I'm currently thinking of buying an office chair as the one I currently have is just provided by my dorm and it's pretty small. The chair is pretty hard too which gives me back pains (one of the reasons why I'm getting a new chair is mostly because of this). I also have bad posture so I am to help remedy this by getting a good chair. What I want is a soft chair that would be comfortable to sit on for hours. I also want a chair that I can lean on while working/gaming because the one I use now requires me to lean forward towards my Laptop and slouch since the recline makes it impossible to work while leaning back. The pros and cons of my options: the Leather option I have right now has a built in massager and seems stuffed enough on the pictures that I can infer it's pretty soft. I've been advised against it though given how it tears easily since it's fake leather and it might smell since it makes you sweaty after sitting on it for hours. Alternatively, my friends suggested ergonomic chairs/mesh because it won't make you sweat and are still pretty comfortable, though I'm not as sold because the not so stuffed back rest doesn't make it as appealing to me. Hey! So, my executive leather chair has lasted me 15 years, it's been comfy but not great for gaming sessions on the long side. I've narrowed it down to 3 options, my budget maximum is £300 cheaper the better but obviously quality is important. I visited John Lewis to compare fabric seats and mesh, to my suprise mesh wasn't actually uncomfortable but again this wasn't a prolonged time. I tried the Aeron....don't hate me but I just didn't like it that much, the arm rests felt too far back? The actual chair was good though. The chair that I sat on that shocked me the most was the Humanscale Liberty...my god it just felt strong and soft.
