What’s your favorite blender that’s actually worth buying?
I’m looking for a good blender and trying not to get fooled by random “top 10” lists. I mostly need it for smoothies, frozen fruit, protein shakes, sauces, and maybe the occasional soup or nut butter if it can handle it. I don’t need something insanely expensive, but I also don’t want one that burns out after a few months or leaves chunks of frozen fruit no matter how long I blend. Easy cleaning would be a big plus too because I know if it’s annoying to clean, I’ll stop using it. For anyone who uses a blender regularly, which one has held up well for you? And are the expensive ones actually worth it, or is there a cheaper option that does the job just fine? submitted by /u/InterestingLoss9737 to r/Smoothies [link] [comments]

What blender is good for making smoothies at home?
My blender has almost reached it's limitation I guess coz whenever I make smoothies it can no longer handle frozen fruit and ice really well the last time I used it. It can still do simple drinks, but if I as a demanding one want a different smoothie thicker consistency that when I used to make one I still have to stop every few seconds and stir the contents manually to help the blender. I want to have a new one and had no idea that there were so many different types of blenders until I checked them out on the online. Some people prefer this the called power of the motor only, while others are more up with the noise level, or how easy it is to clean, or the size of the cup so complicated I say. I went through Amazon, several appliance sites, and Alibaba to see what the different models looked like, what their features were, and their prices, too. To those who are a fan of making smoothies at home what were the features that you're up the most when it comes to a blender? submitted by /u/Wide-Courage-1383 to r/kitchens [link] [comments]

What are the best home smoothie blenders that are actually worth buying?
I’m trying to find a good blender for making smoothies at home, but every review seems to recommend something different. Some people say Vitamix is worth the money, others say Ninja is good enough, and then there are smaller personal blenders that look convenient but maybe not powerful enough. I mostly want it for frozen fruit, protein shakes, greens, ice, and maybe nut butter or thicker smoothies sometimes. I don’t need anything super fancy, but I also don’t want a blender that leaves chunks of frozen fruit or burns out after a few months. For anyone who makes smoothies regularly, what blender do you use and would you buy it again? Is it worth spending more for a high-end blender, or are the mid-range ones perfectly fine for daily smoothies? submitted by /u/Feeling_Smoke4386 to r/Smoothies [link] [comments]

Quiet blender for smoothies that won’t annoy my neighbors?
I’m looking for a blender mainly for smoothies, but I live in an apartment with pretty thin walls so noise is a real concern. I usually make smoothies in the morning, and I don’t want to be that person blasting a jet engine in the kitchen while everyone else is still asleep. I don’t need anything super fancy, but I do want it to handle frozen fruit, yogurt, protein powder, and maybe some spinach without struggling. I’ve looked at a few “quiet” blenders, but it’s hard to tell what’s actually quiet versus just quieter than a normal loud blender. Has anyone found a blender that works well for smoothies and is reasonably apartment-friendly? I’d love to hear what you use, how loud it feels in real life, and whether it’s actually worth the money. Update: since I see a lot of people are struggling with this exact same thing, I'll tell you how I solved the noise problem sufficiently using help of you guys! Someone recommended Auralex isolator pads to put under the blender, they prevent vibration from travelling through whatever your blender is placed upon. They're amazing! Vitamix vs Ninja blender? Which is better for daily smoothies?
Morning smoothie is my thing. Spinach, frozen fruit, flax. Helps me stay full until lunch. But my blender leaves chunks of spinach every single time. I know it always comes down to Vitamix vs Ninja. But does the Ninja get greens smooth enough or should I just spend more on a Vitamix? Also how do they handle thicker stuff like frozen banana or nut butter? Just wanted to follow up-- I was leaning Ninja for the price, but after reading down about reliability and spinach chunks, I splurged on the Vitamix VX1. Zero regrets. My smoothies are really smooth now and it handles frozen banana and nut butter like a champ. Cleanup isn't bad either. submitted by /u/Baraale_Comida to r/Volumeeating [link] [comments]

Vitamix vs Ninja blender? Which is better for daily smoothies?
I do a green smoothie every morning. My current blender leaves little bits of kale no matter how long I run it and I know vitamix and ninja are the two names people bring up but one costs way more than the other. Does the ninja get greens smooth enough? Or will I end up wishing I spent more on a vitamix? And how does either one handle thicker stuff? Updating this-- Just went back to see this post was live lol. I read through everything and really appreciate all the advice everyone. I was also tempted by the lower price of the Ninja but after reading on other posts too I went personally and got myself a Vitamix VX1. So far it's been worth the extra cost for my daily use. It really breaks down everything completely. Cleaning hasn't been an issue too. At least for me. submitted by /u/Baraale_Comida to r/PlantBasedDiet [link] [comments]

Cheap blender keeps failing, what’s a professional grade blender for smoothies that actually lasts
I’m done wasting money on cheap blenders. I’ve gone through like 3 already and it’s always the same story works fine for a few weeks, then struggles with frozen fruit, starts smelling weird, or just straight up dies. I mainly make smoothies (frozen fruit, ice, sometimes oats/nuts), nothing crazy, but these budget ones just can’t handle it long term. I’m tired of stopping mid-blend to shake it or scrape stuff down like every 10 seconds. Been looking into professional stuff like Vitamix or Blendtec, but they’re expensive so I don’t wanna mess this up again. From what I’ve seen, people say stuff like Vitamix lasts years and handles anything you throw at it, even heavy daily use . Some folks even call models like the 5200 a “buy it once” kind of blender . But I want real experiences, not marketing. If you’ve upgraded from cheap blenders to something actually solid, was it worth it? What brand/model are you using and how long has it held up? submitted by /u/Due_Conference_1367 to r/KitchenPro [link] [comments]

What blender do you recommend for smoothies and meal prep?
I’m trying to upgrade my blender because my current one struggles with frozen stuff. Looking for something that can handle smoothies and basic food prep without overheating or leaving bits behind. Prefer simple, easy cleanup models. What would you recommend? Edit: Thanks for all the suggestions, here’s what people mostly recommend for smoothies and meal prep blenders: Vitamix (5200 / E310) – $54.99 - top choice for power and super smooth blends, handles frozen fruit and ice easily. Ninja Blender BN751 – $149.99 - strong mid-range option, good with frozen ingredients and daily use. NutriBullet Pro – $87.00 - compact and affordable, works well for single-serve smoothies. KitchenAid Pure Power Blender – $199.99 - reliable budget-friendly option that still handles frozen fruits well. Chefman Obliterator – cheaper alternative that still performs decently for thick smoothies. submitted by /u/BrilliantYarn8023 to r/Smoothies [link] [comments]

Portable blender to make shakes?
I am looking for a sturdy portable blender mainly to make shakes and smoothies but I'm confused what brand to buy... Best Blender to Buy in 2026? (Price, Consistency, Smoothies)
Hey guys, my friend asked me for blender recs and I realized I literally know nothing about blenders lol. I have one at home (it's a Ninja), I just press the button and it works, but I don't even know if it's good. They wanna make smoothies and soups. I told them I see ppl on here talk about Vitamix a lot but I honestly don't know like anything about them lol. What do you guys use? Do you like it? I'd appreciate some recommendations! Edit: Thanks for the recommendations! I ended up getting a Vitamix E310, they're more expensive but everyone here seems to LOVE them and I've read very good things about their reliability and longevity. If you have a higher budget and work in a bar, you could check out some of their more expensive models. If you're looking for a cheaper option, you should definitely check out Nutribullet. They're solid for the price. submitted by /u/Aubade15Sap to r/Smoothies [link] [comments]

Got screwed over in a white elephant gift exchange
So last night I was at at Christmas party where everyone was asked to bring a wrapped $25 white elephant gift for exchange. White elephant gifts are often meant to be silly, but in this group we usually get cool/practical/random things that are actually useful. Everyone did great picking out cool items and the game was a lot of fun... until it was my turn to pick. I chose a big heavy box, excited to find out what was inside. I tear open the wrapping paper and open up this taped up box to find.... 25 cans of green beans! Are you freaking kidding me?! For context other gifts that people brought included a mini igloo cooler (with soda inside), a mini smoothie blender, bottles of alcohol, a candle warmer with a candle, party games, etc. But of course, I was the one who ended up with the gag gift of more green bean cans than I know what to do with. The part that feels sh*ttiest is that I went a little over budget on the gift I brought, and ended up with something I couldn't get anyone to take off my hands. Ugh! If you're involved in a white elephant gift exchange this season, try not to make someone as sad as I was opening my package last night.. :( Edit: I donated the green beans to a local homeless shelter, they didn’t go to waste! Edit # 2: I didn’t think that I would receive such an overwhelming response to this post. Trying to get through all the comments and funny stories and apparently criticism over not wanting 25 cans of green beans 😂😂 Also for people wondering — it was not an office white elephant exchange. This was a group of friends/family at a small holiday party. submitted by /u/dental_oddity to r/mildlyinfuriating [link] [comments]

Recently had my cheapo modern blender die and wanted something more BIFL. Hopped on the ol' eBay to get it. Behold, the Osterizer 847 from 1972! What can I say? I'm a sucker for avocado green. Made sure the blades were sharp enough and have been making smoothies in my kitchen since no problem.
Outside of a modern $300+ Vitamix, something like this is about the best you can get. Objectively speaking, this old boi isn't the best blender as an actual blender in modern times. A $50 Black & Decker or Hamilton Beach will do marginally better than this. However, unlike those, this is IMMORTAL while still doing the job well enough for my needs. Most every part is still available second-hand even today as well in the unlikely event this actually needs maintenance. Favorite feature of this American-made appliance for me, besides just the general looks, is just how tactile the buttons feel. So satisfying! submitted by /u/Red-Wedge-0516 to r/BuyItForLife [link] [comments]

AITA for not giving my husband food if it was made with a blender that he was mad about me buying
I bought myself a nice blender, I work part time at home and also watch the young kids that are too young for preschool. Due to me staying home I cook a lot, which I enjoy so it’s not a big. Now the issue is that he was pissed how much the blender was it, 125 dollars. This annoyed me greatly since I used my fun money for it and it is a household tool even if he won’t use it. I thought we were over it but I pulled it out again to make a smoothy and he made more comments about a waste of money and stupid buy. I had the conversation with him about the whole situation again, he made more comments next time I took it out and I had enough. Now every time I make something using a blender I don’t give him any. It came to a head today I made a soup and I used the blender. I told him I used the stupid blender to make it so he can’t have any and make his own food. This caused a huge argument and he thinks I am a petty jerk but I have told him so many time to not call my purchases a waste. AITA for taking it so far This post made me start really thinking about my marriage. I am asking for couples counseling and if things don’t change I will be done. submitted by /u/Commercial-Ticket860 to r/AmItheAsshole [link] [comments]

AITA for wanting to disrupt my wife's routine?
Hello everyone, in a bit of a bind at the minute regarding the wife and some visitors. My wife (31F) and I (36M) have been married for 2 years now) and she has a very regimented wellness/mindfulness routine. She wakes up at 5am, does yoga in the spare room, goes on a quick run and comes home to make a smoothie using one of those loud nutri-ninja blenders and will get on with her day. She also meditates in there, journals and does other things that I can't disrupt her because its her personal time. She was like this before I met her and was clear that if I wasn't on board with this aspect of her routine, she doesn't want to pursue anything with me. While I am not thrilled she has that whole room for herself (I did ask if I could put my PC in there so it's not in the dining room space), it was there before I moved in with her so I made my peace with it. My sister is coming into town with her partner and young daughter (6F). We both agreed on letting them stay with us to save money. My wife wants them to sleep in the living room because we have multiple comfortable sofas for them to sleep on. While there is enough room, I made my case for buying air matresses for them and to set them up in my wife's spare room. I also asked her if she would part with her smoothie making at least until they wake up so they aren't disturbed in the morning. My wife is vehemently opposed to giving up her room and smoothies. She doesn't think the room will be comfortable for them (no carpets and its got huge windows and massive mirrors on one wall) and that I'm using this situation as a way to disrupt her routine I apparently hate. I'm not sure where she got that from since I've never asked her to change it. We're in a disagreement over where they should stay and my wife is event threatening to not allow them to stay and have them get a hotel for the visit. AITA? I don't think giving up the room is that hard an ask for my family's comfort and it's only 3 days. ETA - Thank you for all the advice everyone, I am heading to bed now. I have decided not to push this issue any further with my wife and my sister and family can use the sofas or I will pay partly for a hotel for them. I do plan on asking my wife about her routine and can update if people would like me to. Final update - Wife was making a smoothie this morning and I approached her over her smoothie making to clear the air. I said that I was wrong to ask to use the room for them and my sister and family should sleep on the sofas and she was happy to let them stay. I also asked why she has the rigidity of her routine. We didn't get into all of it but it was a start. I know my wife had a difficult upbringing in her teenage years but did not link the two that her routine was born out of those circumstances. I will not be encroaching on her room anymore and someone commented I could add heating to my garage so I could place my gaming PC in there which is a great plan. Thanks all. submitted by /u/routinedisrupt to r/AmItheAsshole [link] [comments]

AITA for not wanting to make dinner every night?
I (40f) had jaw surgery in November, and have had my jaw wired shut ever since. I'm mostly surviving on Ensure, blenderized soups, smoothies, and baby food. It's been tough. During this time, I have continued to make my child's breakfast every morning, make his lunch for school, do the grocery shopping, and make dinner most nights. Honestly, it's torture. My husband (40) works full time, and doesn't really feel like cooking when he gets home. I get it, but at the same time, making dinner every night, and having to watch and smell it cook when I know I can't eat it is awful. (And I know there are lots of ways to blend proper meals, but by the time I add enough broth, juice, etc. to make it drinkable, it's disgusting.) The other night, I asked if he could make dinner at least a few nights a week, and he got pretty offended. He said that since I'm not working (I'm on medical leave), it's nice to come home to dinner being ready and not having to rush to start it. Last night, I thought I could compromise and get all of the ingredients prepared and ready so he could just do the actual cooking, and he was pretty ticked off all night. Am I being unreasonable? Freeze pre-cut fruits is the best hack for morning healthy smoothies if you're running late preparing the ingredients. Add milk or yogurt, then toss in the blender.

LPT: After making a smoothie, put hot water in blender with some dish soap, turn on high for 30 seconds. Easiest way to clean a blender.

I’m going to college in a week, and I love making protein filled smoothies for before and after workouts. What’s a good, single-serving blender I could get for my dorm?
