My very first office chair made those damages on the flooring long years ago when I suspected nothing about chair wheels. Ever since then I became over cautious, and whenever I bought a new chair I always replaced them with custom wheel such as Stealtho and it has always been fine. Trying to avoid using plastic mat on the floor though. Office chairs lately seem to have "developed" and most always mention its wheel is safe for flooring in its promotion but who knows. I hope I don't need to always use custom wheel whenever buying a new chair. Just to be safe, what wheel material should I really be looking for for a room with flooring? I've become the be all, end all person of choice for anything and everything. Supposedly an IT Director, yet I get knocks on my door for shit ranging from "Hey we got some office furniture delivered can you assemble this for us?" I can't take a vacation day without getting a text from an Executive saying "I need this application NOW I need you to install it" Affectively forcing me to go back to the hotel and miss a whole day of fun and festivities with my family. I get chastised about things from the CFO about how we need to be safe and talks about it in meetings, yet I get a call after hours because that SAME CFO clicked on a link doing personal shopping from her work laptop on company network and thinks she got a virus. I run everything SOLO within the company IT wise, maintenance wise, no one wants to use the ticketing system I created. AC Breaks? They call me, Toilet broken? They call me. Want to build 20 chairs? What I CAN tell you is, it's illegal to pay someone a salary exempt and work them like this without 3 key things. You have to have a minimum of 2 people you manage directly under you (I have no one) You have to make more than $32k a year (This is the only one I meet) My PRIMARY meaning above 50% work must be managing (I have no one beneath me) tasks. WIth the hard data I have 92% of my tickets emails and texts involve physical labor or maintenance tasks not even close to what my position is. Secondly because I do not meet that criteria this makes my status hourly and also means I am legally required status wise to be Engaged to Wait. Meaning ANYTHING over 40 hours is overtime (1.75x my hourly rate) and because I am solo this means I am expected to be Engaged to Wait 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If a server goes down I get the alerts I handle it day or night. I get phone calls any hour day or night. So, I pulled a record of EVERY ticket, Email, and Text. Ran that through a custom python script and pulled every single after hours ticket, email request you name it. Wrapped it all in a nice file for the the lawyer and the message I got back was a phone call saying "Are you ready to become a millionaire?" Yes, Yes I am. Fuck this industry and fuck everyone who's shit on my vacation time. Next step is lawyer is going to do an extensive review to make sure nothing gets missed and send out an email and demand letter with screenshots of evidences (just enough to show them they don't have a leg to stand on). Also turns out this lawyer is the HEAD of the Bar Association that their lawyers are a part of and the lawyer shed some light on the other boat load of shady things they have been caught doing in the past. This is just the tip of the iceberg apparently because I was forced to do work for another company that the CEO is spinning up another company, and made me use my labor to help create it. Hi all, I have LVP flooring in my home office and recently noticed two gaps forming between the planks. The gaps are located directly under my office chair mat. I’ve been using an IKEA floor protection mat the entire time, but it now looks like the mat hasn’t been sufficient to protect the floor. The floor is about 5 years old, and there is no damage anywhere else. Overall, I've actually been very happy with the flooring. Luckily, I have a few spare planks in storage, so I’m planning to replace the damaged ones. However, I’d really like to prevent this from happening again. What type of chair wheels would you recommend for LVP flooring? Is there anything else I can do to prevent this in the future? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hi, first post on here and on Reddit in general. I'm a tenant, have little ideas about flooring, and I've been having a problem. A few months back I've replaced an old chair with a new one with the plastic castors (old ones had polyurethane wheels that couldn't fit the new chair). Thought it wouldn't be a problem until I looked under my floor mat (IKEA plastic mat) and saw cracks in the flooring where I sit. I moved to another spot to be sure I didn't continue ruining that part of the floor. I changed the wheels to the polyurethane ones, and I just discovered earlier tonight that the floor still cracked. I did send a maintenance request to the landlord company a few months ago (never responded), so I just sent another request tonight. I'm honestly not sure what to do now and I'm angry at myself over it. I am thinking of ordering a tempered glass mat, but for now, should I move back to the old spot to be sure that I won't damage any other part of the floor? trying to figure out the best type/brand of plastic floor covering i can cover my carpet floor with, and that won't break or scrunch under the weight of my power wheelchair. i'll have to try and tetris it i think, put a bunch of mats right next to each other, but its the only solution i can really think of because we rent. i have to have my chair in a tilted/extended position almost every second i am in it, to try and manage severe pain, but i have to tilt it so much that the speed-lock gets engaged. initially my ATP had said that they'd be able to remove the speed-lock, OR change at what speed it locks me down to, etc. BUT turns out only certain brands can do that, and mine does not. and it is SO SLOW. (its frustrating in particular because even the elevation feature on their website advertises itself that you can be fully elevated and go up to 3mph! but my chair doesnt let me, and the ATP said the actual company has a policy of it. even if i was to sign something that relieves them of possible liability, they wont/cant unlock it.) but literally, if its elevated and the speed lock engages, then its moves at a crawling speed. if i am on the tile and wood in other rooms, then at least the chair can move in all directions, but it still cant get over the slight bump where wood and tile meets. the biggest issue though, is it cannot drive on carpet. like literally. it can sometimes start to go a mm a sec if straight forward. but it cannot move in ANY direction except STRAIGHT forward, an sometimes it just cannot even move forward. the engines are too weak when the speed lock is engaged (which i need to be in a seating position that engages it near-constantly), which means i cannot use my chair on my carpet. so, its important i think that the plastic mat also is hard enough that my chair doesnt just like sink into the plastic almost? (im not sure how to describe that.) and so that it wont break/crack from the weight of my chair as well. i also dont know if anyone has any idea if its a better idea to get more smaller pieces that can be laid next to each other, or get less but larger pieces. for ease of driving ontop of, or any other reasons i cant think of? i live in the usa (unfortnately), in regards to where/what i have access to. i would love any advice or recommendations, thank you! submitted by /u/Sudden_Rain1085 to r/wheelchairs [link] [comments]

My boss hired his son and he shares an office with me. The kid reeks. Imagine you stick a brick of cheddar cheese between a pair of buttcheeks that haven’t been washed in two weeks and that’s what he smells like. Every time he gets up I spray his chair with Lysol but it barely helps. I bitched about it to my boss (who is his dad) and asked if he could talk to the kid about it and he said he will when he gets around to it for almost two months now. I (29m) worked at a small company as a salesman for the better part of 4 years. As my sales went up my income went down due to restructuring etc. Meanwhile, my boss & I would butt heads pretty frequently but (somehow) not enough to get fired. On my last day, they took my accounts away in the morning but wanted me to stay until 3 for an exit interview. I had already cleaned out my desk and legitimately had nothing to do but wait. There ended up being a box and a half of business cards left over (≈700) that I hid EVERYWHERE. I didn't leave stacks here or there. I hid every individual one. My bosses shades were up so I tucked close to 50 in between the shutters. When the shades close it will rain. I put them under peoples see through rubber mats for their chairs. I tucked them into unused rolls of paper towels so they fell one by one when in the dispenser. We also had a small warehouse with hundreds of boxes. Every single open box ended up with my business card in them. They are hidden throughout the first aid kit, behind pieces of art on the wall, lining the conference room windows, you name it. They will be finding my cards for YEARS to come. Paid scripted YT collabs CEO lying about everything on YT to gain empathy & trust of viewers False info on the product page to get sales. Reviews: Hide/Delete negative reviews: All products on their website have an average rating of 4.5 or 5 stars, they hide/delete negative reviews. Most reviews are unverified too which means they did not come from a customer via direct website purchase (it's auto tracked via customer email). We daily see customer posting problems with their products in kreo subreddit and Indiangaming subreddit etc, but their website has 5 stars for Kreo Chimera lmao. On Amazon, they group different products under one page (selecting different variants options on same page) so the top review number count is increased when each products is reviewed. But trick is Amazon then shows same "top reviews" under all variants. But if you switch it manually to "most recent" you'll see the reality, pages filled with negative reviews by buyers. But, most of us won't realize this until we know this dirty trick. For eg: Go to Kreo Ikarus amazon page (6k INR product grouped with Kreo Hawk 1k INR product), it has 120 reviews. That's a huge number for a product launched 1-1.5 months ago. Same with Kreo Hive, 276 reviews, all positive comments on amazon, but if you click "most recent" you'll only see complaints. Nothing wrong with OEMs but, Kreo team themselves don't have any understanding of products, they had no one, not a single person in product team before they brought Hardware mana onboard, they just bought a few OEMs and got started. In their AMA on r/indiangaming their CEO specifically mentioned that "they have exclusive contracts with the factories and don't do OEM/drop shipping", which is a lie. There is no exclusivity in OEMs, Any company can place the order with a negotiated MOQ and buy it, and Chinese factories don't think twice if 2 or more companies sell same product in same country. Why will they not want more money & business? Cosmic Byte does the same as OEM, but at least they don't lie & fraud their users. and I guess Sunny (hardware mana) is also not a great supporter of Kreo, cuz I've never seen him talking positively about Kreo. He tries to be unbiased YES, BUT, general team/culture-wise he doesn't speak on it, keeps his YT away cuz he knows the company itself is doing shady things and he doesn't want to reflect that on his hardworked YT. I'd like to point out to all readers here, Kreo is a new brand, if so many units are failing so early within weeks and months, just imagine the number of claims from users who bought 7-8 months ago. The average number will go up significantly higher. The customer support will automatically not be able to support your claims and I'm confident they'll use dirty tricks to delay/ignore warranty for users in their 12th-13th months so it can go out of warranty and no losses for the brand. Kreo promised they'll try to bring product cost down to VXE R1 or ATK F1, but dude? No global brand has been able to do it either, Pulsar Lamzu any big brand. WHY? Cuz VXE ATK VGN brands are from factories themselves, there is no client (like kreo or pulsar or Glorious or Cosmicbyte) in between, the factories are selling directly to customers from VXE, ATK, VGN brands (which are all same factory), how will you match that price? My ( F39) fiance Jason ( M39) and I have been together for 3 years, engaged for 6 months. We live together. His brother Chuck (M38) is a mess and we don't get along. Chuck is super into conspiracy theories, loves to ride coat tails and the string of exes that hate him could fill up a highway. The story is very much the same in every case. He meets the girl, does some serious love bombing, gains access to her things, then cheats, gets caught and gets dumped. Rinse and repeat. I tried to keep a distant but cordial relationship with him until I learned that one of his exes almost self offed and he seemed flattered. Also, his jokes began to get more and more personal until I realized that he was just brazen and disrespectful. I cut ties with him and this has caused severe problems in my relationship with Jason. Chuck started a relationship with Emma early this year. She seems to be well to do and let him use her car. I don't have the entire story but supposedly, she broke up with him while he was out of town. She kept asking for her car back and he kept pushing the date to return it. So she called the police and reported it as stolen. She took him back a few weeks later, only to end things abruptly. We had to go pick Chuck up at a train station. All his belongings were inside trash bags. He had no money for a ticket or even for a meal. He was visibly agitated, and Jason called me out for showing no interest. Then Chuck explained why it happened. I was expecting it. He got caught cheating and all broke loose. He even lost his job because he worked for her close friend and was locked out of the house. Jason asked me to let his brother sleep over at our place so I agreed because it was already too late at night. I was very specific that I will not live with his brother under the same roof. Chuck moved in with his close friend but has already been told that he needs to leave. Jason asked me to give his brother a chance which is a huge NO for me, and he's gone from begging me to demanding. I went into our bedroom and found Chuck sleeping on our bed. I have no words to describe how much I hate him. He always destroys everything. I think he also went into my small office space in the family room because my chair was moved into the living room. I called Jason immediately. I wanted him to deal with his brother but I didn't get any support. He yelled at me and said I was fucking around and was about to find out and it sounded like a threat to break up. "Hello new neighbors! I have some big asks. We just moved to the area and the precious family before us left us with… a disaster. So, during the move, things got broken or lost or we had to sell to finance the move itself. My biggest things at the moment are: Laptop. I work from home quite frequently and mine stopped charging. It’s not helping me financially provide for what we lost if I can’t work. Counter height bar stools. We don’t have a dining table and I can’t let my kids eat anywhere but the dining room… which is empty. I don’t mind standing, but they’re not having a good time. Sitting them at the counter would be so helpful. Biggest ask: washer and dryer. The ones I had before were my previous landlords. I have 5 kids and work in healthcare. We are cleaning and repairing 2 homes.. I don’t have time or fuel to sit at a laundromat. Pretty prettty please! As mentioned, a dining room table and chair would be fabulous. We need a decent size one… 4-6 seats if possible. My son is doing online school since we moved out of his district at the very end of the year. His card take he was using for his computer desk collapsed during the move and he’s sitting on his bedroom floor for hours trying to do school work everyday. He has a chair, just need a desk to put his tower and monitor on. Since I also do a lot of work from home, I could use a desk and office chair as well. I’m not picky.
