Trying to get more fiber. I call it the Shitgria. Thank u.
Apparently doctors have been saying that colon cancer is going to be the biggest problem our generation faces due to lack of fiber so my fiancée has been begging me to actually use this. I didn’t have any flavored drinks that made this appetizing… expect a sangria. Tried it yesterday and loved it, so we’re back again today bb. Let’s just say… the fiber works. God damn. Edit: yall if I get one more comment telling me to just say some veggies or fruits I’ll explode. I eat em. I swear. Also, I drink maybe once a month if that. This sangria was just a fun one-time purchase from a Greek place. On the note of drinking, yes I drink water I got my second 1.5L bottle of the day right next to me. This has turned into insufferable unsolicitedadviceville ova here. God forbid a gal just have some whimsy and good shits. Imma fart on all of your pillows and give you pink eye. 2nd edit: your pillows have been farted on. Sorry, that’s the rule. That’s the goal now. Goodnight, and wish my anus good luck tomorrow morning. submitted by /u/Turtlegrandmacore to r/StupidFood [link] [comments]

School sent this home at 3:45pm on a Friday, when the closest pharmacy closes at 4pm on Friday.
Info: Pinworms are actually one of my biggest fears! I haven't slept since Friday, because ✨️Anxiety✨️. Not only was it too late to go to the doctor in town (closes at 12pm on Friday), but when I did manage to get ahold of the pharmacy, before they closed, they were all sold out of Pinworm treatment. Had to drive 35 miles to get the treatment, because (YOU GUESSED IT!) every pharamacy within a 20 mile radius was sold out until Monday. Now I will spend the next 2.5 weeks waking up, showering 3 boys, doing the linens for 4 bedrooms, checking buttholes for worms, and sanitizing my entire home until my blood becomes Lysol. All this because someone sent their kid to school with itchy butt worms [: Yay! EDIT: It is getting overwhelming trying to respond to all the comments, because this post blew up more than the butt-worm epidemic, so I am going to add some more info here. I DID get the treatment on Friday from Walmart Pharmacy and we have all taken it (hence driving the 35 miles to get the treatment). Yes, the pharmacy in town closest to me closes at 4 because I live in a small rural town with only one pharmacist, so if he wants to leave at 4pm on Fridays, the pharmacy closes. No, I was not looking for a prescription, I was asking for the OTC medicine when I called all the pharmacies, there just isnt a Walgreens, CVS, etc within the 20 mile radius. The closest Walgreens is the same distance as Walmart Pharmacy, so I just went to Walmart out of convenience. The reason this is mildly infuriating is because I was told so late that I was not able to contact my doctor to have them explain this to me and tell me the plan of action, so I just did what the paper said. Additionally, the school was informed on Wendesday morning about the kid in 2nd grade who was diagnosed with Pinworms. I know this because I spoke to the mother of the child who was diagnosed & found out when I called her to warn her about the outbreak. Additionally, the school has several communication methods: 3 apps we were told to download during orientation/open house, an all-call system that they have previous used for other outbreaks/emergencies, and directly calling the parents. I recieve at MINIMUM 3 notifications from the school DAILY in the main app they use. Furthermore, the school went paperless years ago, so the paper note was strange to me. This also is not the first time the Nurse has done something questionable in regard to student health & safety. I am honestly not sure how she is still working there. For those of you calling me a drama queen: YAAAAS BABYYYY I am super dramatic!!! But in this case, l my response is the right amount of "what the fuck." Be safe out there & fight the good fight against anal worms. Wash. Your. Hands. Teach your kids how to wash their hands!! submitted by /u/FregginUnicorns to r/mildlyinfuriating [link] [comments]

Experiences with working at CVS Health (Remote positions)?
I have been applying for a few UR and CM jobs at CVS Health and was wondering a couple of things: 1) Any experience from others working there? Have been looking for a fully remote transition from hospital based UR Nurse/Case Manager (our unit does both). 2) In total, I’ve applied to roughly 15 jobs there. I meet all of their qualifications and preferred experience, however, it seems like I get screened out during the application process. Within 24-48 hours after applying, my application changes to “no longer in consideration” without any notification or discussion. Is this normal for CVS Health applications? Thank you in advance! submitted by /u/ahack12 to r/nursing [link] [comments]

TrumpRx should scare you a lot more than you would think
Hi I am a pharmacist that has hated GoodRx for as long as I have been in pharmacy for a few reasons and their new (now a week old) cooperation with TrumpRx is one the most horrifying things I have ever seen. For starters GoodRx is another dystopian invasion of privacy that will definitely be exploited to persecute people. They have had multiple controversies where they have been caught selling patient information (two of the founding members are former Facebook executives so of course they sell your data). A lot of traditional healthcare information is protected by HIPAA, but putting your information into the GoodRx website is not protected and GoodRx settled a case with the FTC for selling patient information this way. I hear a lot of allegations that the processing information that is sent from your pharmacy to GoodRx is also sold, but I have no direct proof of that. So GoodRx is selling personal health data. When Trump was initially elected I was concerned that the information gathered by GoodRx could be weaponized against the American people. Prescriptions for HRT, birth control, plan b, and mifepristone could lead to people being targeted. If RFKJr gets his way and wants to send people on SNRIs and SSRIs to detox camps they have bundles of information they can buy and use to round up people which is far fetched, but so was extracting a foreign president with military action. GoodRx is also being sued again for creating a pricing fixing scheme. GoodRx makes a lot of money charging a dispensing fee per prescription, usually $5 to $10 dollars, to the pharmacy. On most generic prescriptions where the patient pays $7 to $15 dollars the pharmacies that take the coupons often lose money on prescriptions when taking into account the cost of the drug dispensed, and that is before including the other operating costs of the pharmacy. They have partnered with bigger corporations that do not mind loss leaders, notably Walmart and a lot of large grocery store chains, and pharmacies that own their own PBM, like CVS/Caremark that keep the pharmacies afloat by having the insurance company pay themselves more on expensive drugs, the provide "lower costs" and out price local pharmacies and ones that do not own PBMs (a significant reason why Rite Aid went out of business and other pharmacy chains that scooped up into the CVS complex). GoodRx has made pharmacy a business where it is almost impossible to make your ends meet let alone make a profit. Most insurance companies also have a vested interest in not paying out on prescriptions which means they will often force companies on their website or try to strong arm pharmacies into saying they accept GoodRx by threatening to terminate contracts. They even partner with insurance companies to bill GoodRx on the back end so that insurance do not have to pay and the pharmacy gets screwed out of their money. So this company that sells patient information and has an active case in the courts has now directly partnered with the Trump administration which wants as much information as possible to persecute people they do not like. I used to volunteer at a clinic for undocumented immigrants and told them that GoodRx was not a safe platform and they did not listen until it came out that GoodRx is just TrumpRx. Now there is a collection of data where ICE can get names, addresses, and reasons to deport them ("they are a bioterrorist because they have an infection" is how I imagine it would go). If you have relied on GoodRx for medications in the past, don't. Independent pharmacies will often negotiate or have their own cost savings plan, go directly to the manufacturer for name brand drugs coupons, or use a different savings card that is not GoodRx because the devil you know is bad, real bad. The entire healthcare system is screwed and GoodRx is making it worse and more dangerous. Edit: quick follow up for those who relied on it and feel helpless while I have a second and this is not comprehensive First thing: make sure you use your insurance benefits to their max and understand your insurance policy. If you are paying them make sure you get your value. Insurance is purposely obtuse, but make sure you know your deductible, formulary, and if you can take advantage of HSA accounts and get the money out of it that you deserve. If you take a name brand drug insurance is almost the only option, but the pain can be helped with manufacturer coupon cards you can get by searching the drug or manufacturer. If you cannot afford insurance try to see if you qualify for Medicaid which depending on your state a surprising amount of people do. Mark Cuban CostPlusDrugs: patients I have interacted with have had negative experiences. First off does not have everything (notably no controlled medications) so you may have to rely on other pharmacies anyway. Customer service is what I have heard the most complaints about. Mail order, the only way to get their meds, is tricky and things can get lost. I did a project in it when it first started in college and found that it cleas on average more expensive, even more so when you include the five dollar delivery fee. If you can find a good deal great, but it cannot be a comprehensive pharmacy. (New edit someone linked Cuban to working with TrumpRx in the comments) I work for a not for profit hospital and we generally give out meds at lower prices when able because the cost of being readmitted is lower than the meds. Hospital also have social workers that can help you navigate the hellscape that is insurance. Second edit: to be quick and blunt while I am on my lunch, if goodrx "saved you money" the system failed you. GoodRx did not pay the pharmacy to make the price lower, but lowered the maximum amount a pharmacy can charge and insurance that is displayed for cash paying patients. Big chain pharmacists hardly ever see the price of meds and do not have the option to charge you less. Local and independents have more control over pricing and most have a heart and they will mostly not extort you. I worked briefly at a big chain and it killed me how often copays were too high for what they were getting. Pharmacy pricing is incredibly broken and GoodRx was incentivizing insurance companies and PBMs to keep it that way. Another problem that I see first because I work in a hospital with providers is that sometimes doctors prescribe the wrong thing. Not like completely wrong but a form of a medication that is more expensive than others. Metformin ER osmostic release being the most common example where the standard ER metformin is dirty cheap and osmotic release and crazy expensive. It is a simple mistake that a doctor can make that make a world of difference so have someone in health care look at what you are being prescribed. submitted by /u/Kid-OK to r/50501 [link] [comments]

CVS/Caremark Weight Management Program Requirements
For those of you on MHBP or a similar insurance where enrollment in the CVS/Caremark Weight Management Program is required: what are you doing for your monthly activity in the Health Optimizer App? I last met with my dietician in January and she said we didn’t need to meet again until April, but I know one activity is required in the app (either a member initiated chat session or a live meeting) to remain in the program - in addition to logging weight monthly. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can chat with her about? Maybe I can just send her my weight through the chat… I dk if that would count. Curious how others may be handling this requirement. CVS Health Corporate Roles
I’ve noticed CVS Health regularly posts tons of new corporate roles on LinkedIn—many seem freshly listed every week. From digital marketing to analytics to operations, it’s a steady flood. For those of you in Talent Acquisition or HR (whether at CVS or just in the industry), I’m curious: Are they actively hiring for all these roles, or is this more about pipeline building or brand visibility? Are these evergreen roles that stay open whether or not there's headcount to hire? Any inside scoop on what’s going on with their hiring strategy lately? I’m not trying to call out CVS—just trying to understand how seriously to take these roles as a job seeker. Would love any informed insight from folks who know how this stuff works behind the scenes. Intrusive nuisance Health Optimizer CVS app
This app was required by my employer health insurance in order for me to keep my insurance and medications. I have spent countless required hours on this app watching endless videos and taking all the quizzes. This app will send me alerts at all hours of the day and night, yes- even at 2 AM. When I get the alert, I am Required to watch yet more videos and take more quizzes. If I don’t, I could lose my coverage. I have taken screenshots of the interruptions I receive on a daily and nightly basis. I also got a threatening letter in the mail reminding me that I need to stay active on the app when asked, and failure to do so could cause me to lose coverage. So at 2 AM when I get an alert that I need to watch a video, take a quiz, or give a run-down of what I did during the day, I need to comply. This app also asked me to talk with an AI doctor bot. note: I am under my human doctor’s care of whom I see regularly, but apparently this CVS crap app knows more than my own doctor does. This app also wants me to get a tracker on my body, so that it can monitor me on everything I do, and everywhere I go. I’m surprised there’s not a class action. Note: if you go to the Apple App Store or the Google play store, there are so many complaints similar to mine. I feel like this is just a ploy so that the insurance companies won’t have to cover, as they know people will get so tired of having to continually comply with this app unrealistic demands at all hours of the day and night. I don’t even know how this is legal or if there’s any recourse. I also feel that this is a big HIPAA violation because we all had to sign that this app can use whatever data that it wants. submitted by /u/HurryUp-and-Wait702 to r/CVS [link] [comments]

Incredibly Intrusive | CVS Weight Management Program
I got this letter from my employer. In the letter, I am informed that as a benefit to me, I will be introduced to the CVS Weight Management program. Highlights of this program are an app (Health Optimizer) I am supposed to put on a smart phone that allows video conferencing with a team of clinicians and dietitians a personalized nutrition plan an internet connected body weight scale to track my progress this plan requires at the minimum one virtual meeting a month regular weight check-ins based on what the clinician has agreed to failure to comply will mean that my insurance, that I pay for, will no longer cover the cost of Zepbound and it will not count towards the deductible of the put-of-pocket maximum. First, I find this incredible intrusive. Second, I am very scared that my employer is looking to push me out of this drug. I have lost 70 pounds in the past year and could lose another 70. But there were several months that I plateaued. If I do not hit targets will they find that as an excuse? Does anyone have any experience with this? I don't even have a smartphone. I need some ideas.
