After the first release promotion, the Pura X Max has revealed two other colors, a more muted purple that Huawei calls Phantom Night Black and quite an interesting Olive Gold. The other colors are Lively Orange, Zero Degree White and this purplish blue color that Huawei calls Interstellar Blue. Just seen these posts on Red Note and looks like a Max version of Pura X will be released in China on 20 April. I really love the aspect ratio and if I can afford it I would like it alongside my Pura x. Hoping this might be a global version but unsure as yet. They are showing these colours. Hello! We just bought a Petkit Pura Max and were really excited to try it as we heard great things about it. However, after a day, we realised that the cleaning function doesn’t work properly. Specifically, the clumps stay on the mat after a cleaning cycle. We’ve tried both the auto-clean function (that triggers after our cat lets go of waste) and the manual cleaning cycle, but neither of them worked. To try and figure out what went wrong, we took a video of the internal mixture as it went through the cleaning cycle. Later on, when we tried experimenting with the different options, we realised that triggering the “dump all litter” function (but without the cover piece on) managed to clean all the clumps. We noticed in particular that the drum rotated backwards more than the normal cleaning cycle. From this, we suspect (?) that perhaps the drum doesn’t rotate as far back as it should during the cleaning cycle. Has anyone encountered this problem? And if so, how did you manage to resolve it? Hey all, *RE-POST: Reddit does not let me add/remove videos from video posts....* I've purchased the Puramax 2 around 2 months ago in preparation for my new kitten and I've been using it for 4 days now. I've made a post earlier today about the leak and I wasn't sure how my 5.5 month old british shorthair is peeing. I now managed to get a video of how he goes, he seems to push his legs against the left side of the wall and just pees directly into the litter pad seams. The urine from today when I checked the bottom barrel/drum? Has more build up on the left so I'm going to assume this is his regular position when he does his business. The question now is, is there a way to fix this behavior or does anyone have a solution to prevent leaks from happening when he's peeing from this angle? Litter used: Arm & Hammer no Cloud of Nasties Clay Litter. I'm in the process of transitioning him to Tofu Litter so it's mixed right now. Hi all, I've been looking into automatic litter boxes and have narrowed my search done to these 4. LR4: I would be going with one of their refurbished ones, and also getting a hopper and ramp (possibly third party for that), so around $750 before any coupons or whatever. I do like they're made in USA and I love you can get replacement parts for pretty much all of it if needed. Their app seems to be the most feature-packed as well. It seems to be the most recommended around, well, everywhere, but I've also seen a lot of complaints, like "smearing" up the walls from some people/videos and a lot of complaints of sensors getting dirty and needing to be cleaned or saying the globe isn't seated when it is. I imagine part of that is because they are the most popular, that they do have the most people using them and so even if only a small part have issues that's still a lot of people. HomeRunPet CS106: Very new, but from what I can see comparing it to the LR4 I honestly like it the best, at least hardware-wise it seems the most "complete". Comes with a hopper (honestly annoyed that the LitterRobot5 or 5 Pro didn't with their price, if it did I'd probably straight up get it), 2 different sifters, larger interior space (at the exterior space's cost, but not a big deal for me). Price is also more affordable, can get it and it's full starter pack brand new for around $40 less than a refurbished LR4, ramp, and hopper... Main turn-off for me is it is newer so less info, and I really don't like you can't just order replacement parts (from what I could find), if that was an option I'd straight up pick this one. Having a separate drawer for dumping litter when doing cleaning/maintenance is cool though, even has a little nook for storing liners and stuff from what I can see. PuraMax 2: Seems around average, nothing stand-out, main complaint I've seen is difficulty cleaning the "chute" the waste goes through to the box. Main draw is the price which is much more affordable, same for the Neakasa as well, to the point of almost being able to get 2 for the price of 1 of the LR4 or CS106, which means I could put in a couple rooms. I do think I remember a couple complaints of pee sometimes running under the globe? Neakasa M1: Similar to the PuraMax the main draw is the affordability, around the same price as it. The open design is supposedly more attractive to a lot of cats. I know there were some accidents with it unfortunately, but they seemed to react quickly and produce a solution and provided it to existing customers for free, which is "reassuring" I suppose? Also easier to refill compared to the PuraMax but not a big deal. At the moment I think I'm leaning to the LR4, with thoughts of getting a second down the line once I save up a bit more money. Main reason is the replacement parts, where if there are issues after warranty I can just get replacements and fix it, so it's more of a long-term investment, meanwhile the others if I get them and something happens after warranty I may be SOL. That said I'm really tempted by the HomeRunPet because it does seem a little better overall (from what I've seen the LR4 would probably be around 7.5/10 and the HomeRunPet around 8, imo) it's just that I really like the repair-ability of the LR4... The other two are also tempting, as they're less of an investment and I'd be more able to get two for different areas of the house. I will say, one thing I've noticed with LitterRobots in general is they seem to be having similar issues to iRobot and their Roombas, where they're just not really innovating anymore? Like, the LR5 the only real improvements seem to be a little more interior space and an improvement where pee can't leak into the wiring, then the pro has cameras and AI detection, and only for like $200 more than the PuraMax Ultra or whatever it's called which has a lot of it's same features. Then they're introducing a subscription service (to be fair, storing and streaming video is fairly costly), then it's released with some of the accessories not being ready, mainly the hopper, but you've been working on this for several years and it's still not ready? Actually, for that matter why does it have to change from the one for the LR4, where you can just re-use it if you already have one for the LR4? Keep the same attachment point and if needed adjust the part inside the globe if needed... Sorry I know it's a lot of complaining for someone that doesn't own one, lol. As the title suggests, we opened the magnetic cover to find a solid streak of cat s*** all the way in the inside of it. The air purifying canister was also leaking. I know buying preowned obviously means there will be wear and tear, a few dings etc but it very much seems like PETKIT have just received this product from a previous customer, threw a new manual into the drum and sent it away without ANY sanitation process.
