iPhone Air Thoughts
Picked up the iPhone Air this afternoon in Sky Blue as they didn’t have any other colour in stock, it’s honestly pretty much white anyway. $500 off in Australia at the moment and 50% Air accessories with the purchase. I haven’t used it much yet apart from setup, but I will say, I haven’t felt this way about an iPhone since I first got the X back in the day. It’s so beautiful, slim and light to hold. I am thankful to not have a brick in my hands 😂 What slim phone cases are we rocking? I got one from the shop but hate where my pinky goes it feels sharp around the usb c hole… submitted by /u/spicetech to r/iphone [link] [comments]

iPhone Air 5 weeks later - this might be my favorite iPhone to date
Title pretty much sums it up, I love this phone. I will say it's a backup to my fold 7 and moto razr ultra so those kind of cover most of it's shortcomings (speaker, no ultra wide camera, battery). I generally prefer android phones for customization, and mostly folding phones for the novelty. This is the first iPhone and non folding phone I've been this excited about in years (coming from both an iPhone 14 pro, base 15, and 16e in the last few years). Basically using it twice as much as I did my 16e (which I carried because I need apple services but also was backup line). Pros Obviously the build. It's 6.5 inches yet still easy to use one handed due to the thinness and weight. It's a joy to use and even after a month of use (the novelty hasn't worn out), and I really can't see myself going back to a slab sized iPhone anytime soon unless the 18 is mind-blowing as far as features. I just really hope they can improve battery and I'd gladly get an iPhone air 2, but if not, can see myself using this for the next 3 years, maybe 4, and that's coming from someone who switches phones yearly. Cons For me only battery. Battery is good on Wi-Fi but just decent on LTE. I don't use 5g or always on display unless plugged in to save power (and I have a shortcut for this to enable/disable both automatically). I can't speak on cameras and speaker as I rarely use either and when I do photos have looked great. And when I need better zoom or ultra wide I use my fold 7 or someone else's phone. I'd also say pricing was it's biggest com. Having this $200 more than the base iPhone yet a smaller battery, less cameras, and less speakers put people off. Reviewers also didn't do this phone justice based on it's pricing and compromises. Had this started at $799 it may have sold like hotcakes. I essentially got mine for $750 plus tax new from Apple plus through some dealing, so not as disappointed on pricing as I could have been paying MSRP. But every time I pick this up it's a joy to hold. It's such a breathe of fresh air from phones that feel like bricks, heck even the 16e with a case on it feels weird compared to the air with an aramid case on it. I guarantee you if you're on the fence about this just give it a chance. You just need to know what to expect. Decent battery but definitely not pro or pro max level cameras or battery. I also used the base iPhone 17 for 3 weeks back in November and the Air ironically had better battery than it did in my opinion 🤷🏾‍♂️ Tips (really more iOS tips then anything) Use shortcuts when possible to automate. Also use them to make control center toggles. I have toggles for AOD and 5g. Phone automatically goes into battery saver between 10pm-7am and also when below 45 percent. Charging automatically turns off battery saver, and turns on AOD and 5g (and disables when not charging all due to shortcuts). Turn off background app refresh. I'm not sure what this even does as I've had it off for years and never miss notifications. I also use Gmail and have fetch either off or set to manual in mail settings. Dark mode can also help save lots of battery. And only having location services "while using app" except for stuff you need it to be always on like maps, weather, and findmy. Also if coming from Android, Microsoft Swiftkey keyboard is a must. Ios keyboard sucks so having better word prediction, themes, built in gifs, long press punctuation for symbols, clipboard, and a dedicated number row is great (things you miss from android). I also have Google photos, chrome, keep, tasks, calendar all installed to sync easily between my iPhone and Android devices with notes and tasks. submitted by /u/Southern-Bad-1270 to r/IphoneAir [link] [comments]

The iPhone Air is not selling well

5 Months with the Iphone Air
Today I hit 5 months with the Air. My conclusion is simple: YouTubers who criticized this phone because they are obsessed with spec sheets are wrong. In 5 months, I never needed the ultra wide camera. I just took a few steps back and it was the same. The battery calibrated over time and I finish my days with 60%. I also took the time to disable useless background features. Clearly, the battery life is quite incredible. Do not forget that the battery makes up 80% of the inside of the phone. And in any case, you can charge at the office or at home in 2026. In the end, I never get tired of it. I love this phone. The feeling of just holding a big, lightweight screen is insane. The size is perfect, bigger than the 17 Pro which is too small, and smaller than the 17 Pro Max which is too big. The featherweight feel is impressive, the sensation of having nothing in your pocket, and above all its incredible durability. It is made of grade 5 titanium. The polished titanium gives it a premium, almost jewelry like look on the outside while still being grade 5 titanium. People who drop it report no damage, and on the iPhone Air subreddit many go caseless. I feel like this is the ultimate iPhone. Putting the most powerful Pro CPU inside is also brilliant. This thin phone with Pro level performance becomes the ultimate gaming console. In short, the best iPhone ever. submitted by /u/Oxbow8 to r/iphone [link] [comments]

Is the iPhone Air actually the better everyday iPhone right now?
I picked up the Air recently (huge discount, which probably says something about demand), and I didn’t expect this… but it might be the first iPhone in years that doesn’t feel like a brick. Yeah, it’s missing stuff: no LiDAR, no ultra-wide. On paper that sounds like a downgrade. In practice, I’m not sure I care. What surprised me more: durability. From the bend tests I’ve seen, it seems to hold up about as well as the 17 Pro, which I definitely didn’t expect from something this thin. So now I’m wondering if the “Pro” models are kind of overkill for most people. Curious what others think: - Do you actually use LiDAR / ultra-wide regularly? - Does the weight/thickness difference matter long-term? - If you’ve tried both, which one did you stick with? Also: anyone running super thin cases? Feels like that’s the sweet spot for this phone submitted by /u/vartha to r/iphone [link] [comments]

Crappy battery on iPhone Air
I made a post previously about the trash battery on my iPhone Air, and pretty much got clowned. When i got the phone it was amazing, but suddenly became all trash I copped a new one, which has 4 cycles and the old one had 35. As you can see, the battery difference is huge. New one is silver with 55 usage, old is black with 74 usage. The usage was similar, similar apps and both on wifi, but the new one was used outside most of the time at max brightness so should have used more battery up. Anyways, why is the battery so much worse on my old one? Moral of the story - this sub Reddit has a crap ton of jobless people that will try to delude you into believing that you are the problem and guard their beloved iPhone Air as if they are getting a pay check 😂 Edit - Every setting is exactly the same. Also not complaining about the battery on the iphone air in general, complaining that one of the two iphone airs i own is way worse. submitted by /u/Alternative_Drama431 to r/IphoneAir [link] [comments]

The relationship was abusive and it took her years to leave. *when she wanted to move out of state because she couldn’t afford the COL, he won primary custody — claiming that it’s in their child’s best interest to stay put. *3 days after the custody order was given, he notified her that he was also moving out of state. *Her ex goes to great lengths to make her life a living hell even living a few hours apart. He has also tried to surveil her conversations with their son, stretching the limits of the custody order. *since I have an iPhone, I received the “unknown air tag” near you notification and was able to track it down. We found it in his insole. Last four of the phone number match her ex-husband’s new wife. submitted by /u/Content-Bathroom-434 to r/mildlyinfuriating [link] [comments]

Regret getting the iPhone air
Long time iPhone user, even worked at the store for a few years. I switched to android for a little bit and absolutely loved that, but chose to come back to iPhone after 1 year hiatus because of family/friends FaceTime calls. I saw the iPhone air and thought that it finally felt like Steve Jobs era iPhone and was genuinely really excited getting it. But the excitement really didn’t last more than a week. It’s really awkwardly thin? I don’t know how to describe it, I have but hands and can’t use it without a case/the MagSafe wallet on that back. It just doesn’t feel substantial in the hand? Let me know if anyone else feels this way too. The second thing is the camera is really mid. It’s nothing special to write home about and I didn’t realize how much I depended on that ultra wide / other lens that this one doesn’t have. I don’t really care too much about the speaker even tho it’s horrible, and battery life is really just alright. I should have paid an extra $100 and just gotten the 17 pro. Now im outside of my return window and don’t want to waste all that money I paid to buy another phone… Is there anyone else who shares this sentiment or do you just love your iPhone air? submitted by /u/Old_Fisherman_9380 to r/iphone [link] [comments]

TIL the mobile game "Send Me to Heaven" involved throwing your phone as high in the air as you can. The creator made it with the hope of destroying as many iPhones as possible, but Apple banned it from the App Store.
