Hey guys I am looking for headphones online as I have a flight soon and desperately need them to entertain myself (and I just need new ones in general) and I need some help to figure out whether or not theyd fit. I got the white JBL Tune 520bt a little over a year ago. My old bluetooth headphones I got around the same price lasted 5 years before literally falling apart, so I thought my JBL would be fine at this point. Currently, they are the worst headphones I've ever used. Right now, they turn off any time I slightly adjust them on my head, much less take them off for a minute to hear someone or go do something. I think it's supposed to be an automatic turn off feature to save battery? But the feature is completely broken it seems, and certainly doesn't save battery. Because my second biggest grievance is that I will keep them on the charger for HOURS. I had them on the charger for 5 uninterrupted hours just this morning where I confirmed the charging light was on the whole time. I connect them to my computer, and they're at 10%. ????? On top of that, Any time I connect them to my computer, there seems to be a 50% chance that the headphones just won't pick up any audio despite saying the audio is connected. And I have to manually enter advanced sound properties in settings and run a test to fix it. And maybe this is just a computer problem, but I have never had to do that before with any other pair of headphones or earbuds. I literally just want a pair of bluetooth headphones right now that do the bare minimum, and the jbl tune 520bt has failed at this horrendously. Every other review I've seen has generally seemed positive so I'm wondering if I just got a faulty pair and should try another version or brand. I am trying to use the built in mic from these headphones on my laptop (win 10) but nothing is showing in the input settings. I've seen another post asking for the same thing but the solution in that one didn't help (connect the headphones to the app and turn off the equalizer). So I just got new headphones, the ones in the title. They sound great and have great battery life, but after like 30~ minutes they hurt my ears a LOT. How would I loosen the clamp on these, so that it's still comfortable to wear but don't smash my ears against my skull. It's been a while now and it seems to be getting worse. Once, I charged my JBL 520BT regularly, then noticed it was very sensitive to the touch when I turned on to use it: if I rearrange them on my ears, it turns off - later, it started to shut down even without touching them (noticed it happens more often when below 30% battery). Now, my headphones aren't charging at all! The red led light keeps "blinking", going on and off, when I plug them to charge. I've tried resetting (turning on + long pressing the volume buttons; didn't change anything - long pressing all 3 buttons didn't do a thing, either). My dad upgraded to Sony headphones (forgot what kind exactly) so he gave his old JBL to me. I'd definitely say, the way this clamps to my head is pretty uncomfortable and even headache-inducing at times, but in terms of sound quality, thanks in part of JBL's app, it feels crisp and perfect in my ears. As for the clamping situation, I position the headphones in a particular manner onto my head so it feels like it's not clamping down as much. But I'd just like to hear the thoughts of you guys reading this post. Ive tried stretching them out over plushies and books and its helped a lot, but they still hurt after a couple hours (and considering i wear headphones for 10+ hours a day, sucks!) Does anyone have advice on how to make this better? literally all i wanted is wireless (with the option to be plugged in - ideally while wearing, to charge without having to take them off, which these ones dont have, i have to take them off to charge smh) and now i constantly have pressure migraines :C I just want some comfy headphones that can be worn long-term each day, if i cant adjust these ones to the point of fixing that i might tweak out lol they were a gift and it feels wasteful to not use them! ive only had them for like a month submitted by

I charged my headphones fully, but they keep restarting. I Turned on voice prompts instead of jbl sound in the app, to see if it says something heplfull, but IT doesnt even do "PowerOff", or low battery. It cuts off music, a few second of silence and then "Power On", "Connected". And its good again for like 20 minutes. Hi everyone! I’m looking for help choosing a new pair of headphones and would really appreciate some advice 🙏 I’ve actually been really excited (and a little anxious) to finally make this post — since this community doesn’t allow users with low karma to post, and I’m not a very active Reddit user (I mostly just like to read), I had to wait quite a while before I could finally ask this. I currently use a JBL Tune 520BT, which I bought in October 2023. It worked perfectly for about a year and was honestly exactly what I needed. The sound quality was totally fine for me — I’m not an audiophile at all, and I don’t really notice differences in bass, treble or timbre. I also don’t listen to music that often — usually less than 30 minutes a day — and when I do, I listen to a bit of everything. Pop, samba, MPB, pagode, K-pop and electronic are my favorites, but I’m always casually listening to many different genres from time to time. I don’t care much about noise cancellation. I rarely use it because I’m the oldest sibling in a big family and I usually need to hear what’s going on around the house. Battery life on the JBL was okay, but I wish it were better — I really dislike having to charge headphones very often. How I use my headphones: Watching series and movies Watching gameplay livestreams on YouTube and Twitch Long phone calls Gaming Because of that, having a good internal microphone is important to me. Very important detail: I absolutely hate gaming headsets. I find the design ugly and the external boom mics uncomfortable. I also use my headphones outside and at work, so I really want something that looks normal and discreet. I have small ears, I wear glasses, and while the JBL’s size and ear pads were comfortable, after many hours of use I did feel pain on the top of my head. Comfort is a big priority for me. What I’m looking for: Over-ear or on-ear (not in-ear) Bluetooth Good internal mic (for calls and gaming) Comfortable for long sessions (especially with glasses) Long battery life Not a “gamer” look Suitable for daily use, street + work + home I live in Brazil, and we have access to most major online stores, so availability shouldn’t be an issue. Budget: Ideally up to R$300 (~$56 USD) I can stretch to R$350 (~$65 USD) if it’s really worth it or if I can wait for a good sale And just to be clear — I’m not being cheap 😅 My salary is around R$1800, so I really don’t want to spend half of that on super professional headphones when I wouldn’t even understand the technical differences. I might also start using these headphones for exercise, so I’m a bit worried about ear pad quality. For example, I looked at the QCY H3, but the ear pads seem terrible to me — that leather-like material looks uncomfortable, even if it’s durable. I really didn’t want to say goodbye to my JBL, but over the past year it started having several annoying bugs, and this week it simply decided it won’t turn on unless it’s plugged into the charger… even at 100% battery. Hi, I have a problem with my headphones. I have JBL Tune 520BT headphones, and for the past few weeks, they've been turning off and on every time I take them out of my ears. Lately, they turn off with the slightest movement. I have to put them in specific positions to turn them on, but they turn off as soon as I move them. I opened my headphones and checked if the connections were loose, but they're all soldered, and I don't understand what's happening. P.S: I do own moondrop chu 2 but sadly can't take them to the gym with me the quality control already sucks on these. I was thinking of getting the sony WH-CH520 but that is out of my budget, so can't get those.
