Snow Shovel
This will be my first ego tool. I saw my neighbor used it last week during the snow storm and really liked it. I don't think we need more than this in Maryland snow where we get 1 or 2 snow days if we are lucky. Also I like the space saver aspect. I see there are two different models.SS1201 and SS1203. while both are out of stock in all of the stores online and in stores near me, if and when it is available, which one do you recommend and why. Multi-Head Snow Shovel Clutch Problem
The clutch opened up. Where the problem seems to be. I love the Ego Multitool and recently got the snow shovel attachment (refurbished). It's cosmetically in good shape, but the motor is failing to actually spin the tool's auger. The problem seems to be here in the clutch (?) at the bottom of the shaft, circled in red in the 2nd image. Spinning the attachment point at the top makes the top part of the clutch spin. And spinning the black cup on the bottom causes the auger to move, but when assembled the top and bottom parts must not be locking together to make the magic happen. It this coupling just missing a part that connects the top to the bottom? I can't find any diagrams or instructions around this part of the tool so any help would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/AppearanceAble6646 to r/egopowerplus [link] [comments]

Ego snow blower
Noob here. Middle aged man who hasn’t shoveled a lot of snow at one time in the northeast in a few years. Snow plow line was an insult with upto 30 inches at my driveway. I really want an ego stage 1 blower but from what I read stage two are best for plow line I was on The Who website and looks like a stage one, could handle it with 7V I know it will be slower. Does anyone own a stage 1 or 2? Thoughts? I live in NY maybe a storm like that comes every couple of years? Idk. But I need help now shoveling especially since I have two small kids who needs my attention Peace Edit— north east Ny means a lot like Buffalo. I live in the Hudson valley about 30 minutes out of NYC submitted by /u/Funny_Bridge_1274 to r/egopowerplus [link] [comments]

Is the EGO Snow shovel discontinued?
Both the SNS1201 and SNS1200 (bare tool) appear to be out of stock across all major North American retailers. I contacted several retailers, and they don't even have units on order. After watching multiple YouTube reviews, the EGO snow shovel consistently ranked near the top for its power and adjustable throwing direction. This would have been a perfect addition to my other snow removal tools. EDIT: I was able to find 3 in stock at a little shop in Quebec. I ordered one, should be here in couple of weeks. If It wasn't 2000km away, I'd drive to pick it up. submitted by /u/I-am-Super-Serial to r/egopowerplus [link] [comments]

Ego Multi-Head Snow Shovel with Darwin’s Grip
This is just a quick post but I recently got the Snow Shovel attachment for the Ego multi-head. My first outing with it was last week and it worked well but was surprisingly exhausting to use. Saw a reddit comment from 1-2 yrs ago suggesting a Darwin’s grip. Hadn’t used one before and wasn’t convinced it would make a huge difference but very, very happy to be proven wrong. Used it this evening and it was like using an entirely different tool in terms of ergonomics and the lack of strain. This is just a post for anyone considering the Snow Shovel attachment who is wary due to the additional weight compared to the standalone. TL;DR get a Darwin’s grip https://preview.redd.it/mjeegdq18g6g1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f2175d29d137d3959e4ae53eda60caedea41193 https://preview.redd.it/ld10odq18g6g1.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=68f6dc7e0b89dad2460e9d1e51c3d79e1470cb05 submitted by /u/reemasqooraf to r/egopowerplus [link] [comments]

EGO POWER+ 12" Electric Snow Shovel, Cordless - SNS1200 - Why so hard to find?
I just got an EGO 24" 2-stage blower and now want a cordless shovel, but I'm seeing these in very limited supply. Any thoughts on why? If you have one, how has it worked for you? Does the battery go in the lower auger housing? Can any ego battery work and it's just a matter of weight, or is the battery compartment limited to a certain battery size? How does it do over rough surfaces, like a flagstone deck? Do you just tilt it back a bit so the edge rides up some, not hitting the obstructions? Thanks... submitted by /u/Fender_Stratoblaster to r/egopowerplus [link] [comments]

Review of Ego 28" SNT2807 Snow Blower (versus Toro 28" 828LXE) in Central, WI
This year, I completed my transition from Toro gas-powered products to Ego, as I had started the transition several years ago. I currently have from Ego: 21" mower, 22" aluminum deck mower, 42" Z6 riding mower, leaf blower, trimmer, edger, chainsaw, snow blower, shop vac, portable light, and maybe some other items. 18 years ago, I purchased the Toro snow blower. Overall, it was a heavy beast. At times, it was difficult to start, but after I got the hang of it (or used electric start), it served me well for many winters in Central Wisconsin (Plover). I recently gave it away to a coworker where it'll continue working well for many winters to come. A couple of months ago, I purchased the Ego snow blower and hoped it would work well, given that I no longer had the Toro! Last night, we got around 6-10" (drifts in certain areas). I fired up the snow blower this morning and I have to say, it is AWESOME, as every product I've used from Ego is. They really think through their designs. Even though it wasn't a ton of snow, it was impressive how much power the snow blower has and how far it can throw. Also, it is significantly quieter than the Toro, and of course, no gas fumes! It's also nice that when stepping away to shovel or do something else, it is silent (effectively "off"). I can't wait for the next snow--hopefully deeper. I couldn't be happier with this snow blower and highly recommend it and every other Ego item I've ever purchased. I used around 40% of the (2-12 amp hour) batteries, putzing around a lot in the road to clear where the plow went through. For reference, my driveway would hold perhaps 7.5 vehicles. I bet I can get it done with 20-30% of the battery next time. PS the 28" snow blower has frequently been on sale for under $2100 on Amazon (prime), which I think is a great deal and is less than I paid. submitted by /u/moeharri to r/egopowerplus [link] [comments]

Recommendations on snow shovel (electric) & leafblower
Hi , I have looked online and found a tonne of snow blowers ranging from 100$ to 700$. I'm referring to the the ego+ 12 inch snow blower , green works 40v etc and some not so famous brands on Amazon as well. So I thought it's best to ask here to get a honest feedback based on real use case and not as part of paid sponsorship/ advertising. I'm confused by the videos online where some of them praise these for their performance and others not so much. Ideally I would like to get something portable which I can lift and move around rather than the heavy duty ones which weigh a lot as I'll need to carry this to the top of my deck. Here is my use case - I have a laned home so the snow blower would be mostly for clearing the sidewalks and my deck from any heavy snowfall that we usually receive here. I was also thinking since we have dry snow maybe a leaf blower might also be a good investment to go along with the snow blower after a quick pass since that might help clear out the remaining snow dust. I'm looking for something light as my deck is at an 8 feet height and might need to lift and carry this around to clear the snow from the deck. Bonus points if I can use it on the stairs as well. I am hoping I can get something within max of 500$ budget for the snow blower + a good enough battery. And maybe 300$ or so for the snow blower. It might be great if I can use the same battery on both? P.S I have injured my back in the past and cannot use the manual snow shovels as a result. Thank you in advance for your recommendations! submitted by /u/Alarming_Topic920 to r/Airdrie [link] [comments]

Snow shovel attachment
Just got ego powerplus powerhead with snow shovel attachment, as well as battery and charger from a friend who said they used it once last season with no problems. When I went to use it it starts and stops a few times and then when it finally starts and runs, there are wisps of smoke coming from a joint on the shaft near the bottom, just above the big snow shovel portion. I added gear lube just in case and same issues. I’d hate to have it all be a waste and I really don’t want to spend the money on a new attachment. Anyone else have this problem or have any ideas? Snow shovel attachment with adjustable chute
Anyone know if Ego is planning to release something similar? I saw the Garant model at the store. Looks pretty good, but I've seen a comparison video against the Ego snow shovel on youtube and Ego is more powerful. Still I really like the concept and this would be so much better than the regular electric snow shovel. Ego power shovel honest review March 3 2025
You want the fast answer? It's not worth it. Don't buy it! Juicy story: The day before, it rained and snowed as Minnesota's weather does. Temps were around 30s-40s Fahrenheit. I figured all that snow might freeze overnight (at the very bottom at least) possibly or end up really heavy at least. We had a reported 4 inches of snow. I was going to buy a power shovel for this good limit testing day. As I walked out the snow was up to 1-4 inches from my knees (I'm 5'9"). So I bought the ego shovel with the kit (battery and charger). And went to work. Out the box the unit without the battery feels very nice. With the battery it feels like it adds 5 pounds when you're actually working with it (mind you I had to pull the shovel up to my knees to process the heavy wet packed yet fluffy on the top snow). The only good thing was how fast the battery charged. Doing that heavy packed wet snow it took a bar and a half battery life. (Only charged the battery for 15 minutes and it got to 2 solid bars and the 3rd bar was flashing, mind you the battery was already at 1 solid bar) End of the story, a lightweight shovel will outperform this weak monster by 3 times. The only upsides for the ego unit is the directional plow, and charging speed, and finally it does help your lower back. No pain at all. But my shoulder and arms started burning because the snow was literally that bad. Wet snow packed but fluffy on the outside felt like a soft but frozen ice cream on the inside. In conclusion, there is no performance upsides, the unit spins too slow and the blades are ineffective against this kind of snow. Scenario consumer: I wanted a power shovel that wasn't heavy and not as expensive as a snowblower because I don't have much to snow. But on days it does snow, it'll hurt your back enough to consider buying some tool to help. I also wanted a power shovel that had a directional blow you could manually control (ego being the only one as of this moment). I had high expectations to perform well with this thing. It was not worth the 329 dollars to get this. I did enjoy setting it up though because it was easy like eating pie with a fork. But yeah, not worth it. Don't buy, I suggest waiting for the market to come up with better power shovels, or for Toro to come up with a better power snow shovel that can control blow direction. If you don't live in close proximity to your neighbors, I'd suggest the current Toro because judging from video reviews it will eat some types of snow/ice. Update: Get the power shovel for more light snow, bring out the 2 stage for really heavy packed wet snow. Thank you for your knowledge, considerations, and help. God bless you all. submitted by /u/Maleficent-Channel80 to r/egopowerplus [link] [comments]

EGO Snow blower owners: Would you buy again?
I have a 2 cycle Toro single stage that is from the early 90s that may die of rust before the engine goes but I sense the time is soon. I have a lot of other ego products that I am happy with. Considering an ego snow blower but would like to get some honest opinions first. I live in Pa. Most snows are sloppy messes or a couple inches of powdery stuff. Maybe one or two larger storms a year. My driveway is concrete pads and has a hill going down into my garage with retaining walls on both sides up to about 5 feet at the bottom so shoveling kinda sucks. I like the idea of the single stage with the metal auger but also wondering how the auger propelled single stage would work on a hill or on uneven concrete sidewalks if anyone has any experience with that. Ideally I would get the 2 stage but I can’t justify that price for a the usage it would get. submitted by /u/el_goate to r/egopowerplus [link] [comments]
