Most couples would sleep better and argue less if they stopped treating separate beds like a relationship failure
I honestly think a huge number of couples would be happier, sleep better, and argue less if sleeping in separate beds wasn’t treated like some relationship failure. People have completely different: sleep schedules, body temperatures, snoring levels, blanket preferences and movement during sleep And somehow we still act like forcing two people into the same bed every night is the ultimate sign of relationship success. Meanwhile a lot of couples are secretly: sleeping badly, waking each other up constantly, losing sleep for years, and pretending it’s romantic I genuinely think older generations had a point with separate beds sometimes. Wanting good sleep does not automatically mean the relationship is cold, distant, or unhealthy. If anything, being well-rested probably helps the relationship more than pretending sleep deprivation is intimacy. submitted by /u/TrayzTheyCallMe to r/unpopularopinion [link] [comments]

Does such a large number of Humans having sleep apnea/snoring/sleep issues Imply that human beings are not sleeping how our bodies intend ?
as someone who has suffered with poor sleep quality my whole life and searched for fixes the ones i come across are -cpap machines (basically forcing air down your airways to keep it open) - wearing a mouth piece whilst sleeping (brings your lower jaw forward) - surgery to reduce the Muscle in your throat that "relaxes" when you sleep and partially blocks your airway. none of these address the core issue which is the Genioglossus muscle : the main muscle that keeps the tongue forward. When it relaxes too much during sleep, the tongue can fall backward and partially block the airway. So does this not imply we are fundamentally sleeping wrong? and has anyone ever experimented with different methods (one that i always thought about was a bed that resembles one of those beds you use at a massage parlour with a face cutout which enables you to sleep so that the Genioglossus muscle relaxing during rest would not cause a blockage of the airway because its being governed by gravity edit: i am fit and healthy, not overweight (nor are plenty of people i know who suffer with these issues, though of course i recognise that it would certainly contribute to the issue) submitted by /u/Teds_red_cabin to r/NoStupidQuestions [link] [comments]

Been sleeping 8 hours every night and still waking up wrecked - turns out I was looking at the wrong number
For months I was convinced I was doing everything right. In bed by 10:30, up at 6:30, eight solid hours. Still dragging through mornings, still needing two coffees before I felt like a person. Started actually looking at my sleep stages breakdown instead of just the total hours. My deep sleep was consistently under 30 minutes. REM was all over the place. The bulk of what I was getting was light sleep - basically just lying there with my eyes closed. Looked into it and apparently this is really common. Most people hit their hour targets and stop there. But deep sleep is where physical recovery actually happens, and REM is where your brain consolidates memory and processes stress. Neither of those cares how many hours you were technically asleep. Two things made a noticeable difference for me: cutting caffeine off earlier in the afternoon and dropping the late-night drinks. Even one or two drinks was apparently suppressing my REM pretty aggressively. First week of making those changes my deep sleep nearly doubled. Mornings felt different almost immediately. Anyone else gone down this rabbit hole? Curious what other people found actually moved the needle on their sleep stages, not just total hours. submitted by /u/neelkonar to r/AppleWatch [link] [comments]

Good mattresses, trying to get rid of Sleep Number
I have had a sleep number for about 8 years now and I am tired of the bed not being comfy no matter what setting it's on and the customer service isn't great. My wife and I are looking for a mattress that is medium firm and will last longer than 3-4 years ( we had a pillow top before the Sleep Number and it was sagging and sinking after 4-5 years). Having the air bladders is also agrivating if we move to the middle if the bed as well. I'm looking for recommendations on mattresses and companies that stand behind their products that will last awhile. Please and thank you for any and all recommendations. submitted by /u/mmoore031908 to r/Mattress [link] [comments]

Employee Experience: Why Sleep Number is Failing
Working at Sleep Number as a Sleep Professional often feels like a slow-motion exercise in patience and quiet frustration. The stores themselves can be eerily quiet, customer traffic is frequently low, especially outside peak seasons or in certain locations. Days stretch out with long periods of downtime where you're essentially waiting for someone to wander in and when people do show up, the interactions can be drawn-out because the beds are high-ticket items with lots of tech features to demo, but the volume just isn't there to keep things consistently busy. A big chunk of the job ends up being fielding endless customer service questions that corporate has no interest or capacity in handling directly because customer support has been heavily outsourced, so anything remotely complicated, and I’ve handled it all: returns, warranty issues, delivery problems, app glitches, gets kicked right back to the store level. You're left playing middleman, troubleshooting over the phone or in person with frustrated buyers who already tried the "official" channel and got nowhere, it creates a cycle of repetitive, draining service work that isn't really what most people signed up for when they thought they'd be selling innovative sleep tech. Compensation is, well, dreadful. Hourly wages are laughably substandard for the level of responsibility involved, often hovering around what you'd make scooping ice cream. Commissions exist in theory, but with low traffic flow and our goaling system completely broken (senior management has admitted this, and they do NOT care) I know many employees and they struggling to make ends meet, especially as hours get cut or commission rates feel continually squeezed. It's hard to feel valued when your pay doesn't reflect the emotional labor, product knowledge, or problem-solving required. They cram three people onto the floor in stores that are limping along at far less than $3 million in annual volume, often way, WAAAAY less turning the place into a pathetic and embarrassing battlefield where you're all politely clawing over the same handful of sales like starving hyenas fighting for scraps. Even on a so-called “good” day, you're splitting those crumbs three ways, resulting in commission payouts so tiny they wouldn't cover rent in 2006, let alone 2026. It's the textbook bait-and-switch: corporate sells the job as commission-heavy with “huge earning potential,” then strands you with unattainable goals where survival means scraping by on next to nothing. And the turnover? Astronomical. The third person ALWAYS quits, usually within months, because the math doesn't work, sub-40 hour work week, at $16ish/HR? The emotional toll becomes unbearable. Then the cycle starts all over again: post the job, hire the next desperate soul, rinse, repeat. Meanwhile, the district managers are in full panic mode, sweating bullets over the possibility that their Region Director might notice a red or yellow mark on their stupid Excel spreadsheet tracking store metrics. They're not worried about the human beings burning out and walking away, they're terrified of a BAD color on a dashboard that might ding their bonus or get them yelled at in the next Teams call. It's peak corporate dysfunction: frontline employees get ground into dust, but the middle managers are laser-focused on protecting their own metrics and money at all costs. Facts don't care about your feelings, and the facts here show a company that's bleeding talent while pretending everything's fine as long as the spreadsheet looks passable. And on the corporate side: senior management “leadership” (on what, the Titanic?) is increasingly detached, having outsourced all their brains and ALL thinking entirely to Microsoft Copilot to churn out emails, presentations, and directives that are robotic and impersonal. Authentic communication has completely vanished, like the dinosaurs all messages are formulaic, overly polished, and devoid of real personality. This trickles down into our day-to-day: our schedule is just sitting waiting, interspersed with meaningless busy work, mandatory "skill practice" modules, repetitive teams chat calls that rehash the same metrics and motivational platitudes, and endless circular conversations that accomplish little beyond filling time. It creates a Groundhog Day feeling where you're perpetually "training" or "aligning" without any meaningful progress or impact. Mind you, these district leaders are making over six figures and producing exactly nothing, writing zero business to contribute but claiming victory when we, the sleep professionals, eek out a daily win. If you’re looking for a job, not a career (minus the worries of bankruptcy every single day) with decent benefits in some cases, and you don't mind many slow days, low pay, no 401K match, and the ability to fall asleep at work and literally no one will notice, Sleep Number might fit. But for anyone expecting dynamic sales environment, compensation meant for adults living in 2026, not 1999, empowered problem-solving, or genuine leadership, it's often a disappointing grind that leaves you questioning why you're here, like I am. submitted by /u/SleepDumber to r/sleepnumber [link] [comments]

YSK: New Parents lose about 1,000 hours of sleep in their baby's first year, and it doesn't fully recover for 6 years
Why YSK: Everyone jokes about new parents being tired but nobody talks about the actual numbers. They're worse than you think and knowing this before having kids can help you actually prepare. There was a study where they followed around 4,600 parents over several years. Turns out new parents lose about 2 hours of sleep a night for the first five months, then about an hour a night until the kid is two. That works out to roughly 700 hours in the first year alone. About 44 days of sleep just gone. The part that surprised me is that it doesn't bounce back. Sleep doesn't go back to normal for about 6 years after the kid is born. It's not just the newborn phase. You've got toddler nightmares, bedwetting, early wake ups, kids crawling into your bed at 3am. It just keeps going. And if you have a second kid before recovering from the first one, the deficits stack on top of each other. Two kids two years apart and you could be running on broken sleep for close to a decade. I always thought the tired parent thing was exaggerated. Then I actually looked into the research and realized it's probably underestimated because people stop tracking and just accept it as normal. If you're thinking about having kids, seriously plan for sleep support ahead of time. Split nights with your partner, take up your parents on the offer to help, whatever it takes. You'll need it way longer than the newborn phase. Sources: Richter et al., 2019, published in Sleep: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30649536/ UK parent sleep surveys found parents lose roughly 44 days of sleep in year one a calculator that adds up your total lifetime sleep debt based on your age, kids, and work schedule: sleepdebt.attentionworth.com submitted by /u/GrowthMLR to r/YouShouldKnow [link] [comments]

Our dog isn’t allowed to sleep in bed with us anymore and it’s breaking my heart
My dog (basset hound, 7yo) has nearly always slept in bed with us. A number of factors have lead to our decision to have him sleep downstairs now, rather than upstairs in our bed. The first being I am due with a baby in a few months and strongly believe dogs and kids should never be left alone together when I cannot supervise 100% of the time, ie: when I’m asleep and baby is in the bassinet next to me. The second being he lately will not sleep through the night, he gets up every hour and whines to go outside. I don’t think this is a health problem, sometimes he just wants his water or he wants to sit in the middle of the backyard and look at the moon. I keep telling myself this will be a positive change, we’ll all sleep better, he won’t be hurting his aging joints climbing our steep stairs or jumping up onto our bed, but I can’t help but think I’ve betrayed him. Any experience with how a change like this impacts your pet? Will the guilt ever end? Edit to add: To clarify as I realized I may have worded some portions of my post poorly: He does always have access to water. He regularly and recently went to the vet, I appreciate the suggestions for other things the vet could look at and will bring it up with them! Again, every time he gets up is not to go to the bathroom or get water, those are some examples. I go out with him and the majority of the time he just wants to wander outside. We do not keep him outside all night at all, we come back in together and he sleeps on the couch. I am home with him all day and spend time with him constantly, he in no way is being “tossed aside” because of a new baby. He has never been crated and has always slept in our bed, trying to get him to sleep next to our bed without jumping up would be nearly impossible. I wouldn’t be opposed to slowly introducing a crate so he has his own space that he can escape too when the house gets busy with people. To the people who have commented genuinely helpful advice/experience, thank you! submitted by /u/happygolucky1157 to r/dogs [link] [comments]

A bed to sleep on
I had sex with my boyfriend last night. We don’t have enough sex, he says. It’s not hard to make him happy, he says. We just need to have more sex for him to be nice, he says. Sex felt like sex I haven’t had in almost a decade. The kind you have with someone a bit too pushy a few dates in, where it’s easier to let it happen than to fight back, knowing you’ll delete their number in the morning. Sex you disconnect from. Watching the light on a book stand move back and forth, registering your body only in layers of abstraction. Or, later in life, doing what you’re told to get it over with faster, mentally planning the route home for the next morning. Sex as a chore. As a place to sleep. As a way to avoid a fight. I didn’t realise how bad that felt, then. I can’t delete my boyfriend’s number. I can’t plan my route home. We own a house. I just quit my job. The relief - potential relief - came from my naivety that he might start being nice. First thing this morning I asked “silly questions” when I made us coffee. Voice raised, angry that I didn’t “just look” for the sweetener he moved last night. It was silly of me to think he’d be nice, I suppose. Sex is a bed to sleep on again. Not painful. I’ll miss the intimacy of how it was. The risk of not enough sex, every break up threat, feels like the risk of homelessness. At least there’s a bed to sleep on. submitted by /u/leapowl to r/TwoXChromosomes [link] [comments]

My Husband Wakes Me Up Multiple Times Every Night
I (40F) am very health conscious and I like to go to bed early, around 9:30. I have a young child and like to ensure that I get enough sleep even when woken early. My husband (39M) chooses to go to bed a bit later. I don’t mind when I wake up when he comes to bed, but lately he’s decided that he needs to turn the bright overhead light on every time he comes to bed so he can see to get himself ready to sleep. He used to just use the flashlight on his phone, but says he doesn’t want to feel like he has to tiptoe around. This is in issue for me because not only does it wake me up, but makes it more difficult to fall back to sleep because I’m more fully awake. He also refuses to put his phone on do not disturb mode at night. I’m not even sure why, but just flatly refuses. I know it’s very simple to set your phone up to accept messages and calls from certainly numbers and I don’t know why this would not be an option for him. It usually goes off at least once or twice a night. It wakes me up, though it does not seem to bother him. I’ve become increasingly frustrated with the multiple wakings and I’ve definitely yelled at him during the night. I find it disrespectful to another person who is a light sleeper to not take small simple steps to help them sleep better. He sees this as me trying to control him. I have always been a light sleeer and sleep has always been an issue between us. AITA? submitted by /u/amcrowl1 to r/AITAH [link] [comments]

Good bed until you move
The bed itself is great, very comfortable, and it sleeps well. But don’t ever move with it. That’s where the nightmare starts. I hired Sleep Number to take down and reassemble my bed during a move, and ever since then, it’s been one problem after another. Their technicians had to keep coming back to do patchwork fixes, and I kept getting the runaround from customer service whenever I asked about replacement parts. To make matters worse, they told me a part was broken during the move they helped with, and then charged me $700 to replace it. By the time it was all said and done, I had spent about $1,100 just to move my mattress. Considering the high price of these mattresses, the customer service is shockingly poor. The bed may sleep well, but the hassle and cost of dealing with Sleep Number’s service just isn’t worth it. submitted by /u/Flashy-Air-8962 to r/sleepnumber [link] [comments]

Repost with different title. I just left my job at Sleep Number after 3 years. If you have questions or concerns I have 100% honest answers.
If you have questions I have answers. Personally I think they are 100% over priced for mid quality foam that rips easily and essentially zero passive cooling ability. Adjustable firmness is nice but the bases are made by Legget and Platt so they charge 5x more than industry standard bases. submitted by /u/ThaiStick541 to r/Mattress [link] [comments]

Are sleep numbers worth the price?
We're in the market for a new bed, our puffy is at the end of its life which considering it's only 5 years old is pretty bad. My husband tioned sleep number since they have their memorial Day sale going on which some of the beds are 50% off..but they are still $2.5k +! Are these beds really worth it? My husband and I do have very different preferences for mattresses. I like plush and suffer from really nasty arthritis in my back and occipital neurologa with nerve damage which means I'm in a lot of pain. This causes me to toss and turn or "crocodile roll" as my husband puts it. He likes really firm beds but he sleeps really hot. Was looking at the purple mattress as we have the pillows and like them but I see a bunch of bad reviews for the beds. I don't like temper I've laid on a few in store and my back starts screaming instantly. submitted by /u/Director_Tseng to r/Mattress [link] [comments]

Neighbors convinced I'm making noise lat at night
I live above an elderly woman who has been sending in reports to the office about noise coming from my apartment late at night. I live with 3 of my siblings and while most of us are night owls, one isn't. The one who isn't sleeps on the couch so the rest of us do our best to stay quiet at night so he can sleep. After several noise complaints and one warning, I decided to go to the office to figure it out. I wound up also speaking to the lady who kept sending in noise complaints and gave her my number. She seemed super sweet, and I thought things had been settled very civilly. Last night, I got back from a week and a half vacation visiting my long distance boyfriend. I recieved this message today. We were all exhausted from driving home from the airport last night that we went to bed early and all crashed out. My neighbor, however, insists that we were awake and being noisy past midnight last night. I've spoken to all my siblings and it 100% was not us. I know I could just ignore it, but the issue is she kept reporting us. I don't want to get into trouble when I know it's not us. I know the sound travels weird in this apartment complex, as I have heard sounds above me that I know were from the apartment next door. What should I do in this situation? I want to remain civil, but I can't have her reporting me to the office anytime some other neighbor makes a noise. Any advice would be appreciated. submitted by /u/Mr-Reapy to r/Apartmentliving [link] [comments]

Boyfriend (26M) kept pestering my friend (28F) to let a guy (26M) she barely knows to sleep in the same bed as her at an air bnb. I'm tired of arguing with boyfriend over this 4 days later. How do I handle this?
Long background story short. A friend who's not involved in this situation was hosting an engagement party on Phillip island (it's in Australia) at her parents house last weekend. It just worked out cheaper to host guests there than rent a whole massive venue. I rented an Airbnb with the idea where some my boyfriend, myself and some friends would all stay there for Saturday/Sunday instead of driving back to Melbourne right away. I made an honest mistake and miscalculated the number of bedrooms. It was myself, my boyfriend, James and Rachel (they're a couple), Chase and Destiny staying at the house. I realised my mistake as soon as I arrived. I thought on the listing it was 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms but it was the other way around. So we were short one bedroom. Chase and Destiny knew each other through us. They didn't get close or exchange numbers until this last weekend. Destiny and Chase arrived. I explained the situation. Again, I explained it was my fault. I offered to sleep on the couch. Chase said he would sleep on the couch and he didn't mind. Destiny and Chase were on the same paige that it would be weird. Destiny thanked him and that's all it should have been. Destiny and Chase spent a majority of Saturday talking to each other, and that's what I think sent my partner into this mindset. Over dinner. He started to push for Chase to sleep in the same bed as her mentioning it's cold. Chase said he really doesn't mind sleeping on the couch. He mentioned it again as we were leaving the restaurant. Chase again said to forget it. He would do this several times. The weekend passes and we go home. 4 days later and my partner is still bringing up how unfair it was for me to not push for the two of them to be in the same bed. That Chase never stands up for himself, or takes initiative to talk to talk to girls. Said he was just trying to help Chase. It's been a constant argument and I'm just so tired from it. submitted by /u/throwRA46373728373 to r/relationship_advice [link] [comments]

I yelled at my boyfriend for letting his crazy pregnant ex gf sleep at our place in our bed and I don’t know what to do.
Hello everyone, I’m 19F and I’m very lost at what to do, my boyfriend who’s 23M found out he has a baby on the way by his baby mama texting him a couple days ago and didn’t tell me right then and there, he also called her his crazy ex because she was very abusive towards him. Let me give you a story on how this all happened. Yesterday morning I woke up to a text from my boyfriend telling me that his crazy ex girlfriend texted him on another number saying that she was pregnant with his child and she’s due in four months, I was shocked and taken back by the message since I had just woken up from the best sleep ever, I was honestly kinda upset but I didn’t freak out. I decided that it was going to be better to think this through now then do it later, I sat and waited patiently for him to come home and I talked to him. We contacted his lawyer and told his lawyer what was going on (I told her) I was getting pissed cause he was hovering around me and I needed space, he ended up calling his crazy ex girlfriend asking her what is she gonna do and what was going to happen, to me it felt like I was sitting in the dark just watching two lives unfold infront of my own eyes, no information, no answers, not a single thing. After an hour of him being blinded by his own anger and hatred we got in the car, originally it was to get gas and cigarettes but after he got gas he had said “I’m going to go see her” which to me made me feel unsafe, he’s told me she’s done drugs while pregnant and that she used to beat him before. I’m not a person who is good with confrontation but when I’ve had enough I mean I’ve had ENOUGH! Anyways, he was driving like a mad man, pretty sure he broke a million rules while being on his phone calling her non stop, texting non stop.by this point I’m having a full on anxiety attack and I’m thinking I’m gonna die, I started writing in my notes on if I die then this is what happens and how everything unfolded and that I love and forgive everyone who did me wrong, to not be sad but be happy that I’m happy now. From where she lives it’s a 30 minute drive but we were there in 20 minutes. He told me to stay in the car, don’t leave whatever I heard, don’t say or do anything. That day I spent 5 hours in the car having a literal panic attack, my hands were tingling, heart was hurting, I had palpitations, I couldn’t breath, I was crying and shaking, the back of my head was on fire I thought I was for sure dead so I just accepted my fate basically and said “goodbye”. But that didn’t happen, anyway we came back yesterday, he was crying, freaking out, yelling at her and saying that it should die, that he was going to kill her and her lil boyfriend. I haven’t said a single word to him this entire time, I didn’t even let him touch me. We went home tired and sour stomach from the adrenaline rush, I honestly wanted to die that day. I woke up this morning to him kissing me on my cheek and saying I love you, I fell back to sleep only to wake up feeling like complete crap and numb, I decided to ask my family to come pick me up and I told my grandma on the way to her house, my cousin was also in the car when I said what was going on, I later told my aunt who I cried with about it for a long time because I was scared, only to find a text from my boyfriend saying he got counselling her, him and the baby, I felt so left out in the cold I was pissed, but I didn’t wanna say anything so I stayed quiet. After a while he texted me again saying that she was going to stay at his house until everything is sorted out, now I don’t trust anyone at all, a random woman sleeping in our bed pissed me off. I finally had enough and snapped, I told him I’m moving out and I didn’t care what he felt, we got into a huge argument and it lasted for an hour, I told him that he didn’t even know if it was his so why is he giving her the time and day? I ended up packing my shit and leaving, he later came to my house and talked about it. I’m lost. What do I do? submitted by /u/blaze_the_only_1 to r/offmychest [link] [comments]

My gf sleeps with her cousin in the same bed.. I feel uncomfortable. Is this common?
They have been close since childhood, and well, they are pretty close. She is my gf for last couple of years. Last month, due to a family function, her cousin came down to our city. And I went to meet her in the morn, I saw they both were sleeping in the same bed!! Is this common? I mean, gf was pretty normal, she asked to sit on the bed, and we talked. The cousin was still sleeping, and she started teasing him (pulling his ears, pushing him etc), and expected me to join in the 'fun'. Damn. I felt jealous like anything, but kept a straight face. I have had very less number of cousins, and have been away from them since childhood.. I dont get this vibes. Should I get worried, or girls do normally are soooo close to their male cousins? He is a first cousin, (son of her dad's brother). Edit: I am 28, she is 27. Delhi. Hindu. submitted by /u/mujhe_nahi_pata to r/india [link] [comments]

I either drink enough water before sleep and end up needing to wake up to urinate; or I don’t drink enough and wake up because I’m thirsty. What am I doing wrong? I have tried stopping drinking at specific times before bed to find the middle ground but always end up one way or the other.
For context, I’m mid 20s, male, active, balanced diet, average about 7 hours sleep and not on any medication. please help! I can’t find anything online. Also, sorry if I’m asking this in the wrong place but some of the other subs have weird rules. Just a quick edit already, this is every single night. Edit / update: really appreciate all of you taking the time to comment on this to try and help me out. A lot of good suggestion and questions I hadn’t even considered before. One of the top responses seems to be that what I’ve described is very common symptoms in the early stages of diabetes. I’m not going jump to conclusions or self diagnose obviously, so I plan to get checked out as soon as possible to confirm this. Second suggestions appear to be that it could an issue with dry climate / mouth etc and a dehumidifier has been suggested a number of times. Will definitely try this as it should be pretty straight forward to test. Finally, there were a few small changes of behaviour. Front load my water intake a little more, use my mouth wash a little before I sleep and not right before and have a small glass of water just before sleep. Thanks again for all your responses and I’ll continue to read through them; and sorry I haven’t been able to respond to everyone! submitted by /u/forgotmyoldusername4 to r/NoStupidQuestions [link] [comments]

AITA for refusing to clean the bed and causing my husband to sleep on the floor?
EDIT: repost cause I accidently deleted the first one and the issue still stands. My f34 husband m32 has a medical condition (heart problems) and we sleep separately, he sleeps in the bedroom while I am on the couch. he's become partially reliant on me to care for him wether it be cleaning, cooking for him, supervising his medication intake and managing side effects. He's on a number of medications and one of them causes excessive urination (it is essentially to treat the swelling of his feet and abdomen) as a result he urines a lot which's an issue cause he just keeps wetting the bed. Previoysly, he was catheterized so I didn't worry about the bed wetting issue, but he went against the doctor's recommendation and had the catheter taken out and the problem of him wetting the bed started. As a reasonable alternative to taking the catheter out, adult diapers had been recommended but he was 100% against it. We had arguments about it cause it wasn't like he had an allergy preventing him from using diapers. He promised he'd be careful but every time he'd end up wetting the bed and expecting me to clean it, clean everything the sheets, the mattress, the floor even. So far I've cleaned the bed for over 40+ times middle of the night and he still said no whenever I urge him to just wear diapers. It all came to head nights ago, he woke me up shouting from the bedroom that he wet the bed again and needed me to get up and clean it right then, I'm talking 2am!. I expected that and was maddened so I ignored him and remained sleeping. He kept shouting demanding I come clean up then started calling my phone but I turned it off. I got up at 6, found him sleeping on the floor on a spare mattress and the bed was a mess, he woke up and blew up at me calling me nasty and heartless for not rushing to help and clean up the bed for him after he wetted it. I stated that it was his fault for refusing to wear diapers after willingly removing the catheter. He yelled saying the catheter thing caused him suffering, then said he'd never wear diapers cause of his "hurt ego" and "manhood", also said I had a job and I neglected it and acted petty by punishing him this way and causing him to sleep on the floor. I said I was done doing unnecessary chore in the middle of nigh almost every night when he could just use diapers, he was astonished by what I said and called me a monster for enjoying his suffering like that then got SIL to come give me a stern talk about my attitude towards her brother cause her brother' is helpless.AITA? submitted by /u/Throway567579 to r/AmItheAsshole [link] [comments]

ELI5: I brush my teeth right before going to bed and all I do is sleep for a number of hours. Why is it than when I wake up, my mouth is in a much worse condition, in regards to taste and texture, then when I went to bed?
