for what I assume is a medical condition he has no control over? There's plenty of other things to dog on him for, but for something like this? It kind of makes me think about how Vance gets shit for wearing eyeliner. He's an absolute cunt in his own right, but at least he's living his own truth. Edit: being reminded of him mocking a disabled reporter, yeah, no, it is deserved. Edit2: don't confuse this for support of the cunt, more like a cognitive dissonance of it being generally accepted to attack someone for something they can't control. When you take into account how often he does exactly that, it does feel wholly justified. The world's an awful place, and even more so for having him in it. It just feels shit to play the same game he's playing. "mocking a disabled reporter" false https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/new-york-times-slams-donald-trump-after-he-appears-mock-n470016 https://www.thewrap.com/trevor-noah-breaks-down-trumps-awkward-new-hand-gestures-on-the-daily-show-video/, https://slate.com/human-interest/2015/10/donald-trump-s-hand-gestures-a-guide-video.html lol k Russia bot https://youtu.be/qL9mDIMG1uA?si=PHb0vmU4VBoa2YSH Oh damn, I thought the noise was actually added on the first clip I saw. But Forbes is trustworthy enough for me to beleive they haven't edited it in. Thats crazy... I mean it could also just be someone else in the room farting but still, funny. I saw a clip the other day where they were very clearly fake fart noises. This sounds more realistic, but I've got to wonder how this would stay under wraps for a few days if it were real. Edit: Hate to have to be that guy, but this channel doesn't appear to be affiliated with Forbes and there's no mention of this on any credible news outlets. You don’t think the channel with 5 million subs called Forbes breaking news has any relation to Forbes? They even have links to the main Forbes channel in their about section. Anyone can make a link on their YouTube channel and I've found people saying that this isn't actually affiliated with Forbes. There's also the whole issue that this seemingly flew under the radar for 2 days, that there are multiple versions going around with different sound effects added, and the fact that literally no credible news outlets has so much as mentioned this. My apologies for being skeptical "the fact that literally no credible news outlets has so much as mentioned this." In fairness, I don't expect the NYT or The Economist to report "Trump Shits Himself" "Anyone can make a link on their YouTube channel and I've found people saying that this isn't actually affiliated with Forbes." It's really not that simple to do it credibly. Also, what's with reddit claiming "I've found people saying X" like that's supposed to mean anything? Just because you saw a few other people in your bubble saying something you agree with doesn't make it true. Look at the channel: started in 2017, over five million subscribers, with links to their other channels. Don't be fucking dense Imagine the reaction from the right if Biden did this. You guys spent years claiming that Biden's very obvious signs of dementia were "just a stutter." Biden and the left took the high-road when Biden stepped down. The right became hypocrites when they elected another geriatric that had held the risk of degeneration. That's it. The high road? You guys lied about it for years and only abandoned the plan when the debate exposed how far gone Biden really was. And even after that debate, Reddit was STILL trying to claim he was fine and that his debate performance was the result of a cold. And you guys STILL won't admit the lie. Watch. You won't even admit it now. WHY DID BIDEN WITHDRAW FROM THE RACE? What was wrong with him? You won't say. You say "You guys" like I am on one side or the other. I am on neither side. I just point out hypocrisy when I see it. Till this day, there is still no definitive proof or health records made public that outlines a positive diagnosis of Dimentia for Biden. "And you guys STILL won't admit the lie. Watch. You won't even admit it now." What lie? That Biden was slowing because he's old? We can say that about Trump, RFK, multiple SC Justices (which the oldest ones in their 70s are mostly Conservative). Everyone slows down when they age. It's why Republicans were hypocrites for calling Biden "Dimentia Joe" while simultaneously voting for a geriatric Trump. "What was wrong with him? You won't say." I don't know. Outside of slowing down due to old age - who knows? You're the one claiming there was a big "lie". So provide the evidence if you make the claim. "What lie? That Biden was slowing because he's old?" That Biden had very obvious signs of dementia for years that you guys lied about and claimed was a stutter. "So provide the evidence if you make the claim." Lol. Fucking told you. You guys STILL won't admit that Biden had very obvious and very serious signs of dementia. They literally fucking hid him during the 2020 campaign and during his presidency. He would do virtually no interviews, no press conferences, etc. "That Biden had very obvious signs of dementia for years that you guys lied about and claimed was a stutter. You guys STILL won't admit that Biden had very obvious and very serious signs of dementia." You keep saying Dimentia. You cannot diagnose Dimentia from a distance. My father died almost a year ago from Dimentia. There are hundreds of diagnoses that could be made to characterize the degeneration of Biden outside of Dimentia, just like you can do... for Trump. Local PLD Burger-Crown White Knight saves shy SCH from pressing buttons against scary minions in the newest dungeon, Mistwake.
Healer did fine after the first single minion wave, ofc. Because it's trash packs like always. I wrote "try w2w please" because literally why not. Healer never said no. Tank refuses because he's one of them nice guy, you know. I should've ignored it honestly. My tolerance level is in hell when it comes to things like this. If my healer says slow down, I'll respect it. But when my savior-complex tank babies the healer and she just stays mute, making the dungeon go 2x slower against all rhyme and reason, that shit drives me nuts, man. submitted by /u/Khaylezerker to r/TalesFromDF [link] [comments]

Got laid off, so I went all-in on living frugally. Here's what I did.
Strap in, it's gonna be a long one. In January of 2024, my second daughter was born. Unfortunately, in the weeks leading up to my paternity leave of just 4 weeks, my company laid me off with an okay severance package (2 months of pay). I decided during this time that after 10 years of 55+ hour weeks, I wanted a better work-life balance -- especially now that I have a second child. Unfortunately, I had not anticipated how insane the job market was, so after hundreds of job applications, 20+ interviews, 10+ interview project assignments, and getting to the final round 5 times, I still couldn't find a job going brand-side. I had to make a pivotal decision -- go back to agency world where I'll likely burn out sooner or later, or attempt to forge my own path with my own clients. I decided spending time with my family was more important than a bigger paycheck, so I decided to start off on my own consulting/freelancing. Of course, this meant that cash flow would limited for a while until I was able to build out my client base, so I set off reducing my recurring expenses as much as possible. Platform/Service Annual vs. Monthly Cost Cost per Month Annual Cost Netflix Monthly $17.99 $17.99 $215.88 Crunchyroll Annual $79.99 $6.67 $79.99 Amazon Prime Annual $139.00 $11.58 $139.00 On Demand Korea Annual $139.99 $11.67 $139.99 Youtube Premium Monthly $22.99 $22.99 $275.88 Spotify Monthly $19.99 $19.99 $239.88 T-Mobile Monthly $100.00 $100.00 $1,200.00 Google One Annual $19.99 $1.67 $19.99 LastPass Monthly $4.00 $4.00 $48.00 Chase Sapphire Reserve Annual $550.00 $45.83 $550.00 The above came out to $242.38/month or $2,908.61 annually. I then cut out as much as I could then replaced the more expensive services with cheaper ones. Platform/Service Annual vs. Monthly Cost Cost per Month Annual Cost Stremio + RD Annual $34.54 $2.88 $34.54 On Demand Korea Annual $139.99 $11.67 $139.99 Youtube Premium Monthly $22.99 $22.99 $275.88 Mint Mobile Annual 409.28 $34.11 $409.28 Google One Annual $19.99 $1.67 $19.99 Bitwarden Free $0.00 $0.00 $0.00 AAA Daily Advantage Free $0.00 $0.00 $0.00 The new recurring costs came out to $73.31/month or $879.68 annually. Netflix, Crunchyroll and Amazon Prime were replaced with Stremio + Real-Debrid (note: this may be a controversial move for some, but I'll be honest -- with the ever increasing subscription prices, I don't feel too bad about going the Stremio + RD route until I get back on my feet). On Demand Korea was kept because my tech illiterate mother (who lives separately) has no idea how to operate anything other than a remote control to select a show and press play. YouTube Premium was kept if only to make sure my older child does not get exposed to random ads on her approved-only content kids profile. But additionally, utilizing YouTube Music allowed me to get rid of Spotify. Not gonna lie, I love Spotify's algorithm for discovering new music much better, but YouTube Music works. Not to mention that since I work with ads as my career, I'd rather not see more ads in my personal life, and about half the content I consume is on YouTube. For Amazon Prime delivery, not having the instant 1-day shipping (because we would need to build up a minimum amount to get free delivery now) actually helped reduce monthly Amazon purchases. I used to spend, on average, about $100/month on random crap. Now it's closer to $30/month, and that's mostly essential supplies for the kiddos. T-Mobile was a big one. Since my wife and I both work from home, we hardly used any data. With Mint Mobile, not only do I get more data to use monthly, it's also significantly cheaper with no noticeable reduction in service quality (YMMV). I used to pay for LastPass Family, but after using Bitwarden for a while, I wonder why I didn't swap sooner. It has basically the same functions as the LastPass Family plan to share passwords with family, but Bitwarden is not only free, but they have a much better track record of not getting hacked. Finally, I used to have the Chase Sapphire Reserve card as I used to travel a bit more often. Now that that will be out of the picture for at least a year or so, I've gotten a free card that pays a higher cash back bonus on my highest spending category -- Costco (3% back on Costco with 5% back on groceries, which includes Walmart). Also, as I now eat out or DoorDash much less frequently, I was not building up points efficiently on the CSR, so it didn't make sense to keep it. Other things I did to reduce costs: Learn how to bake -- I used to buy cookies and baked goods from Costco pretty much every trip I made (every 2 weeks or so), but now I buy 0. Instead, I am now baking all the sweet treats that my family wants. Not only can I now get exactly what I want in the quantity that I want it, it is far, far cheaper (and tastier now that I have a bit more experience baking). This is easily $30/month in savings. Learn how to cook my favorite take-out meals -- burritos, burgers, beef & bean chili, chicken noodle soup, etc. The only time I ever order take-out now is for the party packs at McDonald's if I'm too tired to cook (once a month max), and maybe a Costco pizza. Thankfully, I'm not a pizza snob, so I can live with cheap pizza. This is easily $100/month in savings. Start a garden in my backyard -- only did this for 1 year so far, and we were able to replace some of the veggies we buy with the garden. That said, we started off small, so we probably only saved about $50 bucks of food in the end, which was about how much spent on seeds and equipment. We are definitely going much bigger this year (2x what we had previously) with proper equipment, so hopefully we can grow much more as we develop our green thumb. Negligible savings so far, but I'm hoping it'll be in the $100s in savings this year. Apply for state help on health insurance costs -- while working at my agency, I had my entire family on my premium health insurance plan, which cost $1,600/month to cover everyone. But now that my earnings are significantly reduced, my entire family gets health insurance completely for free. With this cheaper health plan, even if my earnings go up significantly and I pay full price for the insurance, it'll only come out to $950/month. That is $650/month in savings right there. Perhaps this isn't the best long-term move because there can be problems with cheaper healthcare, but for now, as I am still "young", it will suffice. All in, I am saving the following: Item Old Monthly Cost New Monthly Cost Total Monthly Savings Total Annual Savings Subscription Services $242.38 $73.31 $169.08 $2,028.93 Amazon shopping $100.00 $30.00 $70.00 $840.00 Baked goods $35.00 $5.00 $30.00 $360.00 Take-out $150.00 $35.00 $115.00 $1380.00 Health Insurance $1,600.00 $950.00 $650.00 $7,800.00 Total $2,127.38 $1,093.31 $1034.08 $12,408.93 If you've made it this far, I appreciate you taking the time to read through this. I hope this will give someone some ideas on how they can cut out extraneous expenses from their lives. Given how the economy is moving, many of us may need these tips sooner rather than later. What are some other things you have done to reduce your recurring costs? I'd love to try to minimize my costs even further if I can. submitted by /u/quokkabee to r/Frugal [link] [comments]

AITAH For Telling My Husband That I See Him As A Liability and Not A Partner?
Sorry for the long post, it's 2am and I'm crying and tired and worn out. If I'm rambling, it's because I've held this in for so long not wanting to burden friends or family with my marital troubles. I 34F have been with my husband (37M, we'll call him Nathan) for 8 years. Ever since our daughter (3F) was born, I have been unable to trust Nathan with anything no matter how small. Background context: When I was 19 after a semi truck driver fell asleep at the wheel and turned my car into scrap metal with me inside it. I have enough metal holding me together that I light up like a Christmas tree for TSA and physically impaired with good days and bad days. I used a portion of my settlement check to buy a house outright and have it retrofit to accommodate my needs as I'll eventually require a wheelchair. I work in software development as it's fun and nobody cares if I work from bed on bad days. My husband has not worked in 5 years. Which has been fine until our daughter was born. Between the settlement money, a paid off house, and my salary, I enjoyed having him here with me. He contributed by handling most of the domestics. We pay for a weekly cleaner with monthly deep cleaning because it gave us more time together. Ever since our daughter was born, it was like a light switch turned off in his head. For our daughter, he would buy the wrong size diapers. Not fully mix bottles. Put diapers on backwards. Leave out poop-covered wipes. Forget to latch cabinets. This past week, he has gone to the store 3 times because he keeps coming home with the wrong size socks and shoes for her. I eventually just ordered the right ones on Amazon. For me, he has tried to help me with my weekly pill organizer fill-up and several times has spilled the contents of new medications all over the floor. Then "not seeing" that he didn't get all of them off the floor. He has repeatedly brought me grapefruit juice to take my medications with - a huge no! He has repeatedly forgotten that I can't have dairy and puts milk in my coffee. Or cheese on a burger. He has broken SO many things of mine from being careless. He shattered my laptop because it slipped out of his hand when he tried to pack it for a trip. Even after I said I would pack my own electronics. We've lost so many spoons and forks to the disposal. He tried to replace the head gasket in my car and over torqued the engine bolt (??) Which shattered insode the block and two different shops said they couldn't repair it. We ended up getting a new vehicle because a replacement engine would have cost $11,000. A week later, he crashed the new car into the garage door because he thought he'd pressed the brakes, not accelerator. He wanted to do TikToks and streaming as a hobby. I supported him initially. But I quickly noticed a pattern. Anything regarding our daughter or me, he was sloppy and careless. He never whoops'd his own stuff. He would build entire sets to stream or make videos with, leave the garage, and leave his brain in the garage. It came to a head four nights ago. He streamed himself building a new set piece. Nine hours straight. Meanwhile I worked, "clocked out early" to pick up our daughter from summer camp, cooked and fed both of us, got her ready for bed. He came out to help put her to bed. I let him know that I needed to get some work done and would be in my office. And I asked him to take the trash out. He says he will. 2 hours later, I left my office and the house felt really warm. He'd taken the trash out, but left our front door partially open. And was back in the garage with his game volume really loud. I panicked since our daughter is able to get out of bed and thankfully she was sound asleep. But she could have easily toddled right out of the house and he wouldn't have noticed. Then I noticed a stove top burner was on. With a small pot on it with nothing inside.I didn't use the stove for cooking that night. I pop my head into the garage and said "hey, I need you for a minute." I informed him of the door situation and he responds "i thought I locked it". We checked the camera and no, he did not. I ask about the burner being on and he said he was planning to make ramen and forgot. He pulled the still hot pot off the burner and put it straight into the sink on top of our daughter's favorite plastic plate. Which is now ruined. I'll admit I overreacted and screamed "What are YOU DOING". He realized what he'd done and pulls the pot off our daughter's plate... and straight onto the countertop. I grab it quickly and run it under water to cool it down. I tell him I can't tonight. I can't deal with him. I'm taking my meds and going to sleep. He gets a cup from the cupboard, and sets it straight onto the burner that'd been on. I hit my limit. I started crying. He kept saying that it was fine, things happen, it's just an accident, he's had a rough day from streaming, he's just tired. Why am I crying, it's just a cup. We can replace it. The anger hit and I said "It's because I have a liability and not a partner." He said "what the fuck does that mean". I screamed that it's because I can't trust him to do anything. That I'm always having to watch him like a child. Always having to bear the costs of his mistakes. That every time I get careless and think I can trust him to be an adult, I'm always the one getting fucked over. I then said "I can't see you as a partner anymore. You're just another liability in my checkbook". He immediately stormed out of the kitchen and went to bed. I called my mom and told her what happened. She thinks it's just stress and offered to take our daughter for a week so we could figure this out without our daughter seeing it. She says it was an asshole thing to call my husband a liability. In the morning, I told my husband that my mom would pick up our daughter from summer camp and offered to watch her for a week. He said "ok" and that's the only interaction we've had since. He spends all day in the garage playing games with his friends, making Tiktoks, and streaming. For food, he's been ordering DoorDash and having the person deliver it in the garage. It's been days and he refuses to be in the same room as me. I've tried messaging him to ask if we can talk. Or figure out a solution. But he's just left me on read. If I pop into the garage, he ignores me but apologizes to his friends or viewers for the interruption and geek unmute his mic when the noise stops. Before the blow up, I've asked if there was something going on. I tried to gently respond every time he screwed up so our daughter didn't associate "mistake" to "anger". I asked him to schedule with a doctor to see if something was going wrong medically. He always said I was over-reacting, people make mistakes. And didn't see an issue, even when the same mistakes kept happening. When I tried to get him to understand that it was concerning just how expensive his mistakes were getting, he'd wave it off as a "it's not like we can't afford it". I love him dearly, I just miss the person he was before we had a child. The one I could trust and rely on. Did I screw this up forever? Was I being too harsh on his mistakes? Am I missing something? Am I the asshole? submitted by /u/Intrepid_Buy_3152 to r/AITAH [link] [comments]

Got my first Blackstone about 3 weeks ago and am in the market for a smash burger press. Looking for something heavy duty that a professional would use. Any recommendations? submitted by /u/Oddlyunique to r/blackstonegriddle [link] [comments]

Do you think we're going to be very surprised at tomorrow's Vatican press conference or do you think it'll be another nothing burger?
It'll be likely one of three things - Disclosure of aliens from the Vatican, the Vatican re-affirming its stance on the concept of NHI/extraterrestrials and how they would fit in with the church's official doctrine, or just a nothing burger that doesn't mention anything. I'd love to be surprised, but I don't think it'll amount to anything significant. What's your vote? submitted by /u/matt73132 to r/aliens [link] [comments]

3D printed burger press!
Burger Press printed with Carbon food safe PETG. Turned out pretty good! I've used it on 6 separate occasions now and it seems to hold up well. The model is free on printables. Used tree supports for the top piece with a .2mm layer height. Anyone got any ideas on how to make this support free? The ridges to make sure the patty doesn't stick are a pain... submitted by /u/No-Location-3624 to r/3Dprinting [link] [comments]

In Iron Man, Tony Stark is seen eating Burger King before a press conference where he turns his life around. In reality RDJ credits Burger King for making him rethink his bad habits.
